Ollie is absolutely adorable and what a clever and fine young man for bringing awareness to such beautiful, old character cemetery, (if somewhat neglected, it's still beautiful). Well done Ollie and thank you for sharing it with us. God bless 🙏 xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
It's so sad😢😢 .Right on the other side of the stone wall, a road and houses. I wonder if those who put in vaults and Mausaleums ever thought how they would end up? It is odd what bad shape with the dates not being that old. Alot of grave slabs, wow, great video, thanx , enjoyed it.❤😊❤😊
Thank you, Ollie, for bringing us this beautiful but sad cemetery. It's one of the most overgrown I've seen. So sad when there's no family around to look after them. Those vaults are so overgrown you really can't tell they're vaults until you see some stonework. The one is really in danger of falling over and that would be a shame. Please be careful, you guys of walking around there for it looks very dangerous. Thanks again, Sue, for taking us on the tour.
Last year, a group of friends and I discovered next to an old apartment complex a civil war cemetery. It's embarrassing how depraved it is. Since we've had some community bake sales to raise money to fix, etc. I saw homes near that cemetery. Maybe locals can help?❤
I can't find the words for this disgraceful mess Sue, and I have doubts that the well is still being used! Eww...Well done Ollie🤩. Take care, Deb of Oz XXX
Another great Vlog, Thanks Sue. God bless you, it warms my heart that every time you see a picture, statue or carving of Jesus, you always address him as Lord.
THANK'S-A-BUNCHE'S Olly.... 👍🏼👍🏼 Good find. 😁🤗 Thank You Sue, for sharing! 🤩 And Super Big Thank's to you both for braving through the stickers for us! 🥹🫶🏼😘
Well hello Olly! Nice to see ya and so happy you are still hanging out with your Ma. You are growing up so fast and sure your Ma is proud of you❤. Sue, thanks for taking us around and I just have to say, I'd be digging into that ivy if I even thought it would not collapse on top of me! Maybe they aren't clearing it out because it is the only thing holding some of those vaults' roofs together 😮 Be careful as always and thanks again!
So sad that families die out and there’s nobody to upkeep their tombs. It’s said that only two more generations will be remembered by their offspring. Sad.
I am really enjoying your videos, Serenity Sue. Your Irish accent is so melodic to me. I live in the US, but my father hailed from Dublin, Ireland :-) Your countryside is so beautiful!
So sad that the ivy and briars can't be trimmed back on occasion so one could read names and to protect them from collapse. So pretty and green there. Thank you Sue and GV!!
I'd be trying to find a way to clear it up a bit. I have free reign over about 30 cemeteries. It's mostly Amish cemeteries and a few historical cemeteries. Plus the cemetery my daughter is buried in.
@snickers2877 yes, they mostly take care of the cemeteries, but sometimes during late spring and summer they don't get there as often. The cemeteries I help with all have some variations of Stoltzfus in them. My youngest and Linda Stoltzfoos could have been twins. They were just 3 months apart in age. When Linda was still missing, we had people call the police saying I had kidnapped her and had her with me. Thankfully my youngest had a picture ID with her and after the first incident I carried her birth certificate with me. My middle daughter was 23 when she passed away almost 7 years ago. I'm in Chester County in Brandamore. It's a fancy name for Honey Brook, but just a small section.
❤he’s beautiful I saw a spike that had been hit on the highway makes me want to cry I had the misfortune of hitting one I cried like a baby poor trooper didn’t know what to say
Ahhhh ... look at your wee lad! He is definitely a handsome young man. He did a fine job of finding and researching this old and declining cemetery. So sad so many are now unknown because their slab graves cannot be read for identification. RIP to all that are buried there. ♥️☘️
👋 Sue 😊. Wish I could run away to Ireland! 🍀 Such young deaths. 😢 Always so sad for those left behind. “Overgrown” is being generous!! Good Heavens! 🎶 Tell me why the ivy twines 🎶. Brambles thick, as well. No upkeep done for those buried in this cemetery😢 I’ve seen abandoned cemeteries, even over here. We even have abandoned Funeral Homes, with all left behind. It seems like somehow we need someone to be responsible for these. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. 🤔 It looks like the coffin may have been failing & someone covered them so the remains weren’t exposed anymore, perhaps? ⚰️ Thank you Sue & GV! Glad you don’t do these alone anymore! The potential for stepping the wrong way, etc. is worth being in twos! 💚🍀💚🍀💚🍀💚🍀💚 And a star 🌟 for Ollie!! 😊
Sue your son is so charming! I am confused about why the community would allow a cemetery to get that overgrown. There are attractive new homes across the street. An overgrown cemetery across the street must be lowering their property values. I don’t understand why they don’t care
I run my own gardening business and seeing these over grown graves , I'd love to get in there and clean them up! And like I mentioned before in one of your videos , then camp there 😂 whilst maintaining those graveyards . The historical society in my country town maintain our local Cemetery. They usually put on a working bee and locals who are keen to help will look after its grounds. Country Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 Another beautiful place Sue. 👍
Most of the vaults and mausoleums are covered with Hedera (Ivy) plants unable to look but it is a very large cemetery yard with more burials. May their souls rest in peace..
What a wonderful son Ollie is. That cemetery is a sad affair. Don’t the councils look after them? They could like you said ask for volunteers. I do hope it happens. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
My goodness, Ollie is a cutie pie! I understand your frustration about how the vaults especially are overgrown with ivy and thorns, but there is something a little comforting about the earth taking us back into her embrace. I also loved the shot of the Well. I know it is supposed to be a Catholic place, but the activity there is straight up pagan/Druidic.
I love walking graveyards to look at the history they can tell us. I would like to write down some names to find out what they did in life if I can in council records if I can.
The lop sided Fitzgerald vault is my wife's mothers people from Kilkee. They are all gone now! I keep the ivy off the vault but that's all I can do. The slab on top is in memory of Margaret Fitzgerald nee Belson who died in 1870.
Thank you Gerry, I hope that the local authorities can get in here and help with this graveyard. It's not a task for one person. Thank you for the information. RIP to all those interred here
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Here's one for you! The mound to the right of the sloping Fitzgerald tomb is also a Fitzgerald tomb. That's the tomb of Robert Fitzgerald, father of Capt. Charles Fitzgerald who was governor of western Australia circa 1850. Its amazing what you can find in remote grave yards!
You should bring a walking stick with you in your car. It may help you test ground in front of you that you can't see. Even an old tree branch that you find on the edge of a road.

Well done Ollie. You are a very fine looking young man. As for the cemetery, part of it is not that bad looking, but that overgrowth is the worst I have ever seen. Whoever eventually cleans that up, will have one hell of a job. What is the story about that grass that the authorities do not want cut? Thank you very much Sue and GV and Ollie, for another great video. Have a great week ahead 😀
Vaults are little structures. Just as a house untended will eventually fall to ruin, so too the vaults give way to time and the elements, with no one to look after them.

I'm not sure what I'd do lol

What is saying that they allowed that to happen but I love the Celtic crosses
Lots of thos celtic crosses in Ireland
This place needs a flock of hungry goats to eat the overgrowth. It’s still beautiful but sad.
That would actually be a great idea here
