Hope you find these suggestions useful and fun :) Don't forget to leave your own top tip in the comments if there is something I've missed out. If you'd like to watch my entire playthrough of Gears Tactics you can find it on my second channel here th-cam.com/video/_5HTIfrH_Cw/w-d-xo.html or why not come over to Twitch and join me as we check out new games www.twitch.tv/markgfl
Tip regarding the sniper: I've learned that the damage buff of Run and Gun, active reload, alpha , Omega all stacked together and if you pair this with the gun attachment power bolt you can deal an absolute preposterous amount of damage with a single shot.
Tip I’ve found useful for early game : dismiss / recruit all soldiers you can (or leave an empty slot for this) as they soon come with upgraded Pistols, weapon Mods and sometimes armor that are either hard to come by in the first Act, or that you might have missed depending on the loot RNG.
I love how basic half of these things are for XCOM veterans ^^ I'm still on the fence for Gears Tactics though, because I'm not really a Gears fan, I'd only play it for the gameplay and honestly, XCOM and Phoenix Point have me covered already. If you enjoyed the Gameplay in Gears Tactics though, I highly recommend XCOM: Enemy Within and XCOM 2: War of the Chosen.
I should check out XCOM at some point when I get time. If you liked them then Gears is certainly worth a look, especially via the Game Pass for peanuts offer.
Lol no I don't touch WoT any more, these days I play games from more reputable companies ;) And while I haven't been as busy here recently I do still stream other games 3 times per week on Twitch. Currently playing Maneater which has just been released - its a bit like GTA but you play as a shark :D
@@AdamHuntPhotography That used to take up hours of my time. I'd spend 3-4 hours watching replays back that looked like they had epic results, only to see that the player was just spamming gold, using an aimbot or half way through the battle started abusing everyone in chat and shouting out racist, sexist or homophobic slurs and I'd realise that no way was going to feature such an asshole. Plus it just generated hostile and angry comments - not at me, just in general. As you may know, WoT annoys the hell out of so many people that still continue to play it and rant, rage, rave and blather about it at every opportunity. Being surrounded by such constant waves of negativity is pretty draining so I'm glad I have nothing to do with any of it any more. When I quit and started playing a larger variety of games it was like a revelation! I had missed out so many awesome games whilst being focused on WoT - games that made me laugh out loud, intrigued me with their awesome story or drew me into amazing open worlds of adventure. And not once in any of those games since WoT did I meet somebody who sent me a pm wishing I would get cancer my family die of aids - so no, I won't be revisiting WoT ;)
Hello. I have a question about the xp winning system. What can I do to earn more xp? Where can I get information about how many xp I earned for each mob I killed?
Hi and thanks for the question. I'm not sure it makes much difference if you manage to kill more mobs, or if there is an XP cap per mission. You can though do the control missions and try to make them last longer (the ones where you have to build up supply) whilst killing the waves of mobs. Or you can repeat some of the missions for more XP too. Sorry I couldn't offer more advice.
@@narimanos I was wracking my brains trying to remember who or what Jack was and couldn't remember any drone. Just looked him up though - looks like he was introduced into the game last November, long after I played all the way through it :D At least that explains why I didn't remember him, thankfully I'm not going mad! I would guess he comes in as a squad member after one of the story missions?

Haven't played yet, still on the fence whether this game was for me, but thanks for the tips.
I should have my "Would I Recommend..." video out on this game later today with more info on it :)
I would love that they do something about the recruits not getting experience while they are in the barracks.
Like an option to set them in training or similar? That would be good.
Mark your back 😄 You thinking of doing any wot stuff because I love your commentary
