when you were sitting in your car showing the books, I was going where's the mother goose. That was my favorite too! I also liked the fairy tale book to!
I LOVE finding vintage books like these! You might want to do a quick search for some of them, especially the tasha tudor book. They can often sell for $30-80!

Great Haul. Before you use the Tasha Tudor book for ephemera you might want to check the value on etsy. Her illustrations are amazing and her books are pretty collectible. Congrats on 1K sales!! :o)

It's the Tasha Tudor Book of Fairy Tales, quick look on Etsy has it ranging anywhere from $10 to $98 depending on the date/edition it is. Worth checking out! But a great find and her illustrations are simply adorable, she had an interesting life too! :o)
Yes, Tasha Tudor is one of my moist favorite illustrators! She was a fascinating woman, too!

Congrats on 1000! I picked some old books at our bins. They charge 15 - 30 cents per inch. You stack them up on the counter and they measure with a yardstick!
Ooo, love the fairy tale theme. I did some mixed media canvas panels of a few and have to do more because they sold. Need some for myself. A journal would be great! Tasha Tudor has the prettiest illustrations.

I got that whole children's encyclopedia set for 5 bucks the other week! I was so excited! Our only thrifts have books for 2-5 dollars, anything under that is nearly unheard of around here sadly! I love old books and magazines, they have such a wonderful energy and feel to them, great haul!
Shelby D The bins are where Goodwill sells things that aren't suitable for the stores. This one is really not far from my house.
I am new to you, found you through Liz Drake. The Tasha Tudor book you found is an excellent find. It is worth a lot more than 0.30. She is an amazing watercolor artist and a naturalist. If you look her up you will discover so many things about her and how she lived a simple life. I love her art work, I have the same book. I want to cut it up and journal also, but haven't been able to do it yet. I always struggle cutting up old children's books. Someday I will just do it. I can't wait to see what you do with Tasha's beautiful pictures.
