I feel so lucky your video showed up first when I searched for it. This could have been one of those days where I spend hours looking for answers that no one has. One thing you didnt mention and it might just be because this was a while ago is that I had to "initialize" the disk before I could format it but that was easy to figure out. If your HDD isn't registering on your pc but you go into what is shown above that everything is allocated or already formatted, right click on your desired hard drive you're installing and delete volume and create the simple volume and it should work. the reason for that is your HDD was already formatted under another console and your pc doesn't recognizes it so there you go

If your SSD storage device is not showing in your computer the EASIEST of solutions is : 1) if you have a second SSD or hard drive, unplug the the cable from it. 2) Unplug the cable from the faulty one. 3) Plug in the cable from the other SSD and VOILA problem solved. Your SSD will show in your PC and all the data will be there etc,etc.
