I guarantee this is the issue with my 2017 Volkswagen Passat and I’ll come back and update you once I’ve changed them out.

So I've had these lights come on for about 3 weeks now, and just today while I went to brake a stop sign, my car did a weird little jolt and made a loud whirring noise, enough to turn heads. Would this little sensor still cause that, or could it actually be my ABS?

Its usually an abs speed sensor I just went to the shop one sensor will active airbag lights abs and traction and tire pressure will blink dont let nobody scam u if lights come on all at the same time.

Ahhh so the senors cause the airbag to because I’m having the same issue all the lights pop up on the dash and my right front abs wheel speed senor is bad
2010 jetta tdi. Mine all came on at once because of a severe sunroof leak passenger side which soaked all the wiring on that side. Tore all the cabin covering off, it's all dry but cant reset codes. Fuses check out.
yeah man. I took care of my spark plug wires, coil and the spark plugs and fixed the misfiring issue. Then all of a sudden the airbag, traction control, abs and brake light came on all at the same time. Do you think this is the issue?

i replaced all4 on my 2011 jetta yesterday, and unlucky light came on next morning again..i'll try to get a good scanning tool and clear them
After replacing the sensors, do you have to go for a little drive before they reset? Or did they reset once you turned the car on?
I drove about 3000 feet and it reset.
I have tiguan 2.0tsi 2014, i did not have this problem in summer, but as soon as it started raining and temp dropped.
Traction light on and tyre pressure at the same time but only then i start the car in the morning or when is not driven for couple of hours.
When I drive for a 20min. turn of the car off and then start it again then the traction light goes off and tyre light blink’s for 2-4 times and goes off.
The traction control where speed odometer is turns on because is 4wd i have to light’s for traction, the other one did not turn on is where rpms are the left side.
I just want to know is the rear side sensor that i should check or the front side.
I'm not sure but there not expensive I would just replace them all.
almost $500 to change at the dealer
Wish it was that easy. I replaced them and the lights are still on. Cleared ECU. Same issue

Could be the actual abs module it makes the same symptoms
Eur102 at the dealers...got a quote yesterday...

@@wantabgearhead8227 Eur130 (extra) to hook up diagnostics during a normal service and Eur102 to replace the sensor. So in essence that means about Eu200 for the one fix...I don't mind to pay for something but that is really too much...Ordering the part and will do it myself...Same thing happened with one of my Xenon headlights...

@frankcruzrosado133 the scanner was Harbour freight I think zr11 from about 6 years ago, as for as part number I don't remember but I got them off amazon.
@ what was the scanner saying about this codes? Advance auto parts told me it was the abs module but I wonder if it might this and I could quickly fix it for pennies!
@frankcruzrosado133 the abs sensors aren't expensive and pretty easy to put in.

You can call the dealer with the Vin number and they can tell you, you can go to a auto store and they should able to do the same.
this is happening for me besides the air bag light and I’m not sure what to do because I’m not a mechanic. worried it is going to be expensive.
You can go to a Autozone and they will scan it for free and let you know what is triggering the lights.
My traction light comes on and the tire light comes on and my car pulls to the left what could that be

Some things to check; low tire pressure, hub bearing (jack up and test), inner or outer tie rod joint, mismatched tire or wheel, air in brake fluid of one corner or another, or merely a misalignment.

I would think so but got to Autozone and ask them scan your car, they do it for free and see if it gives you some direction as to what is causing it. Let me know, I love learning new things.
I’ve had the same problem in the past few days with my 2013 Jetta sport wagon TDI
It seems to be an intermittent problem. When I start the car, those lights come on. Additionally, there is some sort of steering warning light as well. But the steering feels fine
When I drive for a while they go off.
When the lights are on, I hook up a code scanner and it’s not showing any codes . I’m sure it’s one of those abs speed sensors. Because it’s not showing a code I guess I’m going to have to change them all?
@johnforsyth8414 yes, mine started out the same way. Let me know if you change them and if it fixes the problem.

I have all the same lights on but absolutely no codes... Any advice? Should I just try to replace 4 of these sensors
I'm not sure, mine showed codes. Maybe go by autozone and have them scan it they'll do it for free.
I would like to know if you can showed me how to erase the air bag light. I also have the tire pressure light on and the antilock. I just ordered all four sensors brand new, hopefully it works. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for the comment , Some say disconnect your battery terminals and hold the cables together for a few minutes and that will reset the computer but in my case when I changed the sensor all the lights went out by themselves. Change your sensors and see what happens, if it doesn't go out see if Autozone can reset it with their scanner it's usually free.

Hello, i just cleaned my throttle body and MAP sensor and now i’m getting an ABS light? Any reason why?
Nevermind, my grandpa told me it’s common for it to turn on after something like that. Just drove it and now it’s gone 😅

The same problem with my 2016 VW Passat that happened July 18. The dealer will charge both arms and legs. Can a local mechanic fix this for cheaper or should I take it to the VW dealer. I barely drive my car and has under 50,000 miles. This car was new when I purchased Aug 2016.
@chipssunshine8273 any dealer will charge an arm & leg, it's not hard to do if you feel you can do it.
The error on my skoda is P18261 the ABS connection with the TC is broken, do you have any advice?
No, I've never delt with that one , I would just search TH-cam I'm amazed as to what you can learn this social platform. Let me know what you find , I'm very curious .
My 2017 Jetta keeps having this issue with ABS, steering wheel column, and airbag lights all on then 5 minutes later they disappear. I’ll get it checked out and see if it comes up the same error code. Thank you!

I’m curious to know the response as well. This morning on the way to work my abs, airbag, and tire pressure light all came on for about 2 minutes then went off. I could also hear my door locks click. I have a 2015 tdi sportswagon. Thanks!!

@@wantabgearhead8227 Yeah the door lock thing was weird, but it only happend that one time. I have noticed issues with my door locks (i.e. getting in the car and not being able to lock it right away). The lights all came back on yesterday after work and I took it to the local mechanic. Turns out I have the exact issue you had in your video! Easy fix, thanks for the help!

As far as I know most auto stores will scan it for free.
Have a same issue with my 2006 EOS tdi, code is right rear ABS sensor. I replaced it but the yellow lights are still on. When start the car the morning it is off, then reaching a speed of 20-30 km/h, it switches on again. What can be the issue?
@glaszlo9694 I'm not sure, I would think it's not reading at that speed. If you figure it out let me know, I always like learning new things.
Having this same issue with my 2013 Tiguan changed the rear sensors lights still on … can the front cause this too? Gonna change them tomorrow

@@wantabgearhead8227 I asking this because my passat b6 dosent have electronic valve i'm pretty sure this is the same mechanism from this time on VWs like 2005 2010 +, and i have a friend have same issue on VW POLO 1.6TDI 6R 2010 but we changed the ABS sensor but the ABS light is still on and blinking because the cable has been damaged by the previous owner..... when we replaced it, the problem not solved... i scared from risk to have the same issue on my passat if i touch the ABS sensor... idw the light turn ON. For more indication about tire pressure light, on my passat and on my friend polo the button SET for tire pressure dosent work, but when we check the contact and button with a multimetter he work! So whats the problem ? sensor ?

Mine started happening recently the abs / traction / airbag and the tire light starts flashing it sometimes goes away and sometimes it stays on it could be my wheel speed sensor’s hopefully
For me my battery died, caa came n sold me a new battery. But I still had to go to the dealership n make them reset the system to remove the icons
@@als.gti-iG ohh I put a new sensor lights still poped up I erased the codes with my Cobb and still popped up idk what else could be the problem people say it’s best to get oem sensors then aftermarket ones.

Wow, I wouldn't think it was connected but with these newer cars you never know. I would go to Autozone and have them scan it but have them remove the codes and see if they come back. You never know it could have just been a fluke.

Would this cause a loss of power/ acceleration? I’ve got all the same lights. My car drives fine but last night I lost power like limp mode but I have a standard. Mk6 2.5L
I personally didn't loose any power but I did replace them rather quickly.
I have a 2011 golf 2.5 Anna having the same issues, ABS AIRBAG TPMS and now my brake light is flashing with full brake fluid and the brakes aren’t bad
First happened when I hit a median with my left front tire, went away, came back some months later and went away once I got an oil change, month or two later it’s there as of now
@@delsanders2 as I've suggested to others go to autozone and they usually will scan your car for free and probably point you to right direction as to what the problem might be. Let me know, I love learning as much as I can.

Yea, I sold mine as soon as I got everything right, I made a video of it because I sold it to Carvana , check it out, I made out really well. Those Volkswagen's are expensive to repair. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Got the same problem on my 2018 jetta. I changed the rear left sensor drove a bit and the lights came back on again. Any suggestions will be highly welcomed.
I would put a code scanner on it, if you don't have one Autozone will scan it for free. It might give you some direction as to where the problem is, that's how I figured mine out. Let me know I'm curious.
