Watching this as I popped round my uncles today and he's rebuilding one. £600 for a set of pistons 🤯🤯🤯 absolutely awesome bike. Very different and who doesn't love a twin smoker
@@DesmoWerx I can believe that 😆 do you know anything about cylinder matching? My uncles one has two 'A' cylinders. Not sure if it should be A and B.. love the heads you use in this by the way 👌
Good to hear Nick :) Two strokes are great bikes to work on There will be some more NX5 content over the winter as I work through the bike again to get it ready for next year.
Great vid , brings back memories, I raced a 94 nx5 rs 250 for a few years, great machine, really sorry I ever sold it. What’s it like for getting parts of Honda nowadays?
They are great bikes, getting better to get spares now as they become more collectable more people are starting to reproduce parts again. Some parts are easier to get than others.
Great video, please could you tell me the micrometer brand and type that I would need to measure squish for a nsr250? I believe stock squish is 1.1-1.2mm.
HI Andy, I have not put the RS on the Dyno yet. I am running unleaded at the moment as when I got the bike it did not have the parts to run Avgas, I have now sourced the parts so will burn through the unleaded and then make the change to Avgas.
Hi Gunube, It is because it allows quick and easy volume changes just by using inserts especially as its really hard to get hold of the different volume standard heads now.
Halfway through watching the 748 series, he becomes (temporarily) distracted by the RS250 - amazing channel - my favourite bikes!
Me too, they make for a nice distraction when they run right lol
Now this I need to watch closely. I have a 94 NX5 and 2 NX4's I need to rebuild. All have been sitting for a dozen years.
Lucky man to have 3 NX's in the garage 😊

They are amazing bike but so expensive to run now 😢

Amazing how you find the way to adjust all the measures.....Thanks for teaching
You are welcome, glad you enjoy the video's 👍😎

I would shut the doors, fire it up and bask in the sweet ambiance 👃😵
A beautiful bike mate.
Thanks Gary, cant beat the smell of two stroke smoke in the morning lol

loved it!
Thanks, I have owned her for 5 years, this will be the first race :)
I was wondering what ports timings use nx5's... ???
great little vid ,what sort of power does it make om unleaded and why not run it on avgas ?

@@DesmoWerx are you using vhm pistons also, looking forward to your next video on this
Geeee since the beginning I was wonder what is this 2 strokes bike in your garage 😁
I love it.
French brake so ? Isn't it the best ever ?
One of my non Ducati distractions in the garage Romain, another V Twin still :)
Not used the brakes before so will see at Cadwell, they look strong
Did this end up being a worthwhile mod?

@@DesmoWerx Ah...I see now. Thanks for the reply.
What spacing do I need to run those Beringer calipers?
Hi Alex, they are the same 40mm mount as the standard brembo calipers.
มีรุ่นที่เป็นโปรอารม์โซ่อยู่ข้างขวาด้วย
This is a RS250R which is the full blown race bike, different to the road going NSR's and RC series of bikes with the pro arms.
