I graduate December 2023. Love everything about it. Depending on how good you are, the sky is the limit. The better you are, the bigger projects you’ll work on. Just today I had a guest speaker who was 1 of 3 production engineers on a multi billion dollar rig. I’d imagine he was making no less than 400k a year…
Hello sir! I want to transfer into petroleum engineer domain. Currently I am working as Software developer but my graduation is from Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Plz, guide me to this domain.
@@contemplator1993 if you already have an EE degree, I’d consider sticking with that and try applying to oil and gas companies. The same companies petroleum engineers are hired into also hire all sorts of other majors including EE majors. Are you looking for higher pay or do you not enjoy EE?
@@lucky1time811 I meant I haven't worked in pure EE jobs instead I am workin in CSE jobs as software developer. Problem in software developer jobs is that environment isn't that gud bcoz too many feminists females colleagues will be there who try to frustrate people by complaining & other shits. So I thought shifting to Petroleum Engineering bcoz it would've only men in it. No gossip & complains which lead to peace of mind. 🕊️ Also I heard petroleum engineers have high pay as well.
Wow nice … sorry if I may ask what country and how was it like to get your first job …. Also you mentioned December 2023 … could that have been a mistake
@@abdulahiadesokan7684 the US. I don’t think so, now is the best time to be graduating with a petroleum engineering degree. Demand was low and nobody was drilling during 2020 and most of 2021 because of the pandemic. 2022 statistics will be higher of course or the same as 16-19 because they're not drilling as much because they are enjoying the high price per barrel profits for their shareholders and dividends too

Hello sir! I will study for a master's degree in petroleum engineering in the No.1 petroleum university in China, majoring in numerical simulation. I want to study for a doctorate or work in the United States in the future. What should I do now?
My son is interested in patroleum engineering. He has worked in the industry for several years. He is concerned because he wasn’t good with math. He is 27 yo. I’m encouraging him to consider it anyway. Any advice? He currently lives in PA, works in WV, and is considering moving to TX in 2025.
Do they give opportunities to girls to work after graduation? I'm studying petroleum engineering rn but because I'm girl I'm really worried about finding a job in the future.
