I met her at a private signing and found her to be warm and engaging. It seemed very genuine. Not sure what happened with her slip of the tongue, but I'm glad she's back and wish her well.
Paula shows the county that southern food is loved by everyone. She can say and do anything she wants. We will always love her in the south.
My mom is friends with her, We almost went to her house in georgia but unfortunately she was in new york filming for today so she sent us to a restaurant that only people who were invited could go to, It had the best southern home cooking EVER.

I found her on TH-cam last year and watch her everyday. It sounds like she was among the first victims of cancel culture. I'm glad she didn't quit.

In moderation, butter is far healthier than margarine. The human body has evolved to natural foods, not processed crap. That's why so many people are obese today than years past.

Is there no way to obtain forgiveness in this day & age? I was so mad when I realized that this woman who raised two sons on her own, built her own business from scratch, and worked like a dog, could not be forgiven for saying a word that was common in the South where she grew up! No, it is not right, and I being raised in the South would never say it, but she BEGGED for people to forgive her for saying it. Being racist goes both ways! I remember as a Canadian having first come across Paula Dean on The Food Network-I was hooked! I loved her sweet, yet very real personality and her cooking...oh my...makes me hungry just thinking about it!
She was judged WAY too harshly!! And was not disappointed in her- but by how much backlash she received. She said a few offensive things yes but you'd think she murdered someone.
Anyway, glad to see she's didn't stay down long! And hope to see more of her!

I just love Ms Paula! I wasn't surprised to here about the racist language she used, especially in this climate today. I forgive her and I do accept her apology. I bought her cookbooks in the past and make some of her recipes too. I love her stories and she has a giving spirit. God is love and I pray continued success.
