I dunno what country/region you live in. But my provider requires newest version of Android or KaiOS and high definition voice. If it doesn't have that, my carrier will drop all my connections.
If you want a phone with keyboard then YES (I guess this is the only option). If you want a newer and better phone then you are better with a Samsung Galaxy.
