I've seen the "Chain Holes" (not sure what they are officially called sorry) around our metro park and never knew for what. I just stumbled across this video and know now. Thank you. I and also now intrigued enough my wife and I are going to try playing this next weekend. We only have frisbees but they will have to work. Thank you.
Hope you had a great time! If you plan to take it serious though you’ll at least need a driver and putter disc. Slowly move into finding what weight you like and go for a mid range disc. Hope this helps! Enjoy the disc golf journey addiction ;)
Still gives goose bumps and lots of emotion after all this time. Post production was right after the tournament, that was genuine emotion cause it was still fresh!
I saw philo’s shot when it first happened before I had any idea what disc golf was and for all the years since then and when I started playing disc golf I had always thought it was a fever dream until I saw it again recently
I've probably seen the Holy Shot 200 times since worlds but I still get emotional when I see. It truly couldn't have happened to a better person. Now it's Sexton's turn.
I just wanna say how awesome your compilations are! Consistently entertaining and educational (particularly on this one with some of the classics that many new players may not have ever seen or heard of). I hope everyone subscribed takes the extra step to share these so you can grow your channel! It's exceptional seeing that nearly over 85% of your subscribers have seen this on the very day it was posted! Keep up the amazing work!
That was probably your best top 10 video to date. Kevin's ace on 16, for some reason that looked like a nasty spill like he broke his leg or something. It's got to be up there as one of the best ace videos out there. Has anyone or how often does 16 get aced
The origin of raptor legs I believe (or at least when it became a big thing). And also when Ricky took “momentum” from Paul and 2016-17 became Ricky’s years. Also one of the first (if not the first) disc golf tournament I watched fully through.
2025 checking in. A lot of people moving around. Sponsors aren't wanting to pay out much. The covid disc golf bubble has burst and its rapidly slowing down.
I still cannot believe the lack of excitement for Philo’s albatross on the course!! He is THE SMOOTHEST MAN to ever hit a course!! So much character and style!!
the reason why it wasnt is because it really wasnt that important of a shot, it didnt help him win or anything like that. It was just a one of the greatest shots ever for a long time
Loved watching this. Thanks for posting this. I just want to say….don’t hate on me….but James has said himself that he doesn’t like the name “the Holy Shot”.
A friend of mine snapped a bone in two doing exactly that. Luckily he was out playing with a friend of ours who is a nurse in the ER. He is throwing further than ever now that he has time to heal and get back at it!
@@crabtime2116 Exactly. It's like Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100 points in a basketball game back in the 60s/70s. That can't be done now because there is way more competition. Winning 12 worlds back then is probably the equivalent to winning 3 or 4 now. Still very impressive of course
James needs to donate that envy to the disc golf ball of fame. I want to be able to take my kids to the hall of fame and tell them about the most incredible sports moment Ive ever seen in my life.
Paul is definitely the GOAT, and it’s not even close. The level of competition now compared to when Ken played is insanely more difficult to win. There was basically 4 players playing against each other back then….and those guys wouldn’t stand a chance on tour today. Yet Paul continues to win consistently. He’s solidified his position as the best to ever play.
i have to disagree. i think it was lucky that he made that shot. i don't mean that he didn't play well but that shot was not the way i would want a championship to be winned.
3:35 I think he could care less about the Frisbee going in the bike chains. He might be more worried about the torn acl. But REAL MEN tear their ACLs playing Frisbee golf lol
You should’ve used the disc golf networks footage for James’s shot, that was raw footage and in the jomez coverage they already knew what happened and were acting
@@colinmcmasters5819 No. I was there. I talked briefly with Jeremy after the tournament and before they had a chance to do their version. He was wondering how he was going to put his thoughts together to do commentary on such an incredible moment. He also was looking at the distance and wanted to get the distance right. We were standing near the spot James threw it from when Jeremy was talking about this.
@@colinmcmasters5819 You can see both of the commentators in the crowd watching that shot. Hard to be in the commentary booth and on the course at the same time.
Things have sure progressed since I played "Frisbee golf" as a teen in the 70s. It's nice to see the sport gain in stature and talent. I'd rather see this in the Summer Olympics than crap like synchronized swimming and speed-walking 🤣
The lack of reaction to philos albatross is criminal
I don't know if many people were there but I agree best albatross I've ever seen
Yeah, that albatross is absolutely bonkers! Legendary!
It is like back to back hole in ones.
Didn't they say eagle? Maybe they thought it was an eagle. Not that it makes a difference, because it's the same incredible throw.
It's a frisbee... A toy you use to play with your dog. Relax
Paul’s reaction to James throwing it in is priceless😂 he can’t help but be impressed
I think the whole disc golfing community was impressed with the holy shot

I've heard some people say that was the first ace ever on that hole.
shout outs to Ricky's tournament-winning putt on 18 during the 2016 masters against Paul. Always gives me goosebumps.
Was waiting for that one as well
very very`sad that it was not on the list, a top 3 moment for sure.
The origin of raptor legs I believe (or at least when it became a big thing). And also when Ricky took “momentum” from Paul and 2016-17 became Ricky’s years.

This channel gives me goose pimples....so many good vibes and great film work. 🎥 🍻 👏
Can't wait to see where this sport will be in the future, the competition is just getting stronger and stronger.
2025 checking in. A lot of people moving around. Sponsors aren't wanting to pay out much. The covid disc golf bubble has burst and its rapidly slowing down.
The Waco -18 was definitely not as good as the DGLO one, and Paul Mcbeth is on record saying the same thing
Just that putt alone on 18 was incredible, up hill 60 footer and just knowing what it means and then step up and nail it. Amazing
it says no particular order
@@BallisticBerry ah you’re right I didn’t see that
@@kirkmaxwellofficial yeah its weird him adding the numbers before each if it wasnt in a certain order, he shoulda just left the numbers out
Never knew this game existed. I love it. I played frisbee in college, I’m hooked.
Big Jerm standing frozen in time is the only appropriate reaction to Kevin’s ace
Wow very cool! Never realized this was played on a professional level! Impressive throws!
Great compilation!
Philoso albatross is the OG disc golf sensation
Lmao no he’s not💀
Say what you will about Nikko, but that Albatross was awesome to watch and his reaction was such pure joy and so fun to watch
Keep making stuff like this and stay off nikkos back and u have me. Also this video alone shows y Paul is the Goat.. McBeast nation
... wow... never knew this sport existed... subbed!
WOOOOOOW Unbelievable~Amazing~☆☆☆☆☆
Those throws are amazing
Great video as always
VIDEO REQUEST: Times when chase card went on to win, or all chase card wins. ❤✌
The way the dude slipped on #5 killed me tho. He looked like he got sniped haha
This should be an Olympic sport!!
Way more than actual cankle frat boy rapist golf
I still cannot believe the lack of excitement for Philo’s albatross on the course!! He is THE SMOOTHEST MAN to ever hit a course!! So much character and style!!
03:48 You know this guy was asking, "why did I have to ragdoll on that ace?"
Philo's Albatross deserves a higher spot. It made ESPN's top 10 that particular week.
Lmao he’s black who cares💀
The look on Paul McBeth's face at 13:14 shows how good James Conrad's throw was.
thats the "so thats how it feels" look lol
More shocking vs good. I look at it more as it took/takes a miracle shot or round to beat mcbeth. He’s truly the GOAT man.
@@jedediahgordon4064 I doubt McBeth would ever have to say that. He is the GOAT after all.
Again!!! Nice!!!!
Philos albatross is so much more historic. Regardless it was harder anyways requiring a blind flex shot that I think was slightly further.
the reason why it wasnt is because it really wasnt that important of a shot, it didnt help him win or anything like that. It was just a one of the greatest shots ever for a long time
He’s black and trash
I would disagree with the order of a lot of these but I love all of these clips
It literally says “In no certain order”
Idiot
Loved watching this. Thanks for posting this. I just want to say….don’t hate on me….but James has said himself that he doesn’t like the name “the Holy Shot”.
You should do some videos of the best shots with "X" disc series!
I think that 10 and 9 being in competition play is bigger than KJs ace in a skins match but the videos nuts and bolts are solid
Yeah but that’s one of the craziest aces ever filmed, it has its argument. Great list
Cray cray ! Makes me want to go throw some disc till I die !
5:04 my greatest moment in dg. @TAStormChasing is me 😄

"The Shot Heard 'Round the Worlds" > "The Holy Shot"
Great video but where is the Nate Doss ace at Memorial? First SC top ten for disc golf.
That one could of been up there
this feel like a 2009 youtube video. nice.
Good fall-o-through
Kevin's slip looked legit gnarly. That's how you tear a knee right there. Yikes.

Ricky over Sexton @ 2016 Majestic with a 6 hole playoff was deserving as well.
I bet Sexton still wakes up sweating and screaming with nightmares from clanking that short putt.

So, this game actually caught on from the looks of it.
There's no way that the holy shot is 3 years old already. Damn....

Honorable Mentions include: Scott Stokely's $14,200 throw through the woods and Gannon's skins Ace on hole 18
11:08... the guy stepped over the plinth's edge... is that not a 'foul'?
He stepped over the edge after he released the disc. That is not a foul, unless it is within 10 meters of the basket.
Iconic playoffs but neither are more historic than Mcbeth's 18 downs or grand slam!

You should’ve used the disc golf networks footage for James’s shot, that was raw footage and in the jomez coverage they already knew what happened and were acting
