SUGGESTION: ARDYTH … Hey, Girl … I know it’s been ingrained in us that anything paper & ink HAS to start on the left and work toward the right, but it would probably behoove you, as a southpaw, to start your stripes on the right and work toward the left. Your sleeve edges may also benefit from the change. Be well!
I’m new to your channel and I really love it because it’s creative. Sometimes the products do all the work, and that’s fine, but it doesn’t always scratch the itch. And lots of your ideas can easily be modified so I can craft with my toddler. Thank you for bring the “craft” back in crafting.
I had to read that comment a few times! lol! I was like 'what pouch, I didn't make a pouch'. But now I get it. And yes, it's gotten me out of a jam quite a few times! Thanks for stopping by!
I would love to see either your top ten favorite cards….or Your top ten Christmas cards…I know that’s a little like picking a favorite child, but if possible I think we’d be MORE than interested!….Oh, this could be never ending…your top ten stamped cards, your top ten die cut cards, your top ten embossed cards….and on and on…there’s a series for you! Love your work would love to see what you love! Thanks Jan
LOL! I generally find that the ones I like best are not always the ones that 'do well' when I share them. These sound like little reels/shorts/slideshows that could be fun! Thanks for watching!
The blue one, that turned into green…. My daughter is looking at this card and said, the gold smudges look like Christmas lights in the background as you are focusing on the words. . Sometimes mistakes in our eyes, look great in others, especially to those that aren’t into our craft. I love these designs and ideas.
Your second technique, the Merry Christmas card…..when you blended over the splatter, it gave the card sort of an ethereal look, which I really liked. Thanks for sharing.
I just cannot get over how delightful those mosaic cards are-and my goodness they were easy!!! That’s my style and colors! Bright, white, bold, simple! Loved them!
I like the strips with stripes the best! But the other 2 techniques look great too. Most of my best cards are rescues of ideas that didn't start out so good originally! I like the way both tone on tone cards turned out!
I admire your patience with cards your not immediately happy with. You work it til you're satisfied with the project. The second I'm not perfectly happy with my card, into the trash it goes..maybe 2, 3 or 4 times before I'm happy..I need to give those poor rejects some more love...
Haha! Exactly what you said, happens to me too - I just have never posted it as a video - that would definitely be one of a kind! lol!. Sometimes a card just does not want to be made, and let's face it, not every idea is going to work - I try to keep it fun and not let my recycling bin judge me for being too full! LOL! Thanks so much for watching!
Wow! I never saw that multi colored strip technique! That was great. I was just thinking of embossing with my stencil this afternoon! I got distracted but thanks for the reminder😍
OMG, yet another amazing video, especially cause i, as you, also hardly ever use my markers or it has been quite a while, so LOVE your ideas and LOVE using them again this simple, thx soooo much 👍🤣🍀
I’m saving this to my playlist and noting the time stamp of 9:42 so I can refer to the stencil embossing sandwich in the future. It’s so timely because I was planning to do this technique later today and was going to be on a search for instructions! Yay & hooray for stumbling onto this today!
I'm so glad it was helpful - I just want to remind you that I was using a Gemini Junior, so if that's not the machine you're using you may still need to search! lol! Thanks for watching!
@@ardyth oh my gosh! I'm so thankful you mentioned this! I totally assumed it was a universal sandwich for stencil embossing! You definitely saved me twice today! Extra Angel wings for you, Ardyth! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
I have never seen the mosaic technique before and I LOVE it! I think I “need” one of those spinning platforms like you were using. I enjoy your videos so much! Thanks for another great one!
So glad you enjoyed it. I have to say that the turntable was purchased on a whim, and for a while, (and even now), sometimes I forget to get it out, but it makes blending so much easier when I do! lol! Thanks for watching!
Great cards Ardyth, I do not recall ever seeing the stripe technique. The little circle dies you have for lost i dots, is it still available anywhere? I could sure use that one. Thanks for sharing
Oh boy, I honestly do not remember where those dies came from, I feel like I've had them forever. Maybe MFT? Stampin' Up? Gina K has a set called Lots of Dots, that cuts lots of different sizes. I also have some polka dot cover plate dies that are useful for this technique (and sometimes I cut them from metallic cardstock and use the dots as embellishments). Thanks for watching!
I love love your mosaic card Ardyth. I vaguely remember seeing this technique! I have 6 pastel chisel tip highlighters I think might work if I pair them up. It should be fun. I favor the card with the mosaic background and white tree. It's a stunner. I don't have any large background stamps but the one you used is gorgeous. I think a black and white iteration would look sharp. Marissa watched the WCMD show w/me. That whole show was great. Your roulette card w/ the columns from Friday eve came out great. M even reminded me it was about to start. I was in tears when you explained the making of your Scottish children! You do have a way with words! Till next time... :)
I really love the way the smudged gold splatters looks on that green card! All these are lovely!! ... and now I'm going to use all my hoarded paper strips up😊
Thank you so much for showing your struggle through these cards. So often I watch and think, I’ll never get that good because I just don’t have the time to get practice. I need a card and that’s when I get in my room. Rarely ever to play.
I love the striped cards! That's my next plan, thank you. I also have forgotten to use my markers, which are probably dried now. The die for cutting out dots is great, I've never seen that one before. I use my old office hole-punch, and although there's no variety in size, it doesn't seem to matter on the end product. I added a Gina K die to the supply list - it's called Lots of Dots and it cuts multiple sizes in one pass! Thanks for watching!
@@ardythI haven't tried using acetate, but I will! Thanks for the tip, and for the source of the dots die. No need for thanks, your videos give me, and others, enormous pleasure.
I understand you were disappointed with the coloring of the green card. When you added the shimmer and gold splatter 8:11 it actually gave those metallics some "glow". 8:40 I see it on the right side of the green card. To me it reminds me of stars.🤷
