What about Soldiers who have had secondary duties like Mailroom, TMDE, and Gate Guard. Does that help or hurt them from being a go or no-go? Or is it even relevant to progression? Thanks for the videos Top.
No issue from me. Present self professionally, own the first few minutes, demonstrate doctrinal info and ability to be trusted with America’s sons and daughters
What do you recommend soldiers who has a speech impediment like my self I have a stutter and I don’t want the board members to use that against me I know the nco creed I know my bio it’s just that I stutter naturally how do you think we can over come that
couple notes - if a sponsor says "CSM, board members - the next candidate has a speech impediment" - boom - got it. If the 1SG says "hey battles, this next guy has a stutters" - boom - got it. For the candidate - know that it's not a rush, don't have to do it so fast. If it takes a while, that's okay. Just got to relax, and if you stutter or stammer, you have to have the confidence in yourself to not beat yourself up. Just pause, and continue.
Not sure if you are familiar with AGR interviews, but do you have any tips? Is it similar to a board?

what if the soldier comes in confident and you know he’s confident and nails the creed but fails the book questions but does good on the situational questions, would you still give that soldier a no go still
TBH, I'd have to weight the quality of the answer for the situational questions - as regulatory guidance (book questions) should be the foundation for them, if that makes sense. BUT, getting the creeds, having confidence, and being able to talk may help demonstrate enough potential.
