Refuse to go to NCOES - BAR for a specialist, admin reduction board for NCOs….
Nothing specifically outlines that; however, that’s what I’ve done in past and seen done.

Im going to the promotion board next week and ive failed before because of anxiety. what can i do to stay calm and focus?

Rehearse the first few minutes - out loud until you’ve got it down. Rehearse saying out loud answers to questions.
Be intentional about a short pause (1-2 seconds) before you respond. Take a breath. Begin by addressing the board member and start by rephrasing the question. This can give your mind time to think about the answer.
It’s when your start fumbling in your mind that your words fail you.
It’s ok to not know an answer.
It’s not okay to not know a lot of answers
So study more. And study out loud

You are a first line nco and you notice that one of your soldiers behavior has been changing, they become a little bit more withdrawn, they’re not talking as much as they used too, and they’ve begin to isolate themselves, what actions are you gonna take?

Have a conversation with them - I mean, an actual one, maybe over a meal. Talk to their friends; talk to their peers; have a chaplain check in in them.
Also remember that shit happens, and it doesn’t always mean the worst. But if your intuition or direct knowledge suggests that it may - talk to their family, check in with EBH. Talk to your seniors.
Tons of possible doors to walk through and subsequent ones as well.
