never really cared much for the idea of tuning my car, but after looking into what it actually is i want a tune so bad it’s literally such easy horsepower. looking to pick up catless corsa LTH and the corsa extremes as well as this tune to go with it all! already have a JLT CAI n i’m super excited to see how much snappier the car feels once i put all of this together. great vid man.
I went with a bama sct tuner. I have a 19 gt auto with kooks long tube, custom H pipe and flowmaster outlaws, rouch intake with a tune. The bama tune on downshift is fucking violent as hell and jerks the car around like crazy and I hate it. Really been thinking about lund lately.... and I lovee the data logging part of it too. Bama didn't do data logs.
when datalogging, does it need to be hooked up to a computer with apps for it like the SCT or does it datalog, save file and u can send the file to the email later?
do they switch it to wear you just keep it on D and downshift and you can just do a pull instead of putting it on sport+ , downshifting and then putting it back to D?
The gears hold longer on the tune so yes you could technically do that but I still personally put it into S then switch to D when I’m doing hard pulls.
On a 6 speed you will have to tell whatever tuner you use to tune at certain shift points. The other option is on your tuning device you can choose your own points but it’s more risky on your trans that way !
Great vid I plan on going Lund in the next year or so and if I were you I wouldn’t go 275 in the rear I would go 305 they are so much better I spun a lot with my sticky 275s
@@OhioCarSpotters I have a 2020 performance pack2 Tbh with you my car came from factory 305/35/19. N honestly youre going to spin on 305’s as well just get a radial tire css pilot sports hook but u will spin still
For a 2016 I don’t think you have to have anything for the 93 tune. A CAI is recommended for a better boost of power, but if you ever go on E, one solution is upgrading the manifold to a 2018+ so you don’t need new injectors.
Dom, you only need injectors for E85 using an aftermarket intake manifold. Stock manifold all you need is a tune. If your going to do CAI pmas is the best. N/A always use stock plugs and gap. Only change then for boost or nitrous.
It’s a complicated answer, but keeping it simple, technically yes. However, If something goes wrong with your car that’s not caused directly by the tune they can’t deny warranty!

Great video. How do you change shift points on a 6 speed? Or can you allow a certain gear to rev to a higher rpm?

You can disconnect whenever you want!
Thank you for the response. I have a heads up display that has to be connected to the obd2. Will the tune be working while the device is disconnected?
The tune once you load it onto the car will be there no matter what until you manually remove the tune
