- My 2019 Mustang GT is officially tuned by LUND RACING!
Ive had the tune for about a week and a half now, so i have a pretty solid feeling of what the tune has done to the car, while still remembering what the car was like before the Lund tune.

That down shift never gets old
I run track mode with my Lund tune and biggest difference for me is throttle response. The tune itself added more power and my car runs very happy with it. I also use boostane with a few ounces (5-8) per tank and it really woke up even more! Sent a new data log and my car is adding more timing and just feels alive. Car runs great! I also have the manual and driving it never gets old and boring.

Don't have a tune on my GT yet, but after installing the holley CAI my gt does the same bucking during downshift rev matches. When it was stock it was smooth as butter. I've just been letting the clutch out slower. Which seems to help.

Damn 2nd at 55? Shits brutal af. I usually run a 50 or 55 at 3rd at around 5k in my 10r80. Done 2nd a few times and shit feels soooo violent lol

You can hit 2nd going 60 easy. I would venture to say 65 would be pushing it. Mt82 d4 has long ass gears.

Custom tune from Lund. The CAI doesn’t come with a tune
The extra hp what the tune makes its available on 3200 to 6200 RPM, its it's when the gasoline dissapear, but if u drive in 1500 to 3000 RPM u 5.0 its like a stock1

If it has a sync 3 yes you have a mode switch, if it has a small screen click the traction button twice and the sport mode will activate.
What camera do you use for your POV?
Throttle response can be fix without a tune with pedalmax. More sound is due to open air filter. These are all placebo effects. With tune your timing is improved with quality gas or on e85. Maybe 30 to 31 degree timing on upper rpms. If you want real gains, you need to go fbo or forced induction.
Pedalmax doesn't do anything, it just tells your car to go WOT with less pedal depression but it doesn't make the throttle open faster or more at all.

I went from 87 pump gas to 93 then to 85 and went from a 0-60 in 5.2 seconds to 4.7 and I’m spinning through all of 1st and every once and a while I will spin in 2nd or 3rd a bit which is insane to me

Yes to both. They even have one for special Trims like the 19 bullitt for example

Dude the gears are so long on the 18+ I got 2016 and it revs much quicker to red line. Have you should about putting in a shorter final drive?
Ya they definitely rev out! I haven’t thought about that, I’ll look into it though!
@@coderomes I have heard a lot from people that owned 2015-17 and bought 18+. They think Ford purposefully placed taller gears in +18 to nurf the performance so it doesn't step on the toes of GT350. 15-17 with bolt on will more than keep up with GT350 while still making similar power to the wheels of a stock +18.... Now that the GT350 is no longer in production I wouldn't put past Ford to revert back to old gearing.

Stock to lightly modded cars just aren't going to pick up much at all from a tune. I've seen guys run a baseline of 375-380 HP and add a JLT, Catback and E85 put down 415-420. Is that good or is that bad? We are in a technological timeframe of boost and electricity. When it comes to modding cars, no scenario ends up perfect especially with tunes. Lund is a top tier nationally known tuner. Any issue with something on his tunes and he will fix it. Even going back into the first SCT days around 2003 give or take, a emailed USB update and a quick flash and all is well.
What shifter are you using

My car has diablosport 93 octane, and I felt the gas pedal more responsive, and a few hp gains in the middle range. But I think it’s a lot of risk in the engine for a few hp gains, i”ll going to put my car in stock and enjoy it.
There are 18+ gt’s at 900 whp with just oil pump gears running strong af

No car is gonna explode NA, this isn’t an EcoBoost.
5.0 can handle a decent amount of power lol you don’t need to worry unless you’re making like 700+
I recommend anyone who is interested in lund tunes to watch "alejandro Flores" hes a tuner there that gives info on anything tuning

You got a tune. Which messes with "air and fuel". Your car goes faster so your car is using an unknown amount more of "air and fuel". So when you send it your sending more "air and fuel" hence you gas needle sending itself down. Also something about the mode your driving it in, look into that and post about that and the fuel consumption.
When my 5.0 is in Sport+ mode it will GUZZLE gas, no matter how I drive.....Therese a huge difference from Normal or Sport/Track

@@philipbowers3671 it guzzles gas because it's shift at higher rpms. When it's not in sport it'll shift at lower rpms.

I have a ehipple stage 2 PP1 with long tube headers catted( bc I'm in Md)..Will a tune from Lund help me with not running the car as rich and covering up my 02 sensors?

You should probably have a tune in general since the OE Whipple files leave a lot on the table.
3 thing for making power.
1. Air
2. Fuel.
3. Spark.
You added more air with you cai.
I am assuming that the lund tune added more fuel with the tune they programmed you. Potentially upping your duty cycle of your injectors to compensate for the added air.
You may possibly fill more power if you got a hotter burning rate of spark plugs. This would allow you to ignite your fuel better and faster in the cylinder.
Love the car as I have a 2019 Gt pp1. First brand new car I ever purchased and love it. But I dont think I'm going to add any power mods until the warranty is up except maybe for some exhaust just for a better louder note.

is that what it is? I got a 2020 5.0 gt pp1.. 6 speed manual... says it's rated at 460 horsepower but when I put the pedal down it feels like a kids toy... I mean, it gets up and goes but not like I'd expect a 12 to 1 460 horsepower engine to feel.... but I have only driven it in normal mode cause I didn't really think they made a difference other than how loud the exhaust sounds.
@@grantyentis5507 yeah the 5.0 feels like a V6 considering it’s a V8. I thought it would give you the pin you to your seat effect but it just feels like every past v6 I drove except it’s faster and higher rpm

So normal feels better, all modes feel better, car feels faster? But maybe don’t buy a lund tune? Dude stop hating on them. They are one of the best 2 tuners for mustangs and it’s a huge difference. What more did you want it to do? Go e85 and headers and you will really feel the difference. 90% of people like lund the best because of their 10 speed transmission tuning. It is pretty smooth stock but after the tune it’s insanely smooth and shifts soo much faster again. You also rev out until 7500-7600 vs 6900-7000 like stock.
The modes make no difference in power... It's the linearity of the gas pedal that changes. Stock, normal mode has a very lax throttle response. so it feels like lag... Most tunes make it way more linear, but you will NOT gain more power on Sport or Race modes. btw, nice race red as well!

I added a dreamscience tune to stock s550 gt and it made it worse.
If you feel something it’s a start! Tunes aren’t for massive gains.
I'm thinking of tuning mine just for the better shifts with my 10r80

@@tyarnold4088 the 5.0 feels like a v6 though because of the lack of low end torque. The V8 sound gives it away and of course it’s faster than a v6.

The guy who Tunes for Lund racing has a sideshow TH-cam channel ,and he says it all the time that he's "done with Ford" and he's constantly hating on the 5.0 and 10 speed trans, and just about everything Ford in general, which makes Lund racing look very unprofessional, I wont let someone like that touch my car, how good of a product are you going to get with that attitude? give Palm Beach Dyno a shot...
