well, You are running about 175% so I am sure your students dont fall asleep. I am teaching online for the last 6 months or so, it is all I know so far, working on my TEFL, halfway trhough. Thank You for the information. my students range from 5 - 60. I never know who I am talking to next unless they schedule an appointment in advance. almost 4,000 conversations and about 1/3 of which they students have not turned their cameras on (religious or cultural preference). I dont have any thing planned, I do have a list of ideas and possible website links to share depending upon the student. I will look through your other videos. You are very energetic. Take care.

We are resorting to online classes and even pre-recorded video/audio lessons as my students are 6 to 8 year olds and don't have their own devices yet and have to wait for their parents to get home from work to access the video lessons sent to the parents' phones or mails. Its challenging for us but we are trying our best to keep our students engaged with their books and trying every possible creative way to do that.

Hi. Will, thanks so much for watching and welcome to the Mooncake community! I am actually based in China and have been teaching Chinese students for ten years. All of the activities on my channel work well for students from all over the world, regardless of alphabet and culture. For lower level students (most especially young learners) TPR and chants work really well when introducing new vocabulary and sentences. Repetition is also key, for my lower level students I repeat the same class several times before adding in new language. This gives students enough time to digest, understand, and repeat new words. Another important factor when teaching lower level students is to keep your language as simple as possible. Many teachers will use too much language when trying introduce an activity or give instructions. Try to limit instructions to 3-5 words and repeat them often. @@MooncakeEnglish Hi) I live in Ukraine! I mostly prep for TOEFL and IELTS . Recently was asked if I would teach a 7 year old boy, onilne, of course. Hence, I started looking for info online on how to teach rugrats)) Oh, mamma mia! It's a whole different ball game! Especially if there is not tactile contact, you cannot ground a kid (you know what I mean? help them focus) They cannot move around much, they are stuck in front of a screen... It's hard enough getting a child involved in a game, but close to impossible in my book to get them to focus at their computer. Of course, it takes a great skill and a volcano of energy to accomplish all that! You've most definitely got all of that! It's entertaining to watch your animated face, gestures, and sense of humor even as an adult! Kids must love you! Thank you for making these educational videos for your peers. @@MooncakeEnglish Hi! We are resorting to online classes and even pre-recorded video/audio lessons as my students are 6 to 8 year olds and don't have their own devices yet and have to wait for their parents to get home from work to access the video lessons sent to the parents' phones or mails.
Its challenging for us but we are trying our best to keep our students engaged with their books and trying every possible creative way to do that.

Hi. Will, thanks so much for watching and welcome to the Mooncake community! I am actually based in China and have been teaching Chinese students for ten years. All of the activities on my channel work well for students from all over the world, regardless of alphabet and culture.
For lower level students (most especially young learners) TPR and chants work really well when introducing new vocabulary and sentences. Repetition is also key, for my lower level students I repeat the same class several times before adding in new language. This gives students enough time to digest, understand, and repeat new words. Another important factor when teaching lower level students is to keep your language as simple as possible. Many teachers will use too much language when trying introduce an activity or give instructions. Try to limit instructions to 3-5 words and repeat them often.

@@MooncakeEnglish Hi) I live in Ukraine! I mostly prep for TOEFL and IELTS . Recently was asked if I would teach a 7 year old boy, onilne, of course. Hence, I started looking for info online on how to teach rugrats)) Oh, mamma mia! It's a whole different ball game!
Especially if there is not tactile contact, you cannot ground a kid (you know what I mean? help them focus) They cannot move around much, they are stuck in front of a screen... It's hard enough getting a child involved in a game, but close to impossible in my book to get them to focus at their computer.
Of course, it takes a great skill and a volcano of energy to accomplish all that!
You've most definitely got all of that!
It's entertaining to watch your animated face, gestures, and sense of humor even as an adult! Kids must love you!
