Mooncake English I’ve been teaching online for more than a year now though I recently lost a few Italian students - they’re too broke to go on, sadly. I taught in the business place in Rome for about 20 years and I taught students privately to help them get their Cambridge exams. We became very fond of each other . I got work through word of mouth when I lived there. I’m back in the UK now, not sure how long for and I’m feeling the pinch. I love your whole approach to teaching English and I get so much and learn so much from your videos! Thanks very much. Brava!
@@penithart I have just seen this after I replied to your other comment! 😅 I think a lot of teachers are currently in. the same situation. Everyone is financially feeling that pinch and having to forego the non-essentials. If you have those connections though they will come back to you in the future and you can ask them to give some testimonials to help you find new students. I would look at trying to find students in China as I believe there is a big demand right now. The time difference might be challenging though. I hope you are able to find enough students to keep yourself on. your feet!

Thanks so much for watching Penelope and welcome to the Mooncake community! I’m really glad the video was helpful, have you recently started teaching online?
I hope you are able to find enough students to keep yourself on. your feet!
Excellent tips!! I loved the video, it will be very useful for me. Thank you !! from Dominican Republic

well, You are running about 175% so I am sure your students dont fall asleep. I am teaching online for the last 6 months or so, it is all I know so far, working on my TEFL, halfway trhough. Thank You for the information. my students range from 5 - 60. I never know who I am talking to next unless they schedule an appointment in advance. almost 4,000 conversations and about 1/3 of which they students have not turned their cameras on (religious or cultural preference). I dont have any thing planned, I do have a list of ideas and possible website links to share depending upon the student. I will look through your other videos. You are very energetic. Take care.
