Reduce the real middle class, co-opt the fake middle class, increase racial inequality, increase racist rhetoric by normalizing people like Farage et al and whilst everyone is pointing at each other, pointing at Brexit and Climate change and pointing at anyone but the ruling classes.
They’ve reduced spend on housing, schooling, infrastructure and everything that could help raise the standard of living including reducing vital spending on mental health and support for the most at risk in society.
Whilst we attack each other….monstrosities like Raab and Johnson do the bidding of societies elites.

They really need to get a grip on this "if we had listened to Labour we would have never come out of Lockdown" the easy quick reply back is "if we had had a Labour government we never would have needed to go in to a national lockdown, we would have listened to the scientists and experts and saved thousands of lives, we would have listened to doctors and nurses and protected our NHS, we would have listened to business and workers and protected our economy, what we wouldn't have done is listened to our donors and protected their pockets".
Well on the doorstep perhaps, but this is questions for the prime minister not defend the opposition. I get the urge, but that’s the game Tories try to draw us into. It’s their way of projecting - don’t let them off the hook!
@@biscuit4259 My reply is also an attack it accuses them of killing thousands of citizens of failing to protect the NHS failing to protect the economy. I agree there should be no need to say what Labour would have done differently specifically. If they do demand what we would have done then you say step aside or call a GE and we will show you.
I don't get why people don't (or refuse) see this, the Tories basically found a way to line the pockets of themselves and their mates while thousands were dying. It's way beyond shameful, but of course they have no shame.
Because when a politician resorts to counterfactuals and inversions, like Raab did, it's a neon-lit sign that they've got nothing. Forging on rigidly with your scripted questions, even good, forceful ones like Rayner's, may only succeed in teeing it up for more of the same. She was relying heavily on her notes and Raab ended up relatively unruffled.
The opposition leader needs to recognise and categorise the debating techniques in the moment. If it doesn't come naturally, it has to be taught and role-played over and over again back at HQ - until it does.

How is Angela Rayner not the actual Labour Party leader? She would be much more effective, stong and confident than Keir Starmer. I like Keir but he's too weak unfortunately. Angela actually comes across as electable and willing to fight for change without getting scared.
She burnt her bridges with the left of the party, which would be her natural constituency politically, to curry favour with Starmer. Consequently she'd be very unlikely to win any leadership election as she isn't endorsed by Blairities or Corbynites alike. I would not vote for her, at least Starmer never had a soul to sell in the first place.

Surprised the Speaker didn’t interrupt Raab for using “she” and “her” without using her title first - according to parliamentary usage of language, he has to use her title - whatever it is - first then he can say “she says” further into his rely.

Dennis Skinner called David Cameron “dodgy dave” and was thrown out because he refused to withdraw the comment - he didn’t have to apologise to Cameron, he had to “withdraw the comment” which means he said it, so it gets recorded, but that he withdrew it at the Speakers request. It’s a jargon thing.
If he was directly quoting a constituent he would need to make their name available for records & show any letters etc to a member of the administration to keep him clear.
It is weird, but the formal etiquette of language in the Commons (and the Lords) is stuck in the past and unfortunately it’s in the “constitution” of practice and behaviour for the whole place. Look at the recent fuss about an MP breastfeeding her baby (disguised by a towel) so she could attend an urgent call to the commons - the only excuse for not attending would be if you were stuck in traffic - out of the country etc
Bercow had to fight to allow MPs to go without ties just to stop idiots like Jacob Rees Mogg moaning that female MPs shouldn’t be present unless they wore a tie.
It is a lot of antiquated nonsense, but it would take 100% agreement in the Commons, Lords and Monarchy for it to be changed.

Boris tried to name one MP by the title she gained by marriage (I forget who she is, and neither she of her husband use the titles at all) and he was told off by the Speaker for inappropriate and insulting language and ordered to apologise to the MP in question and to the house - if not he would have (honestly) have been in trouble as with it being a title of “nobility” it gets passed direct to the Queen to decide on a suitable punishment and she can’t just let him off.
Our system is weird, with the language, but it’s tied to the constitution of our democracy.
You can’t jump to “he” or “she” from the start, you have to name the person by their title first.
It’s like PMQs they have to ask Question One at the beginning which is basically a perfunctory request for the PM to say what he is doing that day.

A worker on just £18000 per annum would already be struggling to survive and keep a roof over their heads. So any cut to that income would be disastrous. And raab appears to have got his facts arse about face, the economy has gone down since 2010 and the tories running the country and the economy was booming under Labour before 2008 and the GLOBAL financial crisis. And the economy has never done well under the tories, it was a disaster under the last tory government from 1979 under thatcher and john major. We had high unemployment and more inequality and poverty for yrs under the tories last time around
