This is what TH-cam is all about, thank you for your informative video, tried doing it several times before I watched this, my cord is sitting perfect now. Thank you sir.
Honestly, spent an hour trying to puzzle this out until my dull little brain finally said "TH-cam!" This vid was the first one that came up and voila! Got to tell you that I was trying to turn it clockwise instead of anti-clockwise until you showed me. Amazing that I have the exact same Honda pressure washer. Thanks from Seattle Washington USA.
Thanks, you made this easy for me for a snapped rope! I did this on a Honda GX270. I pushed the cord through the outer hole easily, then offset the holes slightly and used a thin metal rod (hex wrench) to push the cord through the inner hole easily via one of the many louvers. This saved taking the handle off the rope. I also used a match to heat treat the knot to help it stay tied together (I could tell that the manufacturer had done this on the original knot).
I'm not going to lie. I didn't realize the video was 10 minutes long. I was going to exit out and watch a shorter one but kept watching because you started talking. You've got a great voice!
Excellent video, repair shop wanted 50 quid off me to replace cord tried to tell me the spring was damaged as well, watched your video bought a cord for a fiver and jobs done working perfect, cheers.
Spinaclean Ltd. it did!! Fixed it today, thank you so much. I actually was able to use a lighter on frayed end to avoid removing the handle like you did BUT your video still taught me because I had no idea how to replace/fix the rope. I used same one minus the bit left inside near the break. Thanks again & take care😃
UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
@@skyVacuk hey mate ive got a jet usa 4800 psi pull broke same as yours i need help trying to fix it. Ive called the edison company who makes it and they never got back to me would be able to help me out Thanks Max
Hello, thank you for your comment. Underneath the black assembly there is spring with a hook, here should allow you to re-attach the cord to the spring. If this doesn't help, please just give us a call on 01604 968700 we'll be happy to talk you through it if it's one of our machines 🙂
I got the housing off and realised I don’t know what the heck I’m doing. Went to TH-cam to find someone who does (naturally a fellow Brit 🤔😅). Jokes aside, thanks mate, you really bailed me out.
As long as you have the tension stopped with the screwdriver or such, you could take a small piece of wire and make a small hook on the end of it, push from outer hole through inner hole, hook through the nylon cord, then just draw the wire out with your cord hooked. No nothing with trying to aim the cord through 2 holes. 😉
Nothing worse than attempting to Power wash and you Pull the cord and BAM, the handle comes off and the string breaks. Hopefully I can replace my cord as easy if the warranty doesnt cover it. Love the British
Helped a young lass in the USA fix her pressure washer!! You're a life saver!! 😁
That's so great to hear!

Great video... about to give it a try. Wish me luck.
That's great! You could also use a lighter to firm the end of the rope, and shape it in to a needle so you can fit it easily through both holes.
Thanks a lot m8 can't believe how easy was to fix after watching this. 👍

Thanks. Good video!
Im sorry I watched this some years ago and I’ve been trying to find this video just so I can show people how to say “anti clockwise” 😂
Thanks
Nice Mate
I love hearing a Brittish accent...
Or, you could use the same wire hook method, from the inner hole out and not even bother with taking your cord off the handle.
Easy peasy.
Nothing worse than attempting to Power wash and you Pull the cord and BAM, the handle comes off and the string breaks. Hopefully I can replace my cord as easy if the warranty doesnt cover it. Love the British
This guy’s accent made me work 10% better
