Thank you Jeff, your vid helped me to tell my spring had broken along with my rope. Was able to tell the spring was shot when I turned counter clockwise and no tension. When I took it apart, could see the piece of the spring that hooks around the center post, broke an inch or so. By watching you vid, I was able to see the direction the hook had to be in the center. Used Linemans's pliers to make the hook and got it back together the first time around.

@@JeffsLittleEngineService it's a Craftsman w/a 6 HP B&S engine. Runs like a top now. I bought it around 2003. Just bought a new plug for it as a treat and replaced the cracked and ratty looking orginal fuel line with some vacuum hose and 2 black zip ties.

Two you tubers sayings I like. "Do it twice to make it right" or " I do it wrong so you can do it right." I enjoy your videos . Thanks Jeff.

I'm so sorry, but when that spring let go, it made me laugh. Thanks for the entertainment and great job getting it back together

Nice job Jeff: That is one of my most hated job in my shop. Rewinding springs is a real pain, and you made it look pretty easy. Thanks

Once you put the cap back into the handle, I knew you were on the way to success with no extra parts. Good clear vid with a L'IL touch of humorous sarcasm. Good job Jeff. J K

Hello! I would like your consultation. How good is the Cub cadet Lt1 lawnmower? Is the engine trustworthy, and is it even worth it to buy the lawnmower?

I’m trying to rewind a spring in an old Honda HRA214 starter, what a monumental PITA. New ones are big $ (not like the gcv160 starters) so I can’t just buy a new one. Particularly nasty starter!

What size rope did you use? Was this 5mm cord?

Jeff I have a question about a no spark situation on a Kohler Command 14hp motor. I realize this is a simple magneto system. I have cleaned all grounds, grounding surfaces. I've checked continuity. This mower (930000) has a Deadman switch a PTO switch, and ignition and neutral switches. Which ones besides the ignition switch might keep the engine from starting? I've replaced the coil with an inexpensive unit off Amazon. I air gapped it with clean magnet heads at .010. The engine is getting fuel. The last time I ran it a week ago, when I shut it down the engine popped lightly and ran-on for just a very brief instant. Hasn't started since. Is there any huge difference in coil quality between oem and these aftermarket units? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Jeff, I went outside and contemplated my next move. I then set the throttle to wide open and gave it a couple good pulls and it fired up! It was most likely flooded.
