    UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Also a wash towel is more sufficient because mine burped out so hard it shot oil across my garage with that that little paper towel along with it rofl. So be prepared guys! It's usually not that easy on the gx390.
    What happens is the oil acts as a sealant on the valves, and the decompression valve doesn't work as it should. When you try and start the engine the compression rips the pull start out of your hand.
    To clean the valve seats, pull the spark plug, and spray carb cleaner into the hole (4-5 seconds) then pull the cord 10 times or so to blow all the cleaner and oil residue out of cylinder.
    Do this after you have already blown the oil out.
    Your decompression should feel better now. A little start fluid and a series if pulls should fire off.

    My Karcher/Tecumseh pressure washer started after six monts storage on the first pull. New spark plug, fuel and three pushes on the primer bulb. Then I stopped the machine after ten minutes of use but it would not start after ten minutes.
    Could this be due to the ignition coil heating up?
    Will try tomorrow morning on cold engine. Thanks

    im looking for why mine just stopped working. Honda 13HP 3600 psi was working fine, then as i was spraying, it just shut off really fast and hard !! It has oil and wasnt tipped over. It wont even let me pull the rope out. It didnt die slow like when it runs out of fuel, it just died and stopped in a matter of 1 second. It went from running full throttle to NOTHING like the flip of a switch.

    I had just purchased the HondaGC190 PowerBoss powerwasher. Assembled it yesterday then didn't try to pull the rope because I figured there was no oil in the crankcase since it was new. So this morning after buying oil (calls for 10w 30 went to fill the oil and there was already oil in the machine. So I hooked it up turned on the water and the pull rope would not turn engine over. I pulled the spark Plug out it had been started at one time there was some carbon on the plug. I checked the air cleaner it was clean ( no oil as signs that Fed Ex may have tipped it over during shipping. I did also squeeze the trigger in case there was pressure no pressure still will not turn over when pulling the rope. Now what should I try?

    • @BEPowerEquipment
      @BEPowerEquipment  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a few things. You need to make sure the oil is topped off to avoid triggering a low oil shutdown sensor. Also make sure it has fresh fuel and the throttle is at maximum. If you are still having problems then call our tech support line at 1-866-850-6662.

    Chris, Thanks much. Question. I cleared the pressure as instructed, replaced the air filter and checked the gas for oil. With plug out, the cord pulls easily. With plug in, cord is still frozen. Removed plug three more times, pulling cord for about 5 minutes each time. No oil is coming out of the plug port. As soon as the plug is in, the cord is frozen.

      Sometimes the oil is hard to see coming out. If you put a clean paper towel over the spark plug port and pull you need to check if any oil gets onto the paper towel. It could be coming out as mist. We have had some tip overs that has taken half an hour of pulling to clear out.

      Hello Anand. The Troy-bilt engine is a different brand, but looks like an OHV engine as well, and will have the same principles. If you can't pull the recoil with spark plug in, you need to remove the spark plug and clear all the oil out of the cylinder as described in the video.

    I have a Troy Built pressure washer that has a Honda GVC 190 with easy start that is impossible to pull cord "EASY anymore with less than 20 hours use. • @BEPowerEquipment
      @BEPowerEquipment  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Thomas
      If you are unable to pull the recoil it is likely one of the issues described in the video.
      1. Pressure trapped in the pump (squeeze trigger, and keep held down when pulling recoil)
      2. Tipped over and oil got into the spark plug cylinder. (pull out spark plug, if the recoil can be pulled you know this is the issue. Clear problem by following steps in the video)
      If the above doesn’t work, it is possible that either the engine or pump has failed.
      In this event you may want to take it to a service center.

    • @patdthomas
      @patdthomas 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Most likely it's pressure in the pump that needs to be released. I learned that lesson the hard way very early on when the recoil rope snapped back so fast it almost tore my arm off. Just pull the trigger after turning the machine off to release the pressure and you will see a huge difference when it's time to restart it.

      @@BEPowerEquipment I'm looking for answers and it's none of the prescriptions that you had to get it running. My quick connects won't even let me disconnect the hose if I don't have the pressure released on the handle and with the spark plug out still can't pull but will slowly with lots of effort turn at the recoil starter when I don't have the pull cord attached. I know what the manual says for winter storage to have the Piston all the way up and the valves closed and checking the notch to do that I'm about to pull the flywheel and see if this shear pin / key is still whole. In have a gx 200 honda pressure washer and sometimes it shuts off on me while its running. Than I have a hard time getting it started again. I change the spark plug coil n clean up the carburetor. Whats the cause of it shutting off on me

    • @BEPowerEquipment
      @BEPowerEquipment  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Antonio
      A GX200 HONDA engine has a low oil shut off sensor. If the oil is remotely low the sensor will interrupt the current to the spark plug. Check the oil level.
      Make sure the air filter is clean and dry.
      Make sure the choke is closed position for the start and warm up period. Once the engine can freely run, ensure the choke is in the open position.
      Check the muffler. Is the spark arrestor clean and allowing a good flow of exhaust. If the spark arrestor is carbonized it will restrict the flow of exhaust and can choke the engine out. Clean the spark arrestor.
      Clean quality fuel. The engine has two filter elements. One in the tank and one from the feed line to the carburetor. If sediment has been caught by the filter elements this will restrict the flow of fuel to the carburetor and thus starve the engine. Clean the entire fuel system.
      If none of the for mentioned service related items corrects the engines performance you can test the following:
      Unscrew the fuel cap. Leave the fuel cap in the fuel tank. Run the engine. If the engine performance improves you have determined that the fuel cap is defective and HONDA will replace. The defect will be the gasket in the fuel tank cap and a vacuum is occurring as the cap is not aspirating as it is designed to. Unlikely the cause as HONDA has addressed this issue some time ago.

    • @BEPowerEquipment
      @BEPowerEquipment  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Stevie. If I am hearing you right, I believe you are saying that the oil in the engine has gasoline overflowing out of it. If that is the case then it is very likely one of the following;
      1. Choke was left on, or half on, while running
      2. Carb float bowl is stuck (could have been contamination in the fuel). This can be fixed by cleaning it out, or possibly replacing if needed.
      Once the source of the problem is fixed, you will need to drain the engine oil to get all the fuel out of it. Replace the oil with fresh 10w30, run for a few minutes and change oil again (to get all the gasoline out of it).
      Please do remember, when not in use, always have the fuel valve in the off position.
