- Catching up with Doug during harvest. It’s been back-and-forth between soy beans and corn because of rain.
He spends a lot of harvest in this corn shack. I thought I’d go see what he was up to.

Dougo cracks me up. "It's like taking a truck in for an overhaul instead of and oil change"! That is classic. Great video!
Momma Amy, we sure appreciate you and what your presence brings to the Larson family dynamic. God bless you.
Thank you, this means a lot.
Thanks Amy and Dougo you guys are so funny we love you both keep sharing
We will!
Amy, Very cool video! My hubby and I left farming in 1993, after 20 years of farming. His parents wanted to rent their farms to sugar beet growers for more cash rent. We took jobs off the farm & it worked great for our family.👍 The technology now is so much more advanced than it was in 1993! I ❤ Larson Farms and your channel! It was good to hear Randy "talk". 😉 So glad the fellows from Finland had a cgance to learn about farming from Larson Farms! God Bless you ALL! 🙏❤️ P.S. I think the Big Black Pete is the Groviest truck ever! beep, beep.
The Pete.
Love the sticker. 😊
Amy I will say Randy was more talkative in your video then he is in Larson Farms video. I know he kind of stays in the back ground of the Larson Farms videos. But I know Randy and Dougo run the business. Now that Grandpa Merlin stepped down. He still does things like running to town for parts and such. Farming has come a long way from all those years ago it's baffling that the grain elevators are all mechanically run at farms such as Larsons. I've paid attention to the Larson Farms videos. It's a nice little shack to get out of the different weather elements in Minnesota that's for sure. With the tornatic winds that took its toll on the He Shack I know they built up another level as well over the top. But NO THANK YOU to walking up those stairs to check on things when things need fixing. But nice Dougo has a place to feel at home in while working. That's A LOT of knowledge to learn when updating your grain elevators to the newest technology. I give Dougo credit to. Be willing to learn different things from when He and Randy started out farming. It would be very intimidating. Another GREAT video with You and Dougo. HAPPY HARVESTING🤗
Great video! I love your interaction on and away from the farming activities. It takes everyone to make an operation such as yours to be successful. Great job!
Dougo when you know you know. On the origeinal barber shops .miss them too
Hi Amy. Good to see you. How interesting that farm people came from Finland. I enjoy your upbeat experience. God bless you all.
Thanks Amy and Dougo for sharing your thoughts. I enjoy your knowledge. You all stay safe!!
Thank you 😊
You guys are so genuine..family farms rule...12 kids in our family grew up farming retired now living in the family home...still working on farm ...love to listen to you guys keep it growing...
I always enjoy seeing the 2 of you. You guys must have a fabulous marriage!!
You two are such pups. Don't change anything.
Thank you.
Today's video felt like a friendly chat with neighbors.
That’s good to know. Thank you.
@@amysblessingsyou guys are a wonderful family and have good crew that fits in the wild mix 🤣. I miss farming with my grandpa, dad and siblings. But kinda how life goes for some. Still thankful to have family farm in Kellogg in family. But unfortunately we rent the land out. Keep up the hard work 🙂
Thanks for the video watching from Reno NV
Good job Amy
My uncle was a barber in a small farming town of under 1,000 people in Wisconsin. He retired in the 1990s and was able to sell the shop. The guy who bought it didn't keep regular hours and closed the shop about 3 years after he bought it. The local technical college had a barber program in the 1970s. I used to go there to get my hair cut. In 1975 they had their first female barber student. The next year there was only one male student in the program. Now it became a cosmetology program.
Hmm. Interesting. And thank you for the history.
Thanks for another great video Amy and Dougo. It was interesting.
How interesting these gentlemen from Finland stopped to visit and see how Larsons Farm. Think it was real interesting for them. Glad they stopped to see you.
Amy, how nice you visited the He-Shack with Dougo doing his thing. Really is the nerve center for the bin operation at harvest time. Controls a lot of equipment and Dougo monitors from the shack. Neat to have a place like that to get out of the weather. Nerve center so to speak. Amy thanks for talking about the old days before the shop was built. I find history interesting. Nice to see Randy also. Thanks for the visit Amy and talking about the old days.
Thanks for everything Amy. Appreciate it.
The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
Your welcome 👍
Amy reminds me of my mom. Beautiful woman.
God bless everyone
Love dougo videos!!!!!!!!
My grandfather was a barber and my cousin is a barber. I used to cut my husband and my hair as well. Enjoyed it. It seems that the internet is making it possible for us to learn about the people in other countries as well as how they do things. Very interesting. Have a good harvest.
I have several barbers in my small town. Five minutes is $20 dollars. Many people waiting for a haircut so you can imagine how much it pays.
I love you guys lmao. 👌🏼😂
Amy is so neat that Doug and Randy aren't phases by cameras being around. Also awesome that the guys could share there insight on farming with another country. Last had to chuckle when you said your dads name was Pete mine was too. We were called sometimes Pete's repeats. Hopefully harvest has been uneventful so far.
Hey great job on raising chet you did a great job
My grandfather was a barber in Korea as well as a pilot and infantry.. when he was done with that he started a small farm while driving a semi for a living . Then retired and started riding rodeo and holding events here on the grounds.. He went to angola ny 1 day and bought a whole barber shop just so he could cut anyone's hair .. he found happiness in it . Anyway thanks for the video . We all relate life someway or anyother 👍 🙏
Doug and Randy look like: mens regular at the local barber shop men. Skimped back for speed in harvest time.
Great video Amy !
You two are a Awesome couple and Amazing people. Keep up the great Video's love watching your channel !!!!😊
Yep barbers are hard to find. My husband has been cutting hair for 45 years. He will be 65 this month, and will be getting his first SS check next month. His customers have been begging him for the last year to keep working, so he will be cutting back to part time. So sad to see that people don't want to get into being a barber, there is good money to be made. Hey the world needs ditch diggers two, lol, if you know you know. XOXO
I love ❤️ seeing you in your son’s videos and your videos you always look so beautifully in them
Outstanding and thank you
Good show
Awesome video Amy. 🫶🫶🫶
Dougo is hilarious everything he said about barber shops is💯correct
My dad took me to a barber up the road from our house that also ran the country store attached and paid.25 cents for my hair cut and when I walked out I had white walls !!!🤣🤣As Dougo says those that know well they know
Y’all two make a Great Couple your love for each other shows! ❤🙏🏼🙏🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
We need to pray for this nation and Israel in these troubling times 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Full face respirator Dougo😊. Much ❤Larson family
Fun fact i worked for Agco formally Hesston corp inventors of the the hay swather Hesston Kansas. We sold the quite a few swathers because they cut the grain and let it dry before running through the combine.
Our family was a Hesston dealer in ND. Sold a lot of Hesston equipment.
Dougo I too miss the old barber shop when they had the hot lather machine and strapped the straight razor and shaved around your ears and the back of your neck trimmed your beard and mustache and eye brows those were the good ol'days
That's awesome have a great harvest be safe
Awesome video!
Yeh Douglas, get some highlights for your eyebrows ! Lol ! Cracks me up.
Barber Shops are getting harder to find, I now drive about 20 miles to the Barber.
Amy, as the Mom you have the power to nicely “persuade “
Chet and or The Big Swede to do a live stream while combining corn so us less fortunate can watch the corn head eat corn at a high rate of speed. Its fascinating to watch it all. I have left nice request to no avail hahaha. 😁😁👀
thanks Amy
awesome video ms amy
Hi Amy and Doug i live in finland too. Just wanted to say hi to you. :)
Well done Amy.
Loved it. Thank Amy
Good video Amy!
Amy you guys are awesome. Your husband cracks me up love the channel keep them coming
Thank you! Will do!
Doug O, I miss the barber 💈 shop as well
Zwarte Piet (Black Pete) is the companion of St Nick in Netherlands. Good name for your truck...🙂
Good morning Larson’s
Big difference between America and Finland. I'm from Sweden and am fascinated by how parts of your country are divided into sections with straight lines and BIG fields 🤩. A big difference is the few road signs. Do you have any way other than road signs at intersections to find the right way?
Remember when Laura from Laura farms visited Germany. Thought the roads were small and how compact our implements could be for transport 😂
Last time the roof blow off 😮 that's how long it's been dougo since I've seen you in that shack
That was a mess!
Barber shops are almost extinct everywhere. Out here in Cheyenne, WY, there is one barber shop that specializes in men, but they do all kinds of fu fu with guys with beards, etc. They change $28 for a haircut and that is if you get the senior discount. They do give an excellent haircut.
Dougo is so funny.
I'm just happy I have hair to cut so I don't mind going wherever and spending whatever. Like they say, "When its gone it's gone " 😂
True!
Loved this! My mum used to operate our dryer/wet bin/dry bins. Was probably 1/20th the size and complexity, but I miss the sound of it running…#homesick
I think the corn warming is my favorite smell. Almost like popcorn. Your mum = rockstar
Looks like COMAND CENTRAL 😮
So you Finn-ished the video !!
Lol. That’s a good one!
Amy you are absolutely adorable
Great job on your goggles Dougo, gotta protect those peepers!
Hey duggo that is the same thing you do on your equipment it's maintenance that is why it takes so long
Here in Central Indiana I get beautyfide for $8 and I give $2 for his retirement fund. Busy all the time. Most of us have our own bowl hanging on the wall. 😂😅
Your own bowl. Love it!
If you get a chance to go to Finland Larson family do it I got to go three years and it was very awesome the farming is pretty cool.
I noticed the grass was looking really green and thick at the end of the video, we need to see the rest of it, because that looked nice. Amy, you and Doug are such a good match, and Randy actually talked for a second. We need some brother stories of them, i think it would be interesting. I cut my own hair, and i have never used die, and at nearly 53, I'm not grey, must have got that from my granny, she never really went grey even right before she passed at 89. Doug should just let you cut his hair, it always looked good before. You seem to be getting better at not being quite so shy, and Doug seems a lot more at ease as well. I appreciate your video's, and G-d bless.
Thank you.
Amy from the top rope with the mask comments. Love it
Saying it without saying it.
He Shack with plenty of he snacks.
And you use it year round, for loading the bins and unloading.
Are there ever gonna be some pictures/video of Chets wedding. Hope Toby was in it as ring bearer
Well, a memory we have from some church friends. Marg was expecting. Her husband said that they liked the name Pete. Then someone said that they might be having twins. My comment was, "Well, make it Pete and "repeat". 😂
Lol
Luke Simon and Wild William are my Barber 💈 in Dickinson there great
Awesome!
Is that were dug go dumped Beans in the CORN bin 😮
I agree Dougo haven't had an actual barber around here in 15 yrs. Now gotta schedule a week ahead. Can't just walk in anymore.
Doug likes the walk-in option as well. It’s rare he is in town and when he is it’s a nice option. A nearby South Dakota town has a barber or two maybe. I will send him west next time.
Dougo all the old school barber shops r getting scarce not many around anymore
Dugo expanded this " Girth" his favorite word lol
best thing about barbers is it is cash
Barbers are a thing of the past here too!
dougo looks like he came outta a ww1 fighter plane! ... i betcha he woulda been a double ace!
Amy, where's the peanuts in the shell. Lolol
I agree with you dougo ive related to get missus to cut my hair an beard because alot cheaper 😂
Dougo's den discussion...
Plus they charge to much for a haircut. Yes $20 dollars for a 5 minute hair cut. That is how long you are in the chair.
Please do a run down on all the workers. I'm still confused about Big Sweed
Big Sweed is a long time close friend of Chet's.
How does Dougo see through that dirty window? 🤓
Good question
you guys are the best I wish I could be your neighbor and could come over and help you at work and barbeque and go to church together and study together dose that sound like a fun time yes we all love you guys together god bless
Driver's like peanuts 🥜🥜🥜🥜🥜🥜
Amy why didn't you get all this info on your video? That would be awesome 👌
"Do you allow farm visitors to your farm ' ???
I went from Big Time farming, 40,000 acres in one pasture, to 20 acres in Fl. It's a bit boring
Dougo your punching above your weight mate, can't win
Funny I didn't think Larson practice. I think they just do it. Could have turned into the "love shack" if Randy didn't show up.
Lol.
Amy should start a podcast "Amy's She Shack Podcast!"
Amy there's more money in Dougos shack then you can ever get in your shack.
I give my cutter lady $30 bucks cause she's easy on the eyes.
Oh my. 😃
So Amy do you cut Dougs hair?
Usually.
Hey me would you ask your ask your husband where he got his headphones at I've been looking for a pair haven't found anything at all
Dougo you can make more money cutting hair.
