This whole story feel closely tied to spiritual warfare to me. He was taking a backseat in his life while the car was on fire, until he cried out to be saved. Meanwhile, like some kind of demons, the bishops make a poor imitation of Light, entice people to their deaths, use them to further their message, and control more people's minds. But no matter how many times he gets captured, Tyler can't be killed, and therefore he can't be controlled, he has a True Fire that keeps leading him to escape and spread his message.

I agree so much with this!! All I can see is spiritual when I listen to the music and Dema Story.
I think one of the connections missing in this excellent review is that the lyrics/theme of the song could also play out with the neds. Ned was originally an embodiment of Tyler's creativity that grew stronger (bigger antlers) in Chlorine. The Outside has a running theme of wondering if these other younger musicians stole his style and/or are overtaking him in some way musically. I believe that the other neds are the embodiment of these other artists' creativity. He can hang with them, and sip what they're sipping, but ultimately his Ned is different, on the outside, more evolved. This is why the other neds have smaller antlers. They haven't created and fought enough yet to control their own bishops/demons. Just a thought more about the song than the lore.
remember lead also now doubles as a paper maker -- whatever that translates to in lore... and that lil do they know they can't touch him out in the street

I found a lot of similarities with "Kitchen Sink". Especially the lines

No one else is dealing with your demons
Meaning maybe defeating them could be the beginning of your meaning, friend"
Defeating your demons (the bishops) with creativity (Ned).
I love how relaxed and happy Tyler/Clancy looked in that moment with the Neds before he got up to continue the fight.
I think that Keons was killed after he went rogue and sunk the ship that was carrying/transporting everyone in the Saturday music video. Keons and Trash's eyes were both glowing but after Keons was killed, Trash's eyes faded. Seeing as there were nine Neds I don't see why that wouldn't be a connection to the nine bishops, so perhaps there is a Ned for each of the bishops. Regardless, this Ned gave Tyler the ability to fight back against his demons through using Keons as a *vessel*. I'm not sure what connection or link there is between the Neds and the bishops but it's clear that the Neds have the power to control the bishops in some way and the bishops will stop at nothing to prevent the Neds from using this power, even going as far as killing any creativity within the minds of the DEMA inhabitants (vialism). Scaled and Icy seems to be furthering the narrative through line all the way back to Vessel (Voldsoy is translated to 'violent island'; using Keons as a vessel; Migraine in The Outside music video) and this makes me think that the next album will be the end of the Trench storyline whether it be after the Banditos successfully destroy DEMA and the bishops or the events leading up to DEMA's demise.
Keons never went rogue.
Keons just decided to sacrifice himself by letting the other bishops kill him while he was controlling trash so that trash would die aswell

@@GarnachoEmpire712 I've actually taken that into consideration and I think that there is a scenario on which Keons goes rogue, and that relates heavily to A Car, A Torch, A Death. This song has been THE song that so many people believe connects to, if not directly inspires the DEMA storyline. The car is represented in the Heavydirtysoul video, the torch was represented by the Banditos but has recently been represented by the Torchbearer (Josh), and the death has recently been represented by Keons in The Outside music video. While many people believe the song A Car, A Torch, A Death to be from the perspective of Tyler, I believe that it could actually be from the perspective of Keons and relates to the events in Heavydirtysoul, The Outside, and the actions of the Torchbearer. In the Heavydirtysoul music video, we see a hooded figure that I believe most people agree is a bishop, but there isn't an agreement on which bishop it is. People have stated that this is Nico but I think this is Keons. For one, the origins of Keons' name comes from Heavydirtysoul (choKE ON Smoke). Secondly, if Nico was driving Tyler, why would he leave him with the Bandito jacket? Lastly, if we are viewing A Car, A Torch, A Death through the eyes of Keons, then the lines "As I start the car and then I begin to add the miles piled up behind me", and "And I begin to envy the headlights driving south, I want to crack the door so I can just fall out" makes sense as it would be Keons driving the car who feels envy of the cars driving away from his destination (which happens in the HDS video) because he is betraying the bishops as I'll explain later, before he drops Tyler off besides Josh and 'falls out of'/destroys the car. Regardless, Keons ends up driving the car to The Torchbearer and the Trench trilogy happens (Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners, and Levitate) where we don't see much of Keons. It is worth noting that Keons in A Car, A Torch, A Death describes a "demon" with a "makeshift torch" which would make sense for that to be Josh as the makeshift torch bit is obvious, but Keons is apprehensive towards Josh as he wears colors that are undetectable by the bishops, giving Josh an aura of danger about him. This is the part where we get into the Saturday and The Outside music videos, and this section of the bridge of A Car, A Torch, A Death explains everything, " And then I felt chills in my bones, the breath I saw was not my own, I knew my skin that wrapped my frame, wasn't made to play this game, and then I saw him torch in hand, he laid it out what he had planned, and then I said I'll take the grave, please just send them all my way". This describes Keons meeting with the Torchbearer laying out the plan for Keons to betray the bishops, a betrayal he would ultimately pay for with his life, before asking the Torchbearer to send the Banditos his way; send the Banditos to DEMA to finish the job.
@@athanasiospapadopoulos6582 I certainly don’t think keons is team banditos he may have fell out with the bishops (although I still believe it was just a sacrifice) but I certainly wouldnt imagine keons being an ally of the banditos as he as a bishop represents death, anxiety and guilt (heavy dirty soul themes) and I’m fairly sure the banditos aren’t fans of death and anxiety. Alternatively, the bishops may have chose to kill keons as he was the dema citizens “favourite” bishop (Clancy letters describe keons as the kindest) as keons represents death the dema citizens may consider him kind as they consider death as an option out of suffering (vialism) so keons isn’t good but he appears nice to manipulate people to commit to vialism hence the dema citizens like keons. However, the dema citizens may have started to turn against keons due to the banditos and Tyler and josh making trench an album that criticises vialism and glorified living life if this album made its way to some dema citizens they may have stopped listening to keons and realised keons was trying to trick them making keons method ineffective this could lead to the bishops deciding to kill bishop to send a message to dema as keons was no longer useful this may mean that dema will be more violent in there methods with less kind bishops taking keons place and instead of gently encouraging dema citizens to commit to vialism bullying and harassing them into it instead.
@@GarnachoEmpire712 I think I agree with you that keons doesn’t seem like he would join the banditos, but I think from a plot perspective, it would be really cool.
With that being said, I think we can decide which perspective is most likely true by asked “why would keons betray the bishops.” If we can get a good reason why, then maybe he would betray them, but if there is not a good reason, then he probably didn’t. I was thinking, “in what way can the things he represents (death, anxiety, guilt) be used in Tyler’s favor? How could those concepts be hijacked for Tyler’s good?” One theory I had was that Keon’s rebellion is symbolic of realizing that rational anxiety and guilt can be beneficial, as it plays into your moral compass. Realizing you could die for something of greater value than yourself or any of the values the bishops support could be a big thing. If Keons represents death, and he dies for the banditos, I think that would make sense, because it could show how Tyler has hijacked the idea of death from suicide to sacrificing his life for a greater purpose.
If there is not sufficient enough of a reason for keons to betray the bishops, though, then yeah, you are probably right. I personally feel like the speculation is the most fun part. Maybe this plot line is best left open-ended so that we can have our own ending that we are satisfied with and that works for us.
In the outside I think the lyrics are more about Dema then we realize. "I'm already bored, I'm pretty sure I've seen this one before" and going into "Up and down" could be a reference to the cycle of going in and out of Dema. When he asks "Or am I on the outside?" is a referencing a feeling he could already be out of Dema. When he is controlling the Bishop lyrics include "I'm on the outside" saying I made it out, I just needed to get out of my head and realize I am out. "Little did they know that they can't touch me," saying the bishops don't realize they don't have power over him anymore.
Also! "I begin to assemble what weapons I can find (ned's horns)
'Cause sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind (Tyler crushing the neon light in the video, the bishop dying, the fire in DEMA we can say that he is killing something in his mind!!)
The Outside music video have SO MUCH links with Migraine lyrics!!!

Tyler & Clancy are the same person. But yes, Tyler/Clancys bishop is Nico but he killed Keons
When did we learn that Clancy and Tyler are the same person? Up until recently it seemed to be most people thought they were different

I am of the belief that the ninth Ned with the big antlers controlled keons also the early trench letters said keons was always nicer so I think creativity (Ned) can control bishops so Ned controlled neons a bit during this whole time to save Tyler and show him how to save himself idk
So it makes sense to say that Ned realised that Tyler was now strong enough to gain control of Keons, thats why he gave him the horns and disappeared

I feel like everything in the current sai lore is relating back to vessel metaphorically and literally. Especially with the migraine reference and how you also pointed out the use of the antlers to control a bishop or persons vessel :) I am really excited to see what the next album or new projects will involve.

Late song professor, haha. I was very much waiting for you to weigh in, so I'm glad it's here! I wondered about Keons having a soft spot too.. but maybe that was just a revenge attack on Trash for sinking their sub? Like, he mindlinked to Trash and sacrificed himself so Trash would die too?
I'm also wondering if Trash somehow = Josh. The movie poster for the cinematic experience has Clancy inside Tyler's head and Trash inside Josh's head. I think that might be significant (and could also help explain the Choker music video). If Trash is somehow an alter ego or extension of Josh, maybe that's why Trash shows up to save Tyler?
The someone else that Josh is referring to is Josh when he was taken control of by a bishop in the Choker music video. In the song formidable it goes" I won't break your heart if you can break my spell", so Tyler saved Josh from the bishop that was controlling Josh in the Choker music video.

I have another point of understanding about the part with the lamp breaking. For me, the lamp that goes off but doesn't break means, that one of the "issues that the bishops represent" gets weaker. It's still there but it doesn't light upon Tylor, thus is weakened and possibly it's the next to be completely broken.

If the people on the submarine were controlled by the bishops, I think that Tyler, and Josh were almost controlled by the bishops, and that's why Trash rescued them, and why he was killed by the bishops in the Outside music video. He did that because Trash cares about them, and because Tyler tried to rescue Trash in the Choker music video because he knew that Trash would help him save Clancy, Jenna, and Rosie.
What if the elder Ned is representative of “My “”Chemical”” Romance”, which I believe were signed with Bowling for Soup, like TOP was at one point. I don’t really really follow MCR but I certainly haven’t hear anything from them in a while. I believe they also did the lore thing too. Maybe they discovered how to defeat the bishops in the industry, which may require you to disappear in the end (maybe to Mexico), never to create music again. Tylor has mention they had to go “underground” for a while and kind of “redecorate” who they were as a band before they were discovered by big name labels. Maybe that was orchestrated by my MCR to pick up their mantle they would be leaving behind. They were found out by the other bishops and killed, and now Neco is coming after Tylor. Just a few MCR song title as a reminder, “Ghost of you (Never coming home), “Mama, we’re all gonna die”, Black Parade, etc. black parade has a lot of parallels like going into the city to see dead people play in a “March”ing band, or being the savor of the beaten and “broken” people
Side note, this Outside has a lot of parallels to “March to the sea”. Walking in line behind a stranger and actually falling lol. And then actually being put back in his place in a March to the sea, like becoming Keons

I think Clancy is just the opposite side of the bishop coin. A character that exists in dema as a protagonist to fight the bishops (his negative thoughts). And is essentially the opposite side of the bishop coin inside his own mind. Think back to the poster with a person standing on top of Tyler's head when the SAI era started. That mysterious person standing on his head was Clancy. I think the whole narrative is simply a tool Tyler uses to take a step back and analyze his own mental health/mind.
Also yes, keons was trying to help Tyler and josh. From Clancy notes we know that Keons is the nicest among the Bishops that's why they killed him
I agree when you say that you think its the second last video. Like they're now planning to go back to the Dema to fight the Bishops now that Tyler has found some power of his own. It brings my thoughts back to the song No changes, where I think that the chants where actually the Banditos, not the Bishops. So what im guessing is that No Chances will be the last video wheres Tyler and the Banditos are going into Dema, taking out the Bishops and saving everyone. They are coming for everyone and they aren't taking any chances to leave them behind.
I like your idea, but I disagree with you that no chances is sung by the banditos. In the livestream/concert (I’ve been to both so I forget which one it is) no chances is sung by the bishops on screen.
I think the next video will be the banditos confronting the bishops though!!

A: I did not know it was such a violent island (place with bishops and lights is a theoretical island in his mind)
B: Full of TIDAL WAVES(waves in video)
C: SUICIDAL CRAZED LIONS( when he puts on horns, he transports to a theoretical "island" full of the bishops(lions) trying to kill tyler (represented by bishop that dies)
D: "Their trying to eat me-I know I can fight or let the lions(bishops) win," he puts on horns and starts waging war in his mind (via bishop revolting and destroying lights)
E: I begin to assemble what weapons I can find(aka he begins his revolt)
F: "but sometimes to stay alive you've gotta kill your mind" (he disconnects his mind after revolting, thus giving up on the struggle for now, maybe it was to much that they defeated him... for now)

I think the light that was taken out was not Nicos, maily because though out this story Tyler's main threat has been Nico. Even though he has gained some power I don't think its enough to take Nico out one time. So he took out a different Bishop, wich helps to weaken Nicos grip and also gives him more strength to push on.

The colour from Tyler's hair washed out for the video too. So maybe that's like the new black neck hands control. Controlling his thoughts, instead of his hands and voice
He is impersonating the dragon in a ritual. The other bishops stab the dragon in the ritual. The horns make the ritual have a real inter-dimentional effect.

The big insurrection is in No chances. The part that goes "WE COME FOR YOU, NO CHANCES" Is a response to the cries of the people in Redecorate when they cy out in Choker "I know it's over I was born a choker nobody's coming for me" at firs it was only Tyler that went out to save Clancy, his wife, and his daughter " I see no volunteers to cosign on my fears I'll sign on the line alone." No chances comes after Bounce Man, so I think that when he was giving messages to the people in redecorate that he was ready to go whenever they were, and found out where those people were, and that they were still alive he sent a message back to the banditos, and that's when we hear their war cry to go, and rescue them.

If Keons is dead though why are all the Bishops present in Paladin Strait? Does that mean they and our insecurities never really die?
Keons betrays the bishops by saving Tyler and Josh by controlling Trash from Saturday MV so Keon got stabbed by other members of bishops.
Just my assumption.

Following off your “ready to start a big insurrection” comment, I really wouldn’t be surprised if we see a “Never Take It” music video to wrap up the SAI storyline involving the banditos still in Dema before the next album-that song is just ripe for it!

The lights that were smashed represent the lives of the bishops. The lights going out means that they died, so two of the bishops are now dead.

I like their music better when I just interpret it through my own lenses, tbh. All this lore seems kind of forced.
I've watched it I can't believe anybody else is not noticed it but it is nothing less than a drug-fueled trip to Disneyland starting from Saturday actually take that back starting from shy away the ear Puffs in his hair Mickey mouse your puss and it's like he's at autopia choker doesn't count because it wasn't Tyler Saturday is the submarine ride where they go down and it's actually the millennium falcon cockpit in the front and they get hit by the dragon which is actually the fantastic dragon and there's a lot more than one dragon that's what people aren't noticing there's a bunch of different dragons each Bishop is going to be a dragon the one that died this time was the fantastic dragon it's a drug deal trip to Disneyland I'm telling you they were on Tom Sawyer's Island maybe they call it something different but it's what it is the glowing light in the back at the end is Galaxy's edge that's their final destination
