hey deltia i just wanted to say a few things: animation canceling is a game changer for night blades once they get siphoning strikes and its morphs. these trigger of light and heavy attacks, so you are constantly regenerating resources. combine that with elemental drain (+magicka when attacking with fire, ice, and lightening) + crushing shock (this procs for all 3 attacks!) + siphoning attacks and this is how you get nearly unlimited resources. leeching strikes is also good for melee characters. the dps from animation cancelling wipes out the loss from siphoning. you can also use block to clip attacks. i do this on my low level characters, especially sword-and-board, to increase not only DPS but the amount of time you are blocking. it is a significant advantage and works well. lastly, you can block to cancel out of the attack animation so the workflow is like this: light attack -> skill -> block which dramatically decreases the time to reset animations. if you want, you can even do light attack -> skill -> block -> bash.
So does this mean you should add a block at the end of every ability, as well as the light attack at the start to get the highest DPS? (Sorry to bring up an old post, just got into ESO)

You can also weave in heavy attacks... or more like medium attacks (not fully-charged heavy attacks) when you manage to hold the button for auto attack longer and time it right. If you add block to cancel heavy animation it'd be even faster. Depending on the enemy, spec and rotation you can get 800 to even 1200 sustained single-target DPS.

Joey Culas Like I said - medium attacks are simply not fully-charged heavy attacks. How to pull a singular med attacks requires a bit of testing and practice (see how long it takes to click LMB to execute an attack), but most of the 'heavy attacks' during weaving are actually 'medium ones'.
Yes it takes a while to get the rhythm down but it's so awesome when you get it. I like weaving on my mele. Light attack, unstable flame, light attack, lava whip. FTC is essential for practicing spell weaving because you can see the damage is being done even though the animation didn't go off. Also it's good to not rely on any visual or audio ques just focus on the timing of the attacks, because in trials you'll often be stacked up with the group and won't be able to see or hear your character actions.

Deltia's Gaming yes i do, sometimes i also incorporate a bash if im close enough. Light attack, unstable flame, shield bash. I'm a tank so that shield bash does more damage than usual. Lol people freak out when you do it to them in pvp.

I see it being done and it looks amazing, especially when people use it with the mephala helmet and it procs the webs. How do I weave a heavy attack to go off right after a wrecking blow? Can someone help me out please?
wrecking blow>light attack>execution......just hit wrecking blow and as soon as it starts start spamming light attack and execute...the light attack will allow the execute to slide in quickly after the wrecking blow,...ambush>light>cloak>wreck>light>execute is what your seeing when a nightblade powers you down....most of they time they also roll after ambush while pressing cloak...spin camera...wrecking blow>light>execute...if the persone does not die, just add another light>execute...
I am new and I have been using xeloxi technique of med-abil-bash-repeat it seems to be working better that light weaving as a stam DK what are your thoughts? I use you guides exclusively so I want the deltia seal of approval just for confirmation. Also is your burning butcher guide for DK still viable? Been playing a month and almost at min max with my first toon using your build so thanks for everything! I did switch skoria with neir'neth two piece as they nerfed skoria. Have a great holiday!

hey maybe some one can clear it up for me, I understand the concept of animation canceling. Have done it myself in many games. But most of the time you would use a light or heavy attack to cancel the animation of the the ability being used. But here it seems like you're canceling the animation for the light attack with an ability.....

I'm a dota player, and I really enjoy this kind of mechanic. I think it bring a lot of complexity and room for improvement in the game. It really require skill and that's what I look for in a game I plan to spend a lot of time in.

It takes time, I've spent 15 years PvPing so always moving is natural. Just don't get frustrated and give yourself time.
