As much as the 300-6cyl's reputation speaks for itself, I have to admit.....your spare Cummins crossed my mind.
I envy your shop and tools. I'm grateful for what God has given me, but I miss a garage. I turned 61 several weeks back, and I'm still struggling finding parts/resolving problems fixing that old Dodge truck I told you about some time ago.

Alot of times its like pulling teeth to get her in the shop but I love it when she hangs out with me.
So at this point I've had the head redone and it was warped so I think it may have leaked some coolant into the cylinder causing a hydro lock situation cranking the cylinder.
I thought about the cummins also but for what I want this for, a cummins would be a waste. I also feel keeping it as original as possible if possible is cool too.
I worked in a 1 stall garage before i moved here and I'm very grateful for everything.

Yes has 4 vent I missing 1 . try all tractor bone yards no one has any with in 75 miles.
Broken rings from it sitting with coolant in the cylinder walls
I didn't video the full teardown but there were no broken rings.

👍👍... that's too bad bout the 300...but... yeah, suppose a 6BT would make the most sense..unless u wanted to b unique and swap in an IH of some sort...DT360/408/466...or one of the older ones...361/407/..414/436??... Idk...do what makes sense man👍
