Our LG WASHER is fairly new and we started to get this error code. After trying just about everything, I unplugged the machine, waited a few minutes, and plugged it back in again. All was well. This code has popped up on other occasions and the unplugging procedure. Has fixed it each time. For whatever it’s worth
If the issue persists, it might be worth checking the pressure of the water pipe to ensure it's adequate. Since your LG washer is fairly new, and if the problem continues, contacting the seller or manufacturer for further assistance could be beneficial, especially while under warranty. It's possible that there could be an issue with the sensor or a similar component. If your washer is under warranty, they can check and address any potential issues. Hope this helps!

@@tahirimran-hz9up Cold water can sometimes contribute to the IE error if the water pressure is too low or if the inlet valve is partially blocked. Make sure the cold water supply is fully open, and check the inlet filter for any clogs.
You're very welcome! I'm glad it worked and you were able to fix your washer! Those filters can definitely cause trouble when clogged up. Happy washing! 💪🛠️
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you sooooooooo much!!!!! We had just had work done in the house with the water line and thought that it was going to be the reason why the washer wasn’t filling. It was the filters on the hose. New pipes were installed and there was sediment . I let the water run out into a buckets just to make sure the water was clean. You saved me a trip to the laundry mat with soggy clothes (the washer had partially filled before it stopped). Once again, thank you so much! May God bless you

You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear that the information helped resolve your washing machine issue. It's always great to know that these tips are making a difference for families like yours. 😊
It's important to handle the removal process with caution, especially if you're using a screwdriver like demonstrated in the video. When it comes to tapping the sink, it's done carefully to ensure even pressure on the entire filter. 😂On the other hand, using a screwdriver only targets a small portion of the filter, so it's crucial to exercise care while removing it.😊
My IE error was caused by the pressure sensor pipe becoming detached from the pressure sensor. A quick two minute fix, removing the top cover and re-attaching the pipe, which is push fit. Thanks for the video.

In addition to cleaning the filter, check the hose for any kinks or obstructions, as these can reduce water pressure. Clean the tap filter as well if needed. It seems like there might be an issue with the water filling process in your washing machine. Here are some steps to try and diagnose the problem: Check the Water Inlet: Ensure that the water inlet valves, hoses, and filters are clean and not clogged. Sometimes, a clog in the inlet can prevent proper water flow. Water Pressure: Make sure you have adequate water pressure in your home. Low water pressure can lead to problems with water filling in the machine. Water Level Sensor: The problem might be related to the water level sensor or pressure switch. It could be malfunctioning, and this is why the machine isn't detecting the water level correctly. Timer and Control Board: If the timer isn't working, it can cause the machine to keep filling with water. Similarly, a problem with the control board might lead to erratic water filling. If you're not comfortable with checking these things yourself, it's best to call a professional appliance repair service. They can diagnose and fix the issue for you.
Thank you for the informative video. I have tried all the steps mentioned, the water pressure is high, the filter is clean, the pipes aren't twisted, the machine is also fairly new. The washing machine fills quite a bit of water when I start a program, but then aftrr some minutes the IE error appears. Any idea what might be wrong?
In this case, it's possible that there's an issue with the water sensor in your washing machine, especially if it's fairly new. I would recommend reaching out to the seller or the manufacturer, especially if your washing machine is still under warranty. They may be able to provide further assistance or arrange for a repair if necessary.
Thanks for sharing this video my lg washing machine stop at spin step I follow your steps but the problem stay with trouble code IE I heard sound of short circuit at the spin stage Thanks bro
If you've followed all the steps and the water pressure is okay, but the problem persists with the IE error code and you heard a short circuit sound at the spin stage, it's possible that there's an issue with the sensor. In this case, try turning off the washing machine from the socket for about 10 minutes, then repeat all the steps from the video and try again. If the code continues to appear, it might be best to contact LG or a local service provider, as it could indeed be a sensor problem. Hope this helps resolve the issue!
You're welcome! 😊 I'm happy it helped. If the filter is still difficult to remove, you can try using a flathead screwdriver with a wider tip for better grip, or two sharp objects for extra leverage. Gently wiggle the filter while applying steady pressure, and check for any debris or residue around the edges that could be causing it to stick. Let me know if this works or if you'd like more tips!
If you've tried all the steps and the IE error still appears, it could be due to a water pressure issue or even a faulty inlet valve. Try not using any valves connected to other appliances while the washing machine is running to ensure maximum water pressure. Also, check for any kinks in the inlet hose. If the problem continues, it’s possible the pressure sensor could be faulty. In that case, reaching out to a technician would be the best option.
My lg washer which is very new has been giving me this message. Every time I try the "normal" wash program, it doesn't even fill with water, its as though water is draining out as its getting in the tub. Eventually the 1E message appears. I haven't been able to use the "normal" setting at all because of this. The "quick wash" setting was working but now its giving the same error message. What could be the problem as i don't believe it's a clogged up filter issue given the new status. Its less than a week old. What am I doing wrong?
First, check the hose connection and the filter to ensure there are no obstructions. Sometimes, new machines come with stickers to prevent them from getting damaged during shipping. If these are removed, make sure the hose isn't bent or kinked, and that there's a proper water supply. Also, check the water pressure in your home. It's advisable not to use other taps while the washing machine is in use, as this could affect the water pressure. If the pressure drops when other faucets are turned on, it might lead to errors in the washing machine. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's best to contact LG customer support or the retailer you purchased it from, especially since it's still under warranty. They can offer further assistance or arrange for a technician to inspect and repair the machine.
Wanted to give an update here for those who might be in the same boat. The installation of the drainage pipe was the reason my washer was behaving as described above. Once the drainage pipe was raised, water stopped draining non-stop. 🙏
Hi, its the second time my washer does this my husband moved it to clean the outside and back of the washer. He then conected everything back, the hose and water are runnung but at the beginning it shows IE the thing is these 2 times all I do is turn off the washer and turn it back on and water starts to come out just like that. Do you know if there is somethung else I need to check.? 😊
Your washer might be dealing with a temporary water flow issue that gets resolved when you reset it by turning it off and on. The IE error usually points to a problem with the water inlet. Make sure the water hoses aren't kinked and that the inlet filters are clean. Also, check the water pressure, especially if you’re using other taps simultaneously, as that can cause a drop in pressure. If the issue keeps happening, it could be a sensor problem.
I have the same issue and my washer is brand new. Very frustrating. Calleed LG service to attend to the problem. My washer fills up water but still gets the error code. In one isntance the watter started pouring out if the tub. I suspect might be a sensor faulty.
I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with your brand new washer. It does sound like there might be a faulty sensor causing the issue. Since you've already contacted LG service, they should be able to diagnose and resolve the problem for you. Hopefully, they can fix it quickly so you can get back to using your washer without any issues.
Sometimes low water pressure can cause this problem. If the pressure was low and the error appeared, it might resolve itself once the pressure returns to normal. Start by cleaning the filters and hoses, as well as any filters on the pipes. Then, check if the error persists. Additionally, ensure that the water pressure in the pipe is sufficient. This maintenance might help resolve the issue.
It sounds like there could be a clog or issue with the detergent drawer or the water supply. Try checking the detergent drawer for any blockages and make sure the water supply is working properly. If the issue continues, it could be a problem with the inlet valve or sensor, which may require professional attention.
To further troubleshoot and correct this issue, you may want to check for any clogs or blockages in the water inlet hoses, ensure proper water pressure, and inspect the water inlet filters. If the problem persists, consulting the washing machine's manual or contacting LG customer support for assistance might be beneficial. Hope this helps you resolve the IE error!
The LG washing machine typically uses a cold water inlet, but if you already have a hot water supply connected, you can use it to save energy, as the washer won't need to heat the water. Just keep in mind that this may limit your ability to use cold wash programs.
In my machine water goes into the machine with full speed but then after few seconds my machine show this iE code and another problem is that buttons of wash spin dry don't work what to to do I don't know
It sounds like there might be multiple issues with your machine. For the IE error, even if water flows quickly, it could indicate a blockage in the inlet filter or hoses-double-check for any debris. Regarding the unresponsive buttons, it might be due to a control board issue, a malfunctioning touchpad, or even a sensor fault. Try unplugging the machine for a few minutes to reset it and then test it again. If the problem persists, unfortunately, you might need to contact a technician for further assistance. Hope this helps!"
Mine gives this error when the machine lisd is upto 6 water level it can be upto 9.less than 6 its fine what could be the problem i have done everything
It sounds like there might be an issue with the water level sensor or the water inlet valve in your washing machine. If it's fine at lower levels but gives an error when higher, it could be that the machine isn’t detecting the water level correctly. You may want to check the inlet valve for blockages or consider having the sensor checked by a technician. Hopefully, that helps!
You're welcome! It’s a good idea to call a technician, especially if the issue persists. Hopefully, they'll be able to resolve it for you. Best of luck! 👍
My LG washer gives this code. I have replaced the inlet valve 3 times. Filters are clean and brand new obviously plenty of pressure. When the fill cycle first starts it lets in plenty of water, 10 seconds in it must shut the valve substantially because it just turns to a trickle and then eventually times out giving the IE code.
One possibility is a problem with the water level sensor or pressure switch. This component is responsible for detecting the water level in the washer and signaling when to stop the fill cycle. If it's malfunctioning, it could be prematurely signaling the washer to stop filling, leading to the IE error code. Additionally, there may be a blockage or restriction in the water supply line or inlet hose that's affecting water flow. Even though you've replaced the inlet valve and cleaned the filters, it's worth double-checking for any obstructions that could be impeding water flow. If you're comfortable doing so, you may want to inspect the water level sensor and pressure switch for any signs of damage or malfunction. If necessary, you can consult the washer's service manual for guidance on testing and troubleshooting these components. If the issue persists despite your efforts, it may be best to contact a professional appliance repair technician for further diagnosis and repair. They'll have the expertise and tools needed to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem and recommend the appropriate solution. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the IE error code on your LG washer!
If the IE error persists despite the machine filling up properly, it might be due to a faulty water inlet valve or an issue with the water level sensor. You could try unplugging the machine for a few minutes to reset it. If that doesn't work, it might be time to contact LG support or a technician for further assistance. Hope you get it resolved soon! 😊
My washing machine has the i e problem from me brought.it it has that problem when the tech. Come he.said that the water pressur is low i fix the water pressur give it a stronger pressur and it is the same ie preblem i just brought it a few months ago and every time when i wash.it raises my blood pressur is the same ie problem
Here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try: Check the water inlet valves for any obstructions or damage. Inspect the water hoses for any kinks, cracks, or leaks. Ensure that the water inlet connections are properly tightened. Reset the washing machine to its factory settings. If it still appears, then perhaps you should return the washer to have it replaced with a new one if it is still under warranty. This will ensure that you have a functioning washing machine that is free of any defects
If you've followed the steps in the video and the IE error code still appears, it might indicate a problem within the inner workings of the washing machine. It could be a clog or a malfunctioning water sensor. If you haven't opened up a washing machine before, it might be best to seek assistance from a professional laundry service. They can provide a more in-depth inspection and help resolve the problem. If you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to ask.
You're absolutely right! The IE error can sometimes be due to an electronic issue, like a faulty water level sensor. If the sensor isn’t reading the water level correctly, it could trigger the error even if the water pressure is fine.
For the error code CL on the LG DC90V5V0W washing machine, you may find assistance in this video: th-cam.com/video/T5MwcQE_UmQ/w-d-xo.html Link to Video. It provides guidance on how to address the issue.
In addition to cleaning the filters, make sure to check if the hoses are not kinked or damaged. Also, ensure that the water inlet valve has proper pressure. Hope this helps!
If you've tried everything and IE still pops up, you can also try running the machine without the filter to see if that helps. Make sure the water pressure is adequate, as using multiple water sources simultaneously can lower the pressure. If everything seems fine and the IE error still appears, the water level sensor might be broken.
My washer is damn brand new and it gets this error on the very first day water pressure is at maximum even my pipes get burst but this bitch still wont take water in😂
Sometimes, manufacturers place protective stickers on new appliances to prevent any damage or scratches during shipping and handling. These stickers should indeed be removed before using the washing machine. It's a common oversight, and it's worth checking if there are any such stickers or protective covers left on any parts of the machine. Hopefully, this simple step will resolve the issue and your new washing machine will work perfectly!
@@EverydayThings it was already tested by the technician on the delivery day and no problems, we even washed a lot but the following day we just did exactly how the tech did it yesterday but then water won't get in IE error. the hose are perfectly straight, water pressure ok
@@denpamori2076 Since you've already checked the hoses and water pressure, may be isgood to get in touch with the seller or the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They should be able to help you diagnose and resolve the issue or provide a replacement if necessary. Good luck!
Are you using a universal aquastop antiflooding hose on the inlet valve? If so don't use them on LG washing machines the inlet pulls the water in quickly and at force and abruptly stops this can trigger the valve in the aquastop giving the error
I understand your perspective, but having a filter in your washing machine can help prevent any potential issues caused by impurities in the water. While it's true that water is generally clean, there can still be instances where contaminants or scale buildup may occur in the pipes or water supply. The filter serves as a protective measure to ensure that these impurities don't affect the performance of your washing machine or cause any damage. It's a simple and effective solution to maintain the longevity and efficiency of your appliance.
The IE error on LG washing machines typically indicates a water inlet issue. It might be caused by a blocked or kinked water hose, low water pressure, or a clogged inlet filter. Have you tried checking these? Let me know if you need further assistance!

If you’ve followed all the steps carefully and the issue persists, there could be other problems, such as a broken sensor or low water pressure. Sometimes, using multiple appliances at once can drop the water pressure further and cause this error.

I'm sorry to hear about the IE error on your 5-month-old LG washing machine. In some cases, it could be related to the water quality. If there's too much lime in the water, it can cause issues. Additionally, check if the washing machine hose is not badly bent, as this could impede proper water flow.

I have this error, but my mahine is filling with water and doesnt stop nor does the timer works, tthe water fills until it shows error.
It seems like there might be an issue with the water filling process in your washing machine. Here are some steps to try and diagnose the problem:
Check the Water Inlet: Ensure that the water inlet valves, hoses, and filters are clean and not clogged.

@@juneawambui I'm glad to hear you resolved the issue! Thanks for sharing the solution; it could help others with similar problems.
Thanks!

Thank you it worked
I'm glad to hear that it worked for you!😊
Hi, its the second time my washer does this my husband moved it to clean the outside and back of the washer.
@@EverydayThings thank you so much for your time explaining this. Very helpful! 😊
@@ruthespinoza1474 You're very welcome! I'm glad I could help. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! 😊
Hopefully, they can fix it quickly so you can get back to using your washer without any issues.
after 12years my LG is saying IE error but it is wetting the clothes, so not sure if its the sensor. Are repair ok with direct drive models?
Sometimes low water pressure can cause this problem. If the pressure was low and the error appeared, it might resolve itself once the pressure returns to normal. Start by cleaning the filters and hoses, as well as any filters on the pipes. Then, check if the error persists. Additionally, ensure that the water pressure in the pipe is sufficient. This maintenance might help resolve the issue.
My washing machine is not using the detergent can you say what's the problem
It sounds like there could be a clog or issue with the detergent drawer or the water supply. Try checking the detergent drawer for any blockages and make sure the water supply is working properly. If the issue continues, it could be a problem with the inlet valve or sensor, which may require professional attention.
Input water valve also clean but IE ERROR shown. How to correct
Thankyou
You're welcome! 😊😊
Hot water or cold water inlet?
The LG washing machine typically uses a cold water inlet, but if you already have a hot water supply connected, you can use it to save energy, as the washer won't need to heat the water. Just keep in mind that this may limit your ability to use cold wash programs.
It works , thx
Great to hear that it worked for you! You're welcome😊😊
@EverydayThings oh thanku very much
Mine gives this error when the machine lisd is upto 6 water level it can be upto 9.less than 6 its fine what could be the problem i have done everything
@@EverydayThings I have gotten it checked but I call a technician again.thanks for the response
Mine is clean and still gives me the error, blew every hose inside, the machine fills up ok but still gives the error =\
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀 I'm glad you found the video excellent.😊
My washing machine has the i e problem from me brought.it it has that problem when the tech. Come he.said that the water pressur is low i fix the water pressur give it a stronger pressur and it is the same ie preblem i just brought it a few months ago and every time when i wash.it raises my blood pressur is the same ie problem
Here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check the water inlet valves for any obstructions or damage.
I did but still not working ..
Stay away from LG washing machines. Endless problems 0:04 . Everyday IE errors even tho water preasure is high.
I believe it's an electronic issue
You're absolutely right! The IE error can sometimes be due to an electronic issue, like a faulty water level sensor. If the sensor isn’t reading the water level correctly, it could trigger the error even if the water pressure is fine.

I cleaned my filters and it is still just spinning without going through the cycles.
In addition to cleaning the filters, make sure to check if the hoses are not kinked or damaged. Also, ensure that the water inlet valve has proper pressure. Hope this helps!
I did all of that and IE still pops out
If you've tried everything and IE still pops up, you can also try running the machine without the filter to see if that helps. Make sure the water pressure is adequate, as using multiple water sources simultaneously can lower the pressure. If everything seems fine and the IE error still appears, the water level sensor might be broken.
My washer is damn brand new and it gets this error on the very first day water pressure is at maximum even my pipes get burst but this bitch still wont take water in😂
Hi were you able to fix this?

Lowe Fork
Could you clarify what you mean by "Lowe Fork"? I'll do my best to assist you!
I don't want to use the filter...too much work. Never needed one since my water is clean.
Why do you think the filter is there in the first place? You can't see all the impurities in the water. Not heard of limescale build up? 🤦♀️
LG IE Error
The IE error on LG washing machines typically indicates a water inlet issue. It might be caused by a blocked or kinked water hose, low water pressure, or a clogged inlet filter. Have you tried checking these? Let me know if you need further assistance!
I hate I bought this lg crap. But it sings a pretty tune though.
Sorry to hear it's been frustrating! At least the tune adds a little cheer, right? 😅 Hope the fix helped, and feel free to reach out if you need any more tips!
lol no help
If you’ve followed all the steps carefully and the issue persists, there could be other problems, such as a broken sensor or low water pressure. Sometimes, using multiple appliances at once can drop the water pressure further and cause this error.

My 5 month old LG washing machine came up with this message 😑
I'm sorry to hear about the IE error on your 5-month-old LG washing machine. In some cases, it could be related to the water quality. If there's too much lime in the water, it can cause issues. Additionally, check if the washing machine hose is not badly bent, as this could impede proper water flow.
