In case anyone is still wondering how to put videos on this POS player, I figured out how yesterday. Convert the videos to avi files with the XviD video codec at 220x176 with a 25fps frame rate, and mp3 audio at whatever bitrate you want. I did mine at 128kbit, as I only intend to listen to this with cheap ear-buds. Then move the converted video files to the Eclipse in a folder named "Video".

My friend had the same Eclipse Mp3 player he got for used for only $10 from a thrift store. It just stopped working, and even though I opened it up and tested the voltage points with my my multimeter, the flash memory CPU was fried. I had a Craig 4 GB Mp3 player like 6 years ago, and on a cold dry day, I had it in my right pocket at work listening to it, walked close to the conveyor that takes the empty boxes to a bailer outside the warehouse, felt a static discharge shock me through my pocket the Mp3 player was in, and right after that happened, it stopped working completely. The major drawback of any Mp3 player with an aluminium, or metal housing, is that one static zap will fry it, because the PCB inside is not insulated at all, and will fry the chip. Never buy one of these, or any Mp3 player like that in the metal housing, unless you want to throw away money. I lost $40 from my Craig busting, and my friend lost only $10. Either way, it's not worth it. Yeah, they sound great, but I hope nobody else that owns one of these suffers the same loss as my friend and myself did.

I had this model for 5 years, when it finally died on me, I thought it would be fun to smash it with a hammer it took 15+ hits to finally damage it substantially i got a new one to replace it, it lasted almost a year and then shattered I was very disappointed with the second one and I'm looking for this old model again, does anyone know this model's number?
Mine doesn't look like this (my Eclipse), but where did you get "the song" you dragged up to the top?? I can't even figure out how to get to the right menu, when I do, it's by accident. As for actually putting on a song -- UGH. I have spotify, can I load songs from there? I have the Fit Clip Plus and I did this drag and drop method, as well as using Windows Media Player, and it will not let me select which album I want to play.

If I copy my playlists from my desktop hard drive to the eclipse mp3 players will it then keep those lists grouped together and let me select them? I tried copying my playlists to my cell and it scrambled them into albums and also A-Z list but destroyed my playlist groups.
My computer deleted the important files on my Eclipse MP3, so it's no longer working. Do you know if there's any way, like a website or something, that I could get those files back? There not music files, there the files that make the dam thing work.
I need a piece of information. I read that this mp3 player is expandable up to an additional 16gb. I bought an 8 GB microSD and could only record up to 3.8 GB on the SD. Any idea of why it will not record the entire 8GB. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.
