Thanks for the video! HELPFUL TIP: I purchased a few myself. I could not get my Windows 10 PC to read the device when I plugged the MP3 player in directly. I got my mini/micro SD card (32G is what I bought but Im sure you could get a smaller size), plugged it into a SD card reader (a card reader with USB connection), plugged that in to my PC (via the USB connection), formatted my card , and loaded music files directly from my PC to the SD card via the SD card reader (check to make sure it's a reader/writer). When I took that out and loaded the micro SD into the MP3 Player, everything worked great.
I got that mp3 on an ebay auction for £0.01. they gave me one with the navigation button that fell off but it still worked. used it for a year and it is a great value for money, but I stopped using it simply because bringing a mini usb cable is a hassle when I have a micro usb cable lying everywhere for quick plug
Pamela, I think you have no idea what you are talking about. The newer Micro-USB receptacles are designed for up to 10,000 cycles of insertion and removal between the receptacle and plug, compared to 1,500 for the standard USB and 5,000 for the Mini-USB receptacle.

How do you charge the cheap one. How do you know its charged fully? Does the red light go off or doe it change color when its fully charged. Is it suppose to be on or off mode while you charge it?
You should probably get a better one. A good cheap one is the AGPTEK A20. It's got 8gigs, can store videos, podcasts, ebooks, listen to radio, and play music. It's really lightweight and it comes in a bunch of colors. You can get them on Amazon from $20-30. You will definitely want a decent pair of earphones or headphones along with it as the earbuds that come with the player are complete trash.

Had the LCD display type does anyone know the voltage or amprage of replacement battery. It the device lasted 5 times but I may have overcharged which left the battery broken. I would like to upgrade battery which is 1x1 inches.
These devices usually uses 3.7v li-ion battery. You can use any li-ion battery or 18650 battery. You can even use bigger capacity batteries but you need a separate charging circuit
I bought 3 of them, similar kind, including the one chosen as the best in this video. None of them work, they come with no guide or manual, so I just copy some mp3 right to micro sd card. Could never play anything at all. The only thing I hear is a strong static noise for all of them. Not sure if there is a specific way to copy the mp3s (in a folder? formatted as fat32? I tried a few sd cards, could never get any music out of any of them. I would say keep your money. I bought them after watching this vid, and I regret it.
Ok, replying to myself here.. just to update, this was a classical case of RTFM - these support only up to 8GB cards. I created a 7.5GB partition on my 16GB key, and now it works. Sound is still pretty bad, lot of static... but ok, I guess for the price that will do for now. Maybe I ll open them up and fire the solder iron to see if anything can be improved.
Well my comment explains it.. not sure if you tried this and it failed or if you dont know how to try.. please detail your query. In essence - either use a card that is 8GB or smaller; or, if you don t have one, you can use windows to create a partition that uses only about 7,5GB.(from computer management, disk manager then remove the existing partition (this will erase the card), then create a new one but smaller than 8GB.)
