i did have it hanging slightly below the bumper as a test. It scooped a bunch of air but because the crankcase vent was still connected to the intake, it just pressurized everything and pushed the dipstick out a bit. if you had it hard piped from maf sensor to TB then it would probably work great, along with at least a 2 bar map sensor since 1 bar only goes to atmospheric pressure.
How does it sound with the pipes? Have you tried adding a velocity stack to the inlet of the pipe?
