Also, launching this closer to the holidays would secure them a lot more sales than if they were to release early in the year, especially since there won't be any other consoles releasing around that time.
The switch 2 will have specs that are between the range of a PS4 and PS4 pro.. 2026 is when Microsoft intends to drop the next Xbox. Nintendo will be 2 generations of power behind once again. It's still amazing to get this kind of fidelity on a mobile device but its going to push developers away and were going to see something similar to what we have now on the current console; half-baked games that look no where near as good as their counterparts
There is no way it’s releasing late 2025, Nintendo will not have a repeat of the Wii where the appeal has entirely died down (it’s already started). Summer 2025 at the latest, unless some crazy world event happens.

Idk if there was even a change in timeline. Outside of a rumored internal delay earlier this year, there is no indication that Nintendo made changes to its Switch successor timeline. They’ll reveal when they’re ready to.

A March release is completely possible with a December production run. If tooling and components are ready and the prototyping is finished, why would there be a problem with a 4 month production run?
They're gonna give Switch 1 more Holiday and reveal the Switch 2 in January for a May release. That makes the most business sense Stop the Doom and gloom already
I think the hype has gone off now so I'm looking at next year instead of October. It would be a tight timeline to release before summer after a January reveal so I don't know if that would work out well or not so much. I hope they are going to do well, give us something to get us thinking. I hope they don't keep us wondering too much.

It's been 8 years almost.....that's long enough. That said Nintendo doesn't owe us anything we haven't paid for..... So if they keep dragging their feet....I'll just use an emulator....and play on PC all My in Nintendo games. I've bought 3 switches....own over 125 games.... On steam I own 500 plus..... Upgrade cycles for PC is a known regular pace. Yearly for cpus and motherboards and every 2 to 3 years for gpus.....etc.... Nintendo needs a legit console cadence. I'm fine with 5 to 8 years. Past that is pure laziness... Imho

We haven't seen or heard anything on the switch 2 yet from Nintendo themselves only leaks and rumors from so called Nintendo leakers and insiders And time ⏲ is running out for a switch 2 reveal this month. I heard this on TH-cam that PH Brazil said that more remasters from third-party partners games are coming to the current switch consoles for 2025. Nintendo third-party partners could be keeping the current switch consoles alive while Nintendo is focused on the switch 2 console.
Even if they still keep the current Nintendo Switch, I still want to at least see a new Mario Kart. It would be a shame if the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t come out for a year and there’s still nothing big to hold me over on the current switch. I’m bored of it lol

If we're being honest, the Switch successor should've released last year, early this year at the latest. The 3rd party support has been at practically zero for the past two years, and, to be completely honest, first party stuff have been getting weaker and weaker. I don't understand why they're taking so much time.
To be fair they are getting Yakuza now and a Remake of Trails in the Sky (exclusive, from Falcom which where Sony fangirls)and other stuff. Probably it would have been better sales wise if they launched earlier, also the hardware won't get better with time, it will feel dated a little bit again, but well, Nintendogames on PS4+ hardware will be nice next year too. In the end they need exciting games for that thing, that is the most important. Swich sold because of BotW, Mario, Xenoblade, Mario Kart 8 Remaster...
Personally i don't care at this moment (i waited so long it just doesn't matter anymore), i have so many consoles, a PC, and i still enjoy the Switch too. Also they need to have interesting games for the first year of Switch 2, it wouldn't realy excite me if they released early 2025 and had no interesting games. If they release it with eg. Xenoblade 4 at the end of 2025 i am happy. (not going to happen, but i guess i made my point) Also i can live with remasters for Switch, but only if the Namco ones include Xenosaga.

The hardware dosent matter if there is no good games, bought my switch oled 2 weeks ago and there is way more good games then on my ps5 right now, my ps5 collecting dust right now, have more then 30 different game to play on my switch.
Perhaps they have a Zelda. Tears of the Kingdom used the same world and was 6 years in development, they could have started something different and worked on it simulatenous. Thats what i would have done. Same for Xenoblade 3. I wouldn't even be that shocked if they had Xeno 4 for end of 2025. Xenoblade 2 was a real fast surprise too (2,5 years of development with 44 people of Monolithsoft, rest was outside work from other companies).

In the end specs won't matter that much anyway, if games look good on it. I mean its mobile hardware, its no PS5 and it yes it will be a little bit dated. but it has DLSS and a good Nvidia chip, 1500 cudacores and 12gb ram, it will be a massive jump from Switch, much bigger than Wii U to Switch. Nintendo will have PS4+ like hardware with more ram that is more modern, with stronger CPU too, Nintendo games will really shine on that thing if they use it well enough. DLSS is a big thing too for a console.

They must have games ready for the first year of Switch 2. Also we don't know when it releases, nintendo can do what they want and people are just speculating. Nintendo could announce it in January (then the holiday sales for Switch 1 are over) and release it in April or May or even June.

Nah man the transition between Switch to Switch 2 is gonna be gradual next year. Announcement will happen before the end of this year, console will release March or April, and the new games for old Switch will just hold over some gamers for the year until most of Nintendo’s consumer-base is fully transitioned to the new Switch 2 by 2026 (meaning all the gamers buy a copy of the console). A March release is completely possible with a December production run. If tooling and components are ready and the prototyping is finished, why would there be a problem with a 4 month production run?

I think the hype has gone off now so I'm looking at next year instead of October. It would be a tight timeline to release before summer after a January reveal so I don't know if that would work out well or not so much. I hope they are going to do well, give us something to get us thinking. I hope they don't keep us wondering too much.

We haven't seen or heard anything on the switch 2 yet from Nintendo themselves only leaks and rumors from so called Nintendo leakers and insiders And time ⏲ is running out for a switch 2 reveal this month. I heard this on TH-cam that PH Brazil said that more remasters from third-party partners games are coming to the current switch consoles for 2025. Nintendo third-party partners could be keeping the current switch consoles alive while Nintendo is focused on the switch 2 console.

I stated me being team reveal early 2025 and release holiday 2025 3 weeks ago on Nin10do's channel, and got at least some things to go through to kill time Echoes of Wisdom, didn't start it yet, DQ3-2DHD next month and DQ1 and 2 - 2DHD as well, might even pick up Prime 4 on OG switch instead of waiting for the cross gen release.
And have my PS5 and MH Wilds early next year to keep me busy the whole of 2025 😊
If we're being honest, the Switch successor should've released last year, early this year at the latest. The 3rd party support has been at practically zero for the past two years, and, to be completely honest, first party stuff have been getting weaker and weaker. I don't understand why they're taking so much time.
To be fair they are getting Yakuza now and a Remake of Trails in the Sky (exclusive, from Falcom which where Sony fangirls)and other stuff. Probably it would have been better sales wise if they launched earlier, also the hardware won't get better with time, it will feel dated a little bit again, but well, Nintendogames on PS4+ hardware will be nice next year too. In the end they need exciting games for that thing, that is the most important. Swich sold because of BotW, Mario, Xenoblade, Mario Kart 8 Remaster...

Personally i don't care at this moment (i waited so long it just doesn't matter anymore), i have so many consoles, a PC, and i still enjoy the Switch too. Also they need to have interesting games for the first year of Switch 2, it wouldn't realy excite me if they released early 2025 and had no interesting games. If they release it with eg. Xenoblade 4 at the end of 2025 i am happy. (not going to happen, but i guess i made my point) Also i can live with remasters for Switch, but only if the Namco ones include Xenosaga.

I have no doubt the switch 2 is going to struggle. The only two gaming consoles Nintendo release that did well launched with the legend of Zelda.
Perhaps they have a Zelda. Tears of the Kingdom used the same world and was 6 years in development, they could have started something different and worked on it simulatenous. Thats what i would have done. Same for Xenoblade 3. I wouldn't even be that shocked if they had Xeno 4 for end of 2025. Xenoblade 2 was a real fast surprise too (2,5 years of development with 44 people of Monolithsoft, rest was outside work from other companies).
BOTW is a piece of crap. I so bored that I didn't touch my Switch for 3 years because that piece of crap.

the switch 2 is looking powerful, but as it gets pushed, it's looking weaker and weaker.
In the end specs won't matter that much anyway, if games look good on it. I mean its mobile hardware, its no PS5 and it yes it will be a little bit dated. but it has DLSS and a good Nvidia chip, 1500 cudacores and 12gb ram, it will be a massive jump from Switch, much bigger than Wii U to Switch. Nintendo will have PS4+ like hardware with more ram that is more modern, with stronger CPU too, Nintendo games will really shine on that thing if they use it well enough. DLSS is a big thing too for a console.

Nah man the transition between Switch to Switch 2 is gonna be gradual next year. Announcement will happen before the end of this year, console will release March or April, and the new games for old Switch will just hold over some gamers for the year until most of Nintendo’s consumer-base is fully transitioned to the new Switch 2 by 2026 (meaning all the gamers buy a copy of the console). Literally a decline and incline simultaneously 📉📈
