I think the 1080p handheld screen is a mistake. It should be 900p on an 8-inch display, because 900p is retina, unlike 720p. However, 900p uses 1.5x the power of 720, while 1080p uses 3x the power. Wdym "nintendo is nintendo again", buddy ofc they are not spoiling anything about their next gen consoles. It has nothing to do with them being nintendo you bumhead
Back in 2015, there were rumors about Project NX, and most of them turned out to be true, such as the hybrid system, memory storage, and the Tegra X1 chip. Even the design of the Joy-Cons was leaked. You can choose to have faith or disbelief, depending on your hopes...
imagine being able to do portrait mode with the 8 inch screen and you can attach joycons at the side. It's like a tall screen that can have split display to be able to play DS games.
9:13 If the Switch can stream output to another screen, there could be a Stream Play functionality where you can stream a second output to another Switch and play multiplayer without downloading additional data. It would be the succesor to the DS and 3DS Download Play
As Long as it is backwards compatible, can play 1080p at 60fps (at least) and 4k while docked (dlss, fsr) And just maintain the current battery life and better quality ergonomic joycons. We are good. Oled or miniled will be a bonus.
Although the GPU can suport Ray Tracing, I don't think we should expect this on the games, because ray tracing can be quite heavy and can heat the device and this is still a handheld, so maybe Nintendo will even block that feature so the developers focus more on more important parts. Maybe DLSS will be there, and that would be really cool.
Gosh same, I want a full reimagined version of it from the ground up with visuals, combat, gameplay and everything. The 3DS one was more like upgrading some N64 assets but still the same game at the core
I really want them to add a side story like Xenoblade games (different protagonist, timeline, gameplay, etc) where we get to play as Zelda during the 7 year time skip.
Not gonna lie Aero, this is the best video I've seen about the switch 2, and I've seen many switch 2 videos, but this is hands down the best. I know it took you a long time to edit this video. Great job dude.
The back buttons would more than likely be bumper buttons akin to the ones on the back of the Steam Deck and some Xbox One controllers, but if the system has front and rear-facing cameras, I can also see those buttons acting as ways to access a camera mode and snap pictures just like on the 3DS. And speaking of cameras, that could explain why the dock has a damping bracket, as you could adjust the view of the camera while the system's docked. It could even allow the system to turn on and display various images like a clock when not in use, assuming the dock has an open face (which I hope it does). Also, if there really is wireless streaming, I can see the new button below the home button acting as a way to enable it even when the system's docked, kinda like the TV button on the Wii U gamepad. That way you can display dual-screen elements like UIs and menus on the system in handheld mode and stream the main gameplay to a TV through the dock, or alternatively have those dual-screen elements display on the system while it's already docked (again, assuming the dock has an open face).
@@ethanpoegamerpoe9346 I imagine the mic would only be enabled when a game lets you uses it. Also, I thought of a fun idea for another mic on the bottom of the left Joy-Con so you can hold it upside down and use it kinda like a traditional microphone in singing games and whatnot

There's a lot to be excited about with this thing, though I'll stay patient until it's fully unveiled. That said aside from stuff like DLSS upscaling and ray tracing, I hope UFS ends up doing something similar to the PS5 and Xbox Series SSDs and really reduces load times. That has been an incredibly quality of life enhancement feature I like about the current PS5 and Xbox Series if only because I have less time nowadays so spending less time on load screens and more time actually playing is gonna be a treat. Dear old people 😃 It's not cartridges, not tapes, and not CDs. More specifically, Game Cards are Nintendo’s proprietary variant of flash-based digital media, similar to SD cards but specifically designed for the Switch - cartridges are bulkier rom-based media that went out of use with the N64 and GBA.
A thing I really want to see is the opportunity to play other console games on switch 2 thanks it’s new system. It would be wonderful to play some souls like, call of duty… but I’m little bit scared about the price because 400 bucks is a lot considering that ps5 is around 450-500€ and I don’t want to pay 70 or more bucks for two little controllers honestly.
There may be people who just want to talk about the Games but I’m like you, I love to talk about Tech! I want to know what’s on the horizon! Great video!
The most exiting feature for me would definitely be the wireless connection for 2 screen games. Not only does this allow for proper ports/Online releases of the entire DS-3DS era, it allows for many Wii-U games to have second life as well. For the preservation of a huge part of Nintendos recent history it seems pretty important. Those Zelda remasters alone! Everybody complains about those being left behind on the Wii-U, and if this wireless connection thing is true it's the perfect launch title for Switch 2
I just want to comment on the DLSS bullet point and explain in more detail: Upscaling low resolution to higher resolutions isn't really the "big" feature here, it's that you can upscale with little to no cost to performance while having the game look just as good if it were native. Scaling from something like 720p to 1440p, while performing as if it were only running at 720p. Visually it gets a bit more noticeable when your native resolution is low and the upscaling is high, so scaling from 480p to 4k might look a bit messy, whereas 720p to 1440p would look better technically speaking. But the idea here, if your game runs at native 720p 60fps just fine, but running it at 1440p natively drops performance down to 30fp, you could use DLSS to upscale it instead and not really lose any performance.
@@ActualAero may i ask you about something, a leak that is the wildest we have seen the double screen debacle that stems from the patents that were found. you think there is a possibility that the NS2 could have a 2 screen mechanic as their innovation? (obviously not exactly as the patent, since those arent accurate, just seeing the Switch og patent XD)
I wonder if there's a chance the screen will be min LED. Though chance due to price, but it would b an improvement over a standard LCD screen while avoiding burn-in issues. Edit: Another thing to look forward to is how Switch 1 games will run on the Switch 2. Even without increasing the resolution via patches, the extra raw power will allow games to run at their full framerate and full resolution at all times. For Xenoblade titles, that means the resolution and framerate won't dip down to N64 levels anymore!

They want to make cheaper gimmick based consoles because most of their games aren't high intensity for the most part. the switch didn't run better than a 360/wii u/ps3 but it still lasted until this year and they didn't really have major road blocks until past 2021 for limiting game design. Your point about the steam deck doesn't even work, you can get a steam deck for 300$ and 500gb of storage for 300$ right now. Along with what someone else said a ps4 pro was 400$ almost a decade ago. a modern console at 300-400 would be as good or better than that despite the portability aspect.

I definitely will want the Switch 2. I would definitely trade my PS5 for the next Switch. I am definitely in support of physical games. I play very few games on the PS5, because I don't like the controllers as much, I don't like the way the GUI works and just over all experience of the XBOX X and Nintendo Switch feels better to me.
I really think they will do something like a 2nd screen or wii U style with better implementation. Don’t think the screen will be 1080 - this is Nintendo and they focus far more on battery life. The 4K upscaling is also a bit dubious, maybe 1440p which would still be an improvement - especially noting what the steam deck can do which should be somewhat comparable - I don’t see it having ps4 pro power - this is. But the idea here, if your game runs at native 720p 60fps just fine, but running it at 1440p natively drops performance down to 30fp, you could use DLSS to upscale it instead and not really lose any performance.
Excellent and well-detailed video! Thanks! You've got a new subscriber!
Thanks so much!
Also. Switch 2 being like a Steam Deck sounds good for me. Remember that thing can run any current PC games.
Not ANY PC game but most of them.

@@ActualAero may i ask you about something, a leak that is the wildest we have seen
the double screen debacle that stems from the patents that were found.
you think there is a possibility that the NS2 could have a 2 screen mechanic as their innovation?
Probably for the revision they'll do Mini LED or OLED
DS and Wii U games working on Switch 2 sounds amazing. It’s one of my most wanted things. Hell, even Wii Games too.
Add a GameCube to the Online and we’re perfect.
The LCD screens were improved from what I heard.. so might be better than the Oled's screen
OLED is still the best screen im the market... unless its an AMOLED like newer samsung phones...
Lol, WTF man?
@@erickreyes7902 amoled is just marketing its still just an oled screen the am part refers to an active matrix which is present on evey screen even lcds we just dont call them amlcd
You get what you pay for. If you want it to cost 299 dont expect 599 performance
*399
PS4 Pro was $399 in 2016, by the way. If the next Switch console is a little less powerful than a PS4 Pro, $399 is a reasonable price to speculate. You might even be able to argue that Nintendo would have it be less than $399, though I don't hold any belief that Nintendo would dip it below that price if they know that people are still willing to pay it
@@EmeraldMan25 well dont expect rog ally or steam deck performance those devices can handle modern games since they got impressive internals and price. The Nintendo can't keep up
499 is fine
@@hackysmacky Nintendo isn't trying to keep up though...
Wow, such a great video, really enjoyed it.
I prefer my devices be durable instead of looking pretty. Cut all the corners you need Nintendo to make it as affordable as possible!
Good video and system breakdown
With how much they can fit into totk on the switch just imagine what they could do with this new console. Actually insane
I could see there being an adapter that you can slide on your switch 1 joycons that allow them to attach magnetically/charge. Doesn't seem like too big of a deal imo
I am not trying to be a jerk here but every time I hear "Electromagnetic Suction" my brain breaks Suction is created by differences in pressure magnetism is created by the attraction of electrons very different processes.
What would you call it then? Cause it’s a scientifically proven thing that you can send a current through metal to basically stick and unstick two pieces or something.
Genuinely curious. I only took 1 year of physics in college >>
@@thespeedyyoshi An electromagnetic pull but suction is not accurate nothing is "Sucking" there is no vacuum created.
@@TheGrayKPlays oh it’s called an EPM or electro-permanent magnet I forgot that’s the official name
I know I'm extremely late to watching this but I finally did and I honestly feel like despite keeping up with the information on it I forgot a lot of this so it was a great refresher and reminder of what's to come so makes me happy for what we know about it
Thank you for watching!
I’ve heard/read their will be two models of switch 2 and price of digital switch 2 is $400 while $450 for physical switch 2
the steam deck oled has a 7.4 inch screen, how is the switch 2 going to have an 8 inch screen but is smaller than the deck?
I'm assuming they mean like the length; won't be as long as a Steam Deck with the Joy-Cons attached
See the consoles again, and the you will have your answer
I'm just saying cause I have both the switch and deck and don't really see how it can be smaller with a much bigger display
I can't wait for switch 2 to come out.. then Aero can start making videos about something other than the switch 2 coming out.
Switch 3 videos after obviously
Switch 2 LITE/OLED/Pro, that's like 4 years of videos right there @@ActualAero
Even though I have a steam deck but still like my switch for the smaller and light form factor. I tend to appreciate it more after using SD.
That's not entirely true, there are a few things we know, like it has an LCD screen and an NVidia T239. But that's about it. Personally I don't care if it has an LCD screen because I only play docked anyway
None of these are entirely true; it's all logical speculation based on reputable rumors & leaks
@@ActualAero A lot of the information comes directly from shipping data, so that info's reliable.

the extra button on the joy con will probably be for the microphone right?
It could be
1:19 aye give some credit to my boi endo
5:11 this part is so extremely important and the main reason why I've decided to stay away from xbox/playstation and put all my gaming focus back into Nintendo.
Bro imagine Splatoon upscaled to 4k with ray tracing. No one will every say "But it's a kid's game" ever again.
I have already been hearing about the camera for a while now, and that it might be used for either VR or AR technology.
We don’t need a camera on a video game system. Taking screen shots is one thing but having an actual camera is a waste on a handheld system. Use that space to make the system better. A microphone would be ok but not really necessary
Awesome, learned something new watching this!
12 gb is fair. If I'm not wrong that's what the Xbox Series S has.
So that's a good equivalent.
It actually 10 GB of ram that the series s have.
@@johneskow6299 so it would be above a Series S bellow a Standard PS5.
That is more than enough for 8th and 9th gen games. Just not 4K.
I'd bet 4K or just 2K for their games.
@@maravreloaded it between power of ps4 pro and series s in docked mode. Because of DLSS is going help the successor out alot more.

we need Nintendo to finally compete with ps5/xbox, they gotta go all in all graphics beast system. no more hand helds!! just keep switch , and make a new system us nintendo fans deserve masterpeice games with good graphics
I would absolutely love a Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch 2 I never got to play it and I would love to see what it's like.

I own it on Wii U, but I absolutely do not wanna play it on Wii U
I hope to see a second game for hat in time for the switch successor
That would be nice!
Great video
On the colored buttons -- I really like this, but on the mockup you show in the video, it doesn't make much sense. The color layout on the left joy-con would/should be different such that it would be the same as the right joy-con when holding it horizontally, IMO
I didn't make the mockup but I agree
0:02 I have been hearing this for years.
"know" if it's a rumor then we don't know, we think/assume.
Yes, exept that the leaks comes from Shippement Data, so something very legit
Shipment data is pretty reliable information. Unless Nintendo are shipping random ass hardware for no reason… lol
Shipment data is undeniable. Everything else in this I think is made clear that its speculation.
I think the dual screen in use for Ds games/wii u is epic!
honestly cant wait. ive recently got a wiiu and ive been really enjoying the games on it so ive been wanting to try out some of the switch games but didnt want to buy one with switch 2 around the corner
Which device would you buy ?? Switch 2 or PS5 slim ?? Im hesitating !
So excited for switch 2!
Me too!
Okay the new leak supports a lot of this. Damn.
Great video on the rumors and likely leaks. Nintendo Switch 2 seems a big leap from Original Nintendo Switch.
Most important aspect to the upgrade is devs being able to port modern games to it.
For sure, thanks for watching!
Any idea what game is coming with the new Switch?
So it's for sure confirmed that switch games will work on the switch 2?
Does the US price not include tax? I feel like that is always the main reason why US and UK prices are listed as the same because the UK price includes tax and the US price doesn’t.
I have the Xbox X, PS5 Slim, and the Nintendo Switch. Personally the Nintendo is my favorite system. The main thing I want is the Switch 2 to be able to play more games like Cyber Punk and Diablo. I definitely will want the Switch 2. I would definitely trade my PS5 for the next Switch. I am definitely in support of physical games.
I play very few games on the PS5, because I don't like the controllers as much, I don't like the way the GUI works and just over all experience of the XBOX X and Nintendo Switch feels better to me.
is switch 2 reaval this coming week
There's a chance but no one knows for sure
No lol
Will this have HDR support?
I don’t care about Nintendo’s gimmicks. I just want them to release a 4K console already. It is really overdue.
All Nintendo has to do is not make it ugly now and we have a winner for the next 3-4 years
What was that ocarina gameplay from?
I have $450 ready to push that button.
Nothing!
[rolls the outro]
I would pay 100 more for an oled display. Idc
OLED looks REALLY good on the switch so imagine what it would look like on the new one!
5:46 you know why games are digital? Because games are too big to run entirely off the hard river so the physical media just installs the game
prob gonna get backlash but the switch 2 will prob be on top of sony and mircosoft of of their.... recent actions
wiiu?
I really think they will do something like a 2nd screen or wii U style with better implementation. Don’t think the screen will be 1080 - this is Nintendo and they focus far more on battery life. The 4K upscaling is also a bit dubious, maybe 1440p which would still be an improvement - especially noting what the steam deck can do which should be somewhat comparable - I don’t see it having ps4 pro power - this is. Nintendo 😂
I'm hoping it comes out soon I wanted to buy a switch but I always felt like it was too late for it since it wouldn't be Nintendos main support in a year so I hope it comes out really soon
just get a switch lite mane you can probably get one used for like 100 bucks
The only way I’m getting it is if its actually different enough from a normal switch
If they don’t call it the “Super Switch”, im gonna be disappointed
it may not even be a switch console, it says "nintendo switch successor"
Nintendo's president already confirmed it's a new Switch model nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-president-next-system-can-be-described-as-switch-next-model/

will there be stick drifts? that what im worried about for the joycons
The switch 2 is going to be like the current switch. A little better and still old tech.
Lets hope you can play ds/3ds games on it play on the big screen 🥰
They need to add kid Icarus uprising!
Electro magnetic field would create a lot of heat. I don’t think it would work. But maybe just magnets
If the switch is slowly getting bigger does that mean we are just getting the wii u remote?
All these concepts of the Switch 2 are horrendous.
