@@aaronr5422you can always do some homebrew with it. It has Wii bc, and you can always install software to be able to play GameCube titles. And Virtual Console titles as well. Be sure to backup your Nand, those are dying left and right and don't leave it without power.
I hope you're right about this stuff. I first played Metroid Prime when it came to Switch. I never played it on Gamecube. Same with 2 and 3. The remaster was basically breathtaking. I loved it! I would love Prime 2 and 3 to be remastered! Same with the Zelda games!
I think switch 2 is gonna be 100% backwards compatible and these games that are releasing will probably all run more smoothly so it don't really matter what they release because ultimately they are all for the next gen platform.
As for the zeldas I think we need a 2D and 3D compilation, not just wind waker and Twilight princess HD, although those can be part of the 3D compilation, The other being ocarina of Time 3D HD

hopefully we get both zelda games ported over due to the WiiU’s abysmal sales not to mention, the WiiU is a physically dying console. the eshop is offline and if you havent plugged it in for a while, something within the console itself just dies, bricking the entire unit
I am so happy that we’ve got one of my favorite games from the Wii U ported to the Nintendo Switch. I love Xenoblade Chronicles X and in my opinion it’s worth the wait both the Switch 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles X. The only port I want from a Wii U game is Yoshi’s Woolly World, I know we’ve got Yoshi’s Crafted World but I love Yoshi, Yoshi himself deserves just as much love as Luigi got or even more 🫶💖✨☺️

Could still happen. The gap between Switch reveal and release was 4 months and 2 weeks. It could be revealed in January and release in May and I think the latest it would release is September bc they will definitly have the next 3D Mario ready for the 40th aniversary of Super Mario Bros

That's my favorite track from XC3. An absolutely masterfully done trilogy. But XCX had me hooked for months. After mastering Ghost Walker I did whatever i wanted in that game. Fun times.
I think the Switch 2 reveal will be somewhere in the November 20 to December 7 time frame. I never believed it would be any sooner than this because it would have obliterated the recent Zelda release as well as Mario and Luigi: Brothership release. Noone will care about Switch game announcements / releases once the Switch 2 is revealed. All talk and excitement after that point will about the Switch 2 hardware, release date, and games. I don't know of any other imminent new releases by Nintendo after Brothership, so a Switch 2 announcement fits perfectly a little while after that game is released. Nintendo also previously stated that the Switch 2 would be revealed this year. Some people argue that they meant the financial year, but Nintendo wouldn't communicate to their customers in such terms. This year means this calendar year. They wouldn't want to do it too close to Christmas either. So, November 20 to December 7.
Its so funny how things change over time. Back when this game was released people hated everything about it. They hated the music, the story, the characters. It was definitely a slow burn. They wanted the XC1 look. Very few games can touch XC1 but I probably spent more time play XCX then the other 3 combined.

We may get a remake, but it’s not certain. It’s been leaked, but Nintendo doesn’t verify. It’s DEFINITELY coming out, even though we’ve said this again and again and nothing came of it. I'm sure Nintendo is going to continuously release their older games on the newest hardware for one reason.....defeat emulation. If games are always available for purchase, pirates can not use the excuse that the game is unavailable for purchase.

EXACTLY since the Switch 1 they screwed up Sonic Generations. You want 31 FPS on those Zelda games? OF COURSE NOT. The Switch 2 can handle it but if they put it to an outdated machine outdated results will happen and fans complaining about the price and performance of the games

I am starting to think this could be a Game Boy Color Situation. It could be a huge Upgrade and no sucessor. More like a pro machine. Why didn' they just announce it for XSX/PS5 and Switch? About Switch Up: While i am starting doubting more every week my original prediction from 2019 (march 2025) could come true. I see Switch support at least till march 2027. Why? Nintendo promised many times to keep tge Switch around longer than previous Nintendo systems. 2025 we got the mentioned ports+ MP4, Pokemon Z-A, and Prof. Layton. I do not think that was all. I think its possible that at least 1 of these games (especially tge original ones) could be delayed to march 2026. By jumping into the future i think even 2026 will have games for Switch first party, most of them cross gen. I see this continuing even through 2026 well into 2027 when the final first party (cross gen) games should arrive.

Chronicles X was the only one I didn't like... Its a directionless open world game with no story. I loved all the other Xenoblade Chronicles games but Hated X.

No one is saying it’s coming out in 2024. The idea is that they could reveal in 2024 and launch in early 2025. The switch was revealed in October 2016, and launched in March 2017. That’s the thought process.

About Switch Up: While i am starting doubting more every week my original prediction from 2019 (march 2025) could come true. I see Switch support at least till march 2027. Why? Nintendo promised many times to keep tge Switch around longer than previous Nintendo systems. 2025 we got the mentioned ports+ MP4, Pokemon Z-A, and Prof. Layton. I do not think that was all. I think its possible that at least 1 of these games (especially tge original ones) could be delayed to march 2026. By jumping into the future i think even 2026 will have games for Switch first party, most of them cross gen. I see this continuing even through 2026 well into 2027 when the final first party (cross gen) games should arrive.
This game will be released before Switch 2 is announced 🤣🤣

No one is saying it’s coming out in 2024. The idea is that they could reveal in 2024 and launch in early 2025. The switch was revealed in October 2016, and launched in March 2017. That’s the thought process.
