We have an old home here in GA. We have several Frigidaire window units-a life saver!
You can search for an HVAC for a/c repair specialist or replace the old unit. Fans are a lifesaver in the hot, sticky summer. You can put them in the windows to suck the hot air out. I k know what it’s like not having a/c.
