Hi, i noticed you pulled out old glasses. I just wanted to make you aware that local Lions clubs will take donated glasses, reading glasses, and sunglasses. They will donate them to be reused across the world for those that can’t get glasses on their own. Our Westerville Lions Club donates to The Ohio State University. They clean them up and determine the prescriptions and get them ready for new users. They do trips to do eye tests and fit the glasses for folks. It is amazing. I just wanted to make you aware for old glasses.

Ugh this inspired me (forcing me) to clean out my nightstands because I swear that is a place items go to die for me 💀
I’ve never followed a decluttering method before but this is so intriguing to me! I need to do this with so many spaces in my house.
I feel like I’m the same with shoes, I am so minimal when it comes to this! I have like 2 pairs of sandals, my vans, one pair of workout shoes, etc. Just never been a shoe gal 🤪

Great work! I’m on this teacher journey too. It’s the first summer that I’m sticking with it. I do a little each day. Just finished our closets (small 1960s closets). I feel you on the proud moments, I can actually see my daily and seasonal clothes.

Love that you still do konmari cleans! You should upload in 4k quality
@@lindseyo3054 you can adjust the quality on your end in the little gear icon. It automatically sets it to 720 for most people, but you can change it to 1080p and it will be higher quality 😊 it’s almost as good as 4K but my camera doesn’t shoot in 4K! And it’s expensive lol!

As much as I love clothes declutter motivation, I'm saddened when I've seen you've had a full bag of trash but didn't shown any of the clothes that went in that bag 🥲It's literally the only clothes that I'm struggling to declutter haha. I can easily give a lot of my clothes to goodwill, but anything that can't be donated, even if it's just an old shirt with holes in it, I put it in a clean bag that will most likely stay in the garage forever 🤭 I've even wished that you would like emptied a bathroom trash can over in that bag just so anything that is inside can't be taken out anymore 😆 With that many clothes you were able to declutter, I guess you won't need to discard any for a long time, but I hope you'll remember to film few at least 😇 I struggle almost as much to toss old magazines and fashion/beauty stores catalogues/flyers too in case you have any.
Is the further left pile we see that you're throwing a striped piece at 12:58 was the trash pile ? Haha at least I could say I've seen something if it was that 😅
Most of my clothes that went in the trash were undergarments and old socks! Nothing special I promise! All of my clothes on this day that I decluttered were in good enough condition to donate!

I’ve started giving gifts in a reusable bag that the person can keep and reuse. At Christmas is it can be wrapped I wrap it and toss paper and boxes. I also never buy bowes

You could get a bed skirt to hide the stuff under.
We used to have one but just another thing to collect dust and hair! We’re getting a new bedframe soon to hide some of those things 😊

I would consider putting the computer monitor behind the bottom row of your hanging clothes. Make the face of the monitor face the wall. See how that works for you. That way it is out of the floor where you walk

I feel like making videos about how to avoid having to declutter all together and address the overconsumption in our society would also be helpful. Especially from moms? I feel like every other video I see is decluttering and destressing but do we actually know how to avoid that stress to begin with?
@@jesseferguson3205 i think for a lot of people the overconsumption thing is relatable, but I know for people like me, I have adhd so I tend to not put things back where they are supposed to go, thus creating clutter 😂 and then just having kids with school papers, outgrowing clothes, random junk toys from wherever, I think sometimes decluttering is just inevitable unfortunately, no matter how hard we try to keep an organized home! I’ve realized it’s just part of living for (most) people. But yes when you talk about overconsumption, that can be something very helpful to talk about, and just not falling into this trap of feeling like you need every gadget for your kids! I’ll address this in an upcoming video because I love that idea. Thank you for the feedback 🩷🩷
