I haven’t heard this beautiful little piece in so many years! My mother taught it to me when I was first learning to play. She died in 2017; hearing this tune this evening made me remember her fondly. Thank you.
@ yup she did. She also gave me vocal talent but I didn’t pursue it until after she died when I was 46. At this point in my life it’s the only instrument I play. When she died in 2017, I inherited her baby-grand, which is the one I started on. The joke we always used to say was that the moment I sat on the bench and started banging on the keys, her response was “oh no, if that child is going to do that then he’s going to do it right!”
Oh, lovely. I took lessons when I was 20, and didn't have the trill but same tune. i did not play as quickly but it was a fun time in my life. Thank you for uploading great videos.
Hey Paul ! Looking for your vidéos from many years… I’m from France, Périgord Noir. This is my first com. The first video I saw was with a éléphant, what a curious thing I thought. But, what a incredible man you are. I had the chance to see brendel, kissin… Some of your interpretation are master piece for me. Hope to meet you, if the life render it possible 🙏🙏

Mr Barton has indeed one of the smoothest hand technique for playing. Bravo.
