    Seems ok with this light load. I’m wondering how it will do with a full heavy load or a comforter that’s where these machines have challenges. The rinse would always have to have fabric softener selected even if you don’t use fabric softener because the spray rinses just don’t cut it.

    • @Whoopsie_Dazy
      @Whoopsie_Dazy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked at the size of this machine and thought it would be perfect for a king size comforter. Judging by the way it grinds everything in the bottom then doesn't turn the load very well, I won't put a comforter in it.

    • @petermaz701
      @petermaz701 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Whoopsie_Dazy unless you just want to give your comforter a soak, because it certainly won't be washed. These machines don't have the strength to turn anything over.

    How can your clothes be cleaned since it rinse without filling up the drum with water? I saw water coming into the drum, but going out of the drum at the same time, and the water didn’t hit the clothes. How can this be cleaned and water safe? It is a waste of water, since it doesn’t serve any purpose. Does any one pay attention to this?

  • @terrymingle8355
    @terrymingle8355 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Initial reaction to buying this thing. This washer takes FOREVER to do one load of laundry. I'm not kidding. You can do larger loads, but they take WAY longer than a normal washer to wash a load of clothes. So you save time not doing as many loads, but then you do not really save time because it takes forever and a day to sense/fill/wash/spin/rinse! And don't try to stop something in the middle to check on anything. It will drain the whole tub and you have to start over. And I'm still not clear on how the clothes get clean with no agitator standing up in the middle. I've had this for about a month now. The clothes are clean, but....don't always seem as clean as would like them to be. I am going to keep using this and see if I start liking it better after a while. Disclaimer: My previous washer (also a Maytag) I'd had since the 1990's, so this one does a better job washing than the LAST one, but it leaves me wondering if there is a better choice out there, especially for my husband's work shirts.

    My brand new Maytag top load HE washer is a complete lemon. when i wash bedding it makes these horrible banging noises, requires me to babysit the machine while it refills the basket TEN TIMES or more trying to "rebalance." using way more water than an old school washer. when i wash clothes they leave soil residue in the creases of the clothes. I have used this washer for over a year and every single time i try to wash a cotton blanket or cotton comforter it makes these horrible banging noises and even after repositioning the items multiples times it still fails to balance EVERY TIME. and when the machine tells me it's done the blankets are still soaking wet and smell like sweaty soiled clothes because it never gets properly agitated or spun/drained. The machine tells me it's done but the clothes smell like sweat and dead skin and are dripping wet, obvious signs of a deficient washer. can't clean and can't spin dry. so now i'm drying a soaking wet blanket for over THREE HOURS in the dryer that smells like dirty clothes because the washer told me it is "done" because it simply stops attempting to spin after multiple attempts. I cannot wait for a class action lawsuit against Maytag top loader HE washers, they are the worst in the world. I will never buy anything Maytag as long as I live and will tell everyone I talk to about how bad Maytag is. NEVER MAYTAG, THE WORST BRAND OF WASHING MACHINE EVER MADE. I cannot wait until the class action lawsuit arrives. Maytag you deserve what happens to you for selling a lemon, you complete and utter scumbags. AVOID MAYTAG AT ALL COSTS. Also their dryer is way too hot at the "low" setting, burns my clothes. worst company ever. and they don't even honor their heavily advertised warranties because MAYTAG is complete scum.

      I wish people would educate themselves and read the manuals before posting comments like these. This machine does a power scrub at the beginning with concentrated detergent. There is water under the impeller that is thrust up through all those holes in the impeller while it agitates/scrubs. It’s like when you rub clothes together that are damp with detergent to remove stains. Take note of how long the water runs before you visibly see it in the tub. It’s not running out on the floor. Lol.
      I had the Kenmore Elite version of this and my clothes were never destroyed or damaged. They smelled so fresh and clean and never had soap residue on them. I ended up giving it away due to family life events and having to take care of a loved one in their home or I’d still have it. I’d purchase one of these in a flash if I could find one with the recirculating pump to spray the top of the clothes during the scrub phase. I’m not taking jabs at anyone but read your user manuals and operate the machine how it was designed and you’ll get clean clothes period with this or the whirlpool sister variant. Thank you for posting these videos!!

  • @tallboyyyy
    @tallboyyyy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    The main reason I dislike this type of machine was on display with this one. It took this machine between 17 and 18 minutes just to get the water level correct. The way the water just dribbles in would make you think the screens on the water connections are clogged up. And then after some reasonable washing action due to being in deep fill mode we get a dribble rinse. The force of the water coming in doesn't qualify it to be called a spray rinse. Honestly even though I'm not a fan of front loaders if I had to buy an HE machine and if my choice was one of these vs a front load machine I'd go front load every time. For now I'll stick with my 2017 Speed Queen and my 1978 Maytag.

    There is not enough water. These clothes do not look like they are getting clean. Bought a Whirlpool. It has water and clothes are clean but button are a hassle and it’s loud. It’s hard to find a good washing machine with dials that is large capacity, nice glass lids and not pushing buttons waiting to go through a stupid menu rather than just turning a dial to what you want.

    Oh my goodness! I had a washer that worked just fine but since I needed a new dryer, I thought I would go ahead and get a washer to match!! Worst mistake of my life. I hate that it doesn’t give you but a few cups of water, but just try washer blankets or throws! Nightmare!! I have to stand in front of it and try to balance the load and it might work but most times not! It ought to be against the law to sell these! If I could get them to come pick them up, I would almost pay them!! I am calling the manager tomorrow even though they told me I am about a week over the time to get a refund!!!

    • @WristBench

    Worst washer I've ever owned.
    The washing action twisted every piece of clothing into a knot. Imagine a cinnamon roll - only the outermost layer gets cooked (or cleaned, in this case). Literally, clothes with clean/dirty stripes.
    Then, removing them from the washer means several minutes of untangling and untwisting them before they are ready to be put in the dryer - like every other washer that DOESN'T need to be messed around with first.
    Also, be very careful to make sure you remove all coins before washing since they will get caught in the agitator and take a lot of effort to extricate.
    Bottom line - Don't buy this one.
    I very much regret my purchase.

      @Sduell60 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      One more complaint...
