We purchased this Maytag MVW7230Hw washer from Pochel’s in Tacoma, Washington. It was delivered and set up by the delivery person. We tried to do a load of laundry and the washer wouldn’t agitate. I took a video to show that the agitator pretty much just vibrated, and didn’t even disturb the small amount of suds that formed when the machine partially filled with water. I took the video to Pochels the next morning. They said they would gladly deliver another machine for only $100. I told them I wasn’t willing to pay an additional $100 to get a machine that worked when I had already paid over $1,000 for one that obviously didn’t work. Pochels told me to contact Maytag for a repair. I explained that since I had the machine less than 24 hours, I didn’t think it appropriate to call for a repair, but they explained that was my only option. I called Maytag, and the first appointment is several weeks out Later we tried another load of laundry and the washer literally tried to dry clean the clothes. You can see in the video that there is NO water in the machine, enough water came out to dampen the clothes and that was it. At least this time the agitator worked! But I have to manually add water to each load even though I put it on maximum fill. It takes about 4 hours to do a load of laundry. This machine is supposed to save water, but even when the agitator does work and you manually add water to the machine, you have to push heavy jeans under the water and swish them around with your hand to get them clean. I might as well go to the river and pound my clothes on the rocks. The agitator doesn’t always work, the fill doesn’t always work, the agitator tries to dry clean the clothes with no water in the tub the clothes on top don’t get clean.
Right. I missed the premiere... But I've seen all I need to see. They increased the impeller speed for this cycle, but it doesn't look to have helped much. Oh well. I'll be keeping my speed queen.
Is there a way to have less water added to the cycle? I just bought this washer and it doesn't clean my cloth diapers. They come out almost as they went in and doesn't agitate it enough because there's too much water so they just swish a bit.
Kirk doesn't always use detergent, because he wants everyone to see the "wash action", which I totally understand. The only times he actually uses soap is when he does the dirty jeans test.
This washer took over 20 minutes to fill up which is absolutely ridiculous there is no reason for that. I know you hit extra power could you imagine if you didn’t, it doesn’t make a bit of difference. Just a poor excuse for a washing machine.
This machine is average imo. It uses a decent amount of water. There is a little bit of turnover but still nowhere close to LG & Samsung If you had an agitator washer, keep it. If no,then consider this an option for your next washer

Adjust the deep fill setting to Auto or medium see if that helps
Did you use any detergent? It looks like there is no suds the entire time.

Why it takes so long for washer to start?
If I m right probably it stay there for remain it just try get some dirt out or some dirty out well that what I did before I got Maytag
At least this machine moves stuff around better than the new whirlpool cabrio models.

Don't say speed queen
Yeah, if I may be honest, the heavy duty cycle was better for these sheets. At least in that cycle they actually rolled over.
Cool
Weak washer😞😞
It doesn’t sound like the real bedding cycle
TERRIBLE WASHER. Absolutely AWFUL The cycle is too long for wasting 20 minutes doing nothing.

At 8:15, the machine agitated the clothes without any water in it. What a dumb idea!! I'd never buy this machine.
