  • Scenario: CPR on an Unresponsive Adult
    In this scenario, we have a simulated adult that is in cardiac arrest which implies their heart is no longer beating. Here we go over how to respond to such a situation to give the patient the best chance of survival.

    Great video (as usual). An easy to remember tip for determining need for CPR (compliments of the awesome Resuscitation Academy) is “NO, NO? GO” - ask two questions - are they responsive and are they breathing NORMALLY? (Abnormal breathing should be assumed to be agonal respirations.) If both are a NO, then GO! Start CPR. I also love that compressions continued while you setup the AED. So many places show stopping compressions while the other person is setting up the AED, but it’s sooooo vital to minimize the time off the chest compressions.
