I was both a Poe fan and a Maiden fan. I discoved Dore in '86 when I received a copy of the Raven. My mother sold it by accident so I had to rebuy it years later. My third book illestrated by Dore was Rime of the Ancient Mariner. My parents thought Maiden was satanic. I learned a lot from them.
