Thank you for this! I have made the repotting too soon mistake. Journaling and photos do help track progress. I use Day One journal and have a specific plant 🪴 tag for tracking plant progress.

All good points! I’m old school so I try to leave my plants in the grower’s pot and then place the plant in a decorative pot. When I water the plant I can see how fast the water runs through, etc. Some plants grow large roots and they grow them quickly. My Hoyas typically grow slower and their roots are typically finer. They seem to prefer to be snug in their pots and they definitely don’t like for their roots to be disturbed. 😧 enjoyed your video and your tips!! 👌🌿🥰💚

I just found out Friday that several of my plants had thrips 😔 I've been growing plants since 1986, and never had this problem. Even though back then I only had 8 plants. Now I have close to 40. Someone is helping me with the problem but I'm still sad. I wanted to get a pothos Manjula but have to wait now.

I use the Vera app to track my plants! I just add pictures, and when I’m setting it up I skip the watering schedule part.

I keep track of watering just in my notes app on my phone.

Thank you for this. I was thinking of just doing photos for my plants just to see the growth cause sometimes you won't notice it if you see your plants everyday. It was not discussed in this video but I have a question with regards to propagation. When roots aren't growing for your plants in a water propagation, do you transfer it to another medium or do you keep it in water until roots come out?

I keep them in water! Some cuttings take ages to grow roots (I’ve even had some cuttings grow new leaves before they started putting out new roots). It just takes time really, and I just prefer keeping them in water because it’s easier to see what’s happening with the root situation

@@thepetiteplant Thank you for your reply. I recently rotted the roots of my N'Joy that's why I'm curious cause I've heard other youtubers transferring their prop to other mediums if it is not rooting in water.
