About nuclear waste: We already solved their disposal and storage. And you do not need big sign or pyramid over a radioactive wasteland. Actually, majority of the wastes are no longer radioactive after a few years. The big dangerous ones, the fuel stuff, is like 5-10% of the waste, and all of that can be stored in an area properly maintained and supervised, or buried deep, very deep, below the bedrock, where no biological, water or tectonic shift can impact them. And by the time they are no longer radioactive, nothing would have changed. No leak, nothing. It's just that the public is too afraid of nuclear to acknowledge that, the issue has been solved already.
There actually is a mod that adds hammocks! It's called Comforts, it adds both hammocks to be strung between walls and sleeping bags! Sleeping bags skip night without setting your spawnpoint, while hammocks act as normal beds but are more aesthetically pleasing
At 13:36 the hitching is due to not enough allocated ram to minecraft, you can see it at the top right of the debug menu that it was at 99% of the ram you gave it, giving it a more ram to chew on should stop the hitching in the future
At 57:00 I think you got "Egg-morphed", based on a deleted scene in the original Alien, where host biomass was converted into an ovomorph (egg). It was suppose to explain the final stage of xenomorph reproduction, as the idea of a Queen didnt exist yet.
If I were to be completely honest, my favorite part of the video was the journey before the discovery underneath the Cherry Blossom Mountain. The calmness and the buildup before the storm gives me a feeling I haven’t felt in a good while, nor can I really describe the feeling well. The calmness in the beginning allows the audience to sort of immerse themselves in the world you set up from the crossing of the ocean to finding civilization. If you were to do more of these reviews in the future then I’d honestly be happy to watch more of these videos 👍
Perfect example of expedition gone wrong inspired by Lovecraft's work - Penumbra trilogy by Frictional Games - one of my favourite games of all time, definetly recommed.
The part where you got stuck and died before coming back and finding an ovamorph (facehugger egg) is actually a non-canon form of ovamorph reproduction in Alien lore called egg morphing from a deleted scene in the original 1979 Alien movie. You were trapped in the substance (not decayed egg) and turned into an egg.
If you plan to continue this, I recommend the Lamb Dynamic Lights mod, which is basically Optifine's dynamic lights but for Fabric. Also Sodium and Indium, to help with performance, as a Fabric alternative to Optifine.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy this classic mid 2010's-style lets play combined with soft roleplay aspects, this style of video really throws me back. Wonderful work
I don't know if it's mentioned in the video (still watching), but the heavy frame drops after a while of playing might be caused by insufficient memory allocation. 2GB is usually fine for Vanilla, but with mods, you should considering allocating a total of 3 to 4GB.
@@Sherolox I've had pretty small modpacks chug too though, just by merit of Minecraft Java being so unoptimized. The more you allocate, the better, in most cases, around 75% is best
@@Espartanica Well, I tend to always use a lot of optimization mods, such as FerriteCore, Lithium, Entity Culling and so on, and I have *not* noticed the game chugging on a regular basis with about 6 GB allocated. At least not as severe as seen on the video.
Always like these minecraft videos. You should check out the "From another World" mod that adds another classic horror movie alien monster into the game.
You should put all of the creepy mods like the dwellers (night, cave...) And other creepy ones that are similar! Maybe a new series or even a one-off episode! (Although it would be very cool as a series!)
I'm so happy to see you making more Minecraft content. They're my favourite type of content. It's awesome to see that we're returning to old school Minecraft content. I love it.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! I started watching you with the Cave Dweller video in this very world when I was on a Minecraft horror kick, and now I've binged From the Fog, Voices of the Void, and I'm starting on your Darkwood series! (Darkwood's my favorite horror game by the way.) Keep it up please :)
As the mod is now it definitely seems more like its built for a colonial marines type experience, would be cool to see a server for something like that.
For the FPS issues. The top right of the F3 menu shows how much RAM minecraft is using. And when you meantion the stuttering the RAM is pegging almost %100 usage. I would consider modifying your allocated ram from 2gb to at least 4 or 6 GB for modded minecraft
Thank you so much! This was an awesome playthrough, and it came out just in time for me to use it to motivate myself to finish a chore I really didn't want to. Also, I love your minecraft horror mod playthroughs- actually applying the scientific method and turning the whole thing into a story and an experiment makes them so much more! Speaking of experimentation, can I suggest the biomancy mod? It doesn't quite have the eldritch horror element that this does- it's more like Deep Blood- but I feel like it would give you a lot of horrible squishy things to experiment with.
Horror wise, I'd like to recommend the Scape and Run: Parasites mod. Although it may be of a different pace to the other mods you've looked at, I think it'd be a very interesting look. I'd just be very prepared for how difficult the mod can be for those unfamiliar. But the mod is very well made, and definitely gives you a feeling that not too many other mods can.
oh god yes please, this is my favorite horror mod in minecraft, even if it is for the 1.12 its completly worth it, i would love to see him react to the horrendous creatures in the mod. Tho, he should definetly use other mods along SRP because of the difficulty
I 100% agree, Scape and Run is one of my favorite mods made for this game and I'd love to see Librarian play it! Altho I hope he goes in without the expectation to win, as there is no "winning" against parasites Only lasting
heyo ヾ(´∇`○) ive been watching you for years, I subscribed when you were at like 700 something. anyways I wanted to say thank you. you’re the only youtuber I watch regularly and have become a home staple, (I hate to be that person who goes “I HaVe AdHd” but in this context I do and why I mention it is because you help me a lot to focus, your videos mellow me down enough to get chores done, work done, we even play your horror stories on roadtrips sometimes, youre always in the background during any sort of downtime basically. a good way to put it is your uploads are like those old tv programs that were always on. i’ve yet to meet another youtuber who shares such a similar mind/ fascinations/ appreciations/ and thought processes as me that arent like video game and horror movie analysis channels, and i get too sucked into those to watch them as regularly. I think its pretty neat. you’re like my favorite comfort show
Fellow adhd person here who started watching last year, i watched this video while drawing but felt immersed all the same. I'm glad we both find comfy discomfort in these uploads! To The Librarian, you have a wonderful skill at finding narratives in your gameplay and drawing your audience into your worlds. I've never really been into horror media but you've given me a newfound perspective and appreciation for the genre. Thank you for what you do
@@RavenGamingOverLord The gameplay loop is you take the perspective of a camera system, and you're looking at various parts of some space, such as a passenger train, a house, a hotel, whatever. You have to notice changes in the environment that develop over the minutes of a game session, and report them. They can be as minute as two items switching places, part of the background like the walls changing texture, or something... much more obvious. He'd totally dig it.
I'm really liking this series, it reminds me of the old episodic mod showcases that DanTDM used to make (except this series is more horror-based, the main character is without an assistant, and the main character is much more knowledgeable and verbose.) I hope this will start a new trend of people genuinely passionate about horror mods, making good quality showcases.
14:07 The lag is likely caused by your memory maxing out. In the top right corner of the F3 screen you can see 95% being used out of the 2GB (2048MB) you have allocated to minecraft
I saw someone else suggest this mod, and since probably very few people know about this I'm gonna comment about that as well. You can try out the "dimensional doors" mod, it's a mod that adds dungeons with traps and rewards, with a spooky theme to it. It has no jumpscares, but i think it's worth being mentioned, since the atmosphere is creepy if you think about why the things are the way they are (trying not to spoiler too much)
I really like how you do your best to stick to your roleplaying, but when you slip up you don't make excuses or beat yourself up over it, you laugh about it and keep a lighthearted air about it all. The way you went "I can't even pretend to not know what a xenomorph is," felt oddly endearing.
Huh, I noticed a low droning in the background around 12 minutes in. I'm guessing that was put there in post by you to enhance the spooky factor? It's effective! And the bit of noise is honestly kinda nice.
47:10 i believe was a alien race know as the "Enginiers". Also reponsable for creating the Yautja (Predator) and (accidentally) humanity. Sorry for the bad english
Hey Librarian. (i havent watched the video the whole way through but) when it comes to the stuttering, you could try to allocate more memory/ram towards minecraft using the launchers launch options.
Ik people say it all the time but you seriously deserve more recognition. These vids are always entertaining asf. A nice distraction from the real world. Thanks for that.
35:24 I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I automatically thought about the opening scene in Shrek, where he said “This is the part where you run away”. I say that’s pretty fitting in such a circumstance
You know, I think you’d really like the Miskatonic Mysteries mod. It isn’t fully completed yet, but it has an entire path you can follow involving a cult. I’d also recommend From Another World, if you want something sort of like Gigeresque. It managed to gaslight me many times during gameplay.
I uploaded this comment along time ago, like 47 minutes ago and I dunno why it's not, so I'm reuploading it in firefox, here's the comment. The terror of the librarian saying "I need to know more" again and again when it comes to the Xenomorph is perfect. "what can you teach me?" he asked the thing in the glass case But the thing, unthinking and unknowing, could only teach suffering, and it was very keen on doing so.
I've long looked at this mod and thought it was a really neat take on Alien in Minecraft. Much more interesting than them being added as a normal spawning mob, and have very much been hoping to see someone having a proper experience with it. Being pseudo-rp as per your usual content, and big on immersion, is a massive plus, and content I quite enjoy.
The way you roleplay this kind of makes me think of the people in the journal entries you find in Ark: Survival Evolved. Like Edmund Rockwell or something lol
Oh, I noticed you said "I wish there were Hammocks", actually, there is a mod in case are wondering, it's called "Comforts", it adds hammocks aswell as sleeping bags :3
There was an Alien VS Predator mod for an earlier version of Minecraft. Than one did have guns, defenses and a lot of interaction between the Aliens and regular mobs. It wasn't as contained as this as the aliens spawned naturally or in underground hives.
14:00 I would strongly suggest up-ing the amount of allocated RAM form 2GB to 4GB as it can be seen riding incredibly close to the maximum of what is allocated. This is what may be causing stuttering, Hope this helps!
I love the way this man speaks lmao. Sounds like he's reading an entry to an old sailors diary when he was sailing across the sea. 'it seems a storm is set upon us and some horrifying beasts of the sea. Docile though they may be, they're still quite disconcerting to look at. Now these look significantly more hostile and we do not have the potions to be dealing with such a place so well leave that for now. Times like this it all feels like an omen. I am seeing all kinds of evidence of lost civilizations and sunken ships I'm starting to wonder if my sinking wasn't actually deliberate or at least some force of nature that we could have known about'
I love these videos! Have you ever considered using a backpack or map mod? I think having a few additional base mods may better fit the scientist theme.
Hi Librarian, another mod recommendation for a future episode: The Dimensional Doors mod. It’s been around since the 1.12.2 days (and probably earlier) and is updated to 1.20.1, but has been slept on for the longest time. It’s possibly one of my favorite exploration mods in the history of the game. I implore you to check it out, your unique approach would really give it the justice it deserves as an amazing mod that warrants appreciation for what it is.
In this mod Alien Queen don't exist so those eggs comes from creatures turned to eggs and that skulls are the remains of those creature used for egg-morphing.
16:13 Apparently, the Silverback Gorilla was considered to be a cryptid (to Europeans at least) until one was shot and their hide or a taxidermy or something was brought back to Europe. This in the early 1900s. Edit: Okay, so I read that in a book once. Turns out it was in the 1840s when Gorilla bones were found and in the 1850s when a dead specimen was brought to Europe.
What in the Alien Trilogy is this?! I use to love playing the PS1 version of that game (and watching my older brother play it) and the graphics of this mod are giving me so much nostalgia as it looks so similar to it, i love it. (Also, the Xenomorpth having Isolation sounds made me have small shivers, ngl, that game scares me)😅 Also, gotta say that for a Alien mod, this looks so cool, the amount of details and how accurate it is to the Alien Genre, it's so well done. Lets just hope the Predators/Yautja were fine with you exploring and taking apart their underground Xenomorpth hunting grounds Pyramid Librarian (that or Weyland Yutani using it for their own gain)😅 Sorry for the small need our there (am a AvP nerd though I'm still learning about Predators/Yautjas tbh) loving this Minecraft side series, keep up with the amazing work Librarian, thanks you, you are awesome👍 (Edit-typo)
Another mod that would fit great into this series would be Alex's Caves. It adds several rare cave biomes you have to find, and each one has a different horror/sci-fi theme: dinosaur caves, magnetic anomaly caves, scary mole bat creature caves, toxic acid caves and Deep One oceanic abyss caves.

I hope you keep using this cave dweller world, or deep blood world, or whatever. It feels iconic now - a good world for all things scary.
About nuclear waste:
We already solved their disposal and storage.
Ahhh yes a fellow science thor watcher
Haha 😂 Now go kiss that silo full of waste 😘
@@Obi117kh gladly, especially to prove you wrong.
already been done @@Obi117kh
Is the public too afraid, or is education around the situation lacking?
There actually is a mod that adds hammocks! It's called Comforts, it adds both hammocks to be strung between walls and sleeping bags! Sleeping bags skip night without setting your spawnpoint, while hammocks act as normal beds but are more aesthetically pleasing
This comment needs more recognition!!
I believe it’s actually the inverted bed being sleep through the day
At 13:36 the hitching is due to not enough allocated ram to minecraft, you can see it at the top right of the debug menu that it was at 99% of the ram you gave it, giving it a more ram to chew on should stop the hitching in the future
yeah, I was about to tell the same. 4gb should be enough for most mods
At this point we need a name for this series.
Maybe like Unrequisited Horrors
i really like that name
I'd be up for that
If this is going to be a series this guy needs to make his videos more entertaining or less corny
@ackvevo I find it plenty entertaining as is.
@@ackvevo Plenty of people enjoy them as they are, so maybe fuck off?
11:06 I love that you actually spotted the face right when I did, no one ever seems to notice funny looking patterns.
07:33 It has been confirmed: Squids are canonically startling.
Gave me flashbacks to reading The Island.
Will never not be livid about the Forge-Fabric split. So many wonderful mod combinations that will never happen again now
The part where you got stuck and died before coming back and finding an ovamorph (facehugger egg) is actually a non-canon form of ovamorph reproduction in Alien lore called egg morphing from a deleted scene in the original 1979 Alien movie. You were trapped in the substance (not decayed egg) and turned into an egg.
If you get an Allay, you should definitely name it Liberty. I’m sure she’d become an iconic character later in the series.
2 liberty’s would get confusing outside the worlds itself
The way the cave dweller series is going, it starts to feel more and more like "The Most Dangerous Game"
8gb really, just to be sure. I play modpacks with 12gb dedicated and an RTX 2060, and still have framerate issues
@@Espartanica
Heavily depends on the size of the modpack, obviously.
300+ mods would require that amount, of course.
@@Sherolox I've had pretty small modpacks chug too though, just by merit of Minecraft Java being so unoptimized. The more you allocate, the better, in most cases, around 75% is best
@@Espartanica
Well, I tend to always use a lot of optimization mods, such as FerriteCore, Lithium, Entity Culling and so on, and I have *not* noticed the game chugging on a regular basis with about 6 GB allocated.
At least not as severe as seen on the video.
Always like these minecraft videos. You should check out the "From another World" mod that adds another classic horror movie alien monster into the game.
Seconding this. Very well made mod
Small nitpick but the I in Giger's name is pronounced "ee", Gee-ger.
Always enjoy your uploads.
I've always heard it pronounced, ga-eye-grr
Guy got the most zesties voice ever and I think I'm falling inlove
"What is wrong in my noggin that makes me do things like this?!"
I call it Adventurer Syndrome.
Your voice is so soothing and smooth. Its so calming. I love that hint of feminine-ness with curiosity. A beautiful story telling sound
you should absolutely try the miskatonic mysteries mod, its a mod inspired by books from hp lovecraft and it has such a vibe to it
For the FPS issues. The top right of the F3 menu shows how much RAM minecraft is using. And when you meantion the stuttering the RAM is pegging almost %100 usage. I would consider modifying your allocated ram from 2gb to at least 4 or 6 GB for modded minecraft
lol when you get distracted by the cherry blossoms is great, creepy AND comfy always!
29:23 "That's some real potent acid and I need to get some"
Lmao
But the mod is very well made, and definitely gives you a feeling that not too many other mods can.
it'd honestly be hilarious for him to have one of his "what are you?... WHAT ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU?!" moments when he comes across a rupter
@@omegadragons321 I feel like we'd get many moments like that for pretty much everything in the mod. And it'd be great!
oh god yes please, this is my favorite horror mod in minecraft, even if it is for the 1.12 its completly worth it, i would love to see him react to the horrendous creatures in the mod. Tho, he should definetly use other mods along SRP because of the difficulty
It should be stated that practically the only way to kill anything advanced is with fire
I 100% agree, Scape and Run is one of my favorite mods made for this game and I'd love to see Librarian play it!
Altho I hope he goes in without the expectation to win, as there is no "winning" against parasites

heyo ヾ(´∇`○) ive been watching you for years, I subscribed when you were at like 700 something. anyways I wanted to say thank you. you’re the only youtuber I watch regularly and have become a home staple, (I hate to be that person who goes “I HaVe AdHd” but in this context I do and why I mention it is because you help me a lot to focus, your videos mellow me down enough to get chores done, work done, we even play your horror stories on roadtrips sometimes, youre always in the background during any sort of downtime basically. a good way to put it is your uploads are like those old tv programs that were always on. i’ve yet to meet another youtuber who shares such a similar mind/ fascinations/ appreciations/ and thought processes as me that arent like video game and horror movie analysis channels, and i get too sucked into those to watch them as regularly.
Thank you for what you do
I am very surprised that librarian hasn't played I'm on observation duty yet.
oh that'd be a very fun game to watch him play
What’s that game?
@@RavenGamingOverLord The gameplay loop is you take the perspective of a camera system, and you're looking at various parts of some space, such as a passenger train, a house, a hotel, whatever. You have to notice changes in the environment that develop over the minutes of a game session, and report them. They can be as minute as two items switching places, part of the background like the walls changing texture, or something... much more obvious. He'd totally dig it.
I'm really liking this series, it reminds me of the old episodic mod showcases that DanTDM used to make (except this series is more horror-based, the main character is without an assistant, and the main character is much more knowledgeable and verbose.) I hope this will start a new trend of people genuinely passionate about horror mods, making good quality showcases.
oh this is the exact kind of mod that would've terrified me as a kid, im SO here for this
TL:”Hello everyone and welcome tooo”
Me: “Voices of the void”
TL: “Minecraft”
Me: “oh”
I've never seen a story told like this!
Such a cool mixture of meta story analysis, commentary from the creator, and improv💕
Oh you can use the connector mod for having gigeresque in forge (if you have already done so my mistake)
Very good video!
14:07 The lag is likely caused by your memory maxing out. In the top right corner of the F3 screen you can see 95% being used out of the 2GB (2048MB) you have allocated to minecraft
I'd love to see you play with many of the other dweller mods on this world
wow the face hugger what a fun game mechanic a tiny little fella that just makes it so you cant play the game and die in a few minutes
Really like your minecraft-centred content, especially your latest from the fog episode
Surprisingly good comedy in this video, good job man
Huh, I noticed a low droning in the background around 12 minutes in.
This gives me old 2012 Minecraft mod showcase vibes, and it makes me happy
Hey Librarian. (i havent watched the video the whole way through but) when it comes to the stuttering, you could try to allocate more memory/ram towards minecraft using the launchers launch options.
Holy cow you’re actually reviewing this mod
In the librarian Minecraft lore we have ghost monsters and other dimensions with creatures made of blood and now Xenomorphs
I uploaded this comment along time ago, like 47 minutes ago and I dunno why it's not, so I'm reuploading it in firefox, here's the comment.
I just love this guy content, sometimes I get bored but I still always come back after a while. I just love this guy's channel, to everyone who's reading this. click that like button and subscribe button too

The terror of the librarian saying "I need to know more" again and again when it comes to the Xenomorph is perfect.
"what can you teach me?" he asked the thing in the glass case
But the thing, unthinking and unknowing, could only teach suffering, and it was very keen on doing so.
So many flashbacks to the old Alien Vs Predator mod
Watching your video of this mod had me thinking about Prometheus again. Love that movie and the fact it's a prequel to Alien.
I would absolutely love to watch you do this sorta stuff in Minecraft VR
25:15 Considering what this creature is, I have to say this one thing.
Phrasing!
The creature ate your potatoes, that's why it grew so fast.
Oh, I noticed you said "I wish there were Hammocks", actually, there is a mod in case are wondering, it's called "Comforts", it adds hammocks aswell as sleeping bags :3
my instant thought on seeing the face hugger pop out the egg was "NO NO IM NOT READY TO BE A FATHER YET NOOOO"
i dont know how recent it is but that skin is adorable. loves it
(55:08) I Love How When The Arrow Missed It Turned Around As If It Was Like "What?"
There was an Alien VS Predator mod for an earlier version of Minecraft. Than one did have guns, defenses and a lot of interaction between the Aliens and regular mobs. It wasn't as contained as this as the aliens spawned naturally or in underground hives.
Love that they use the white human hybrid version of the xenomorph for the one that came from you.
14:00 I would strongly suggest up-ing the amount of allocated RAM form 2GB to 4GB as it can be seen riding incredibly close to the maximum of what is allocated. This is what may be causing stuttering, Hope this helps!
Minecraft (except bedrock) pretty much is a game of multiple genres now due to the amazing modding community.
Wouldn't be a Minecraft video without the fps dropping for no reason 😭
I love the way this man speaks lmao. Sounds like he's reading an entry to an old sailors diary when he was sailing across the sea.
'it seems a storm is set
upon us and some horrifying beasts
of the sea. Docile though they may be, they're
still quite disconcerting to look at. Now these look significantly more hostile and we do not have the potions to be dealing with such a place so well leave that for now.
Times like this it all
feels like an omen.
I am seeing all kinds of evidence of lost civilizations and sunken ships I'm starting to wonder if my sinking wasn't actually deliberate or at least some force of nature that we could have known about'
a random youtube suggestion led me to this channel, this guy has got to be my new favorite creator of creepy and comfy content
YAYY BRAND NEW MOD WITH THIS GOOD OL' MOD (and nostalgic) WORLD
WOW ...Ridley Scott in Minecraft! Definetly The Librarian experiences the exploration of Xenomorph universe. Maybe we found our Ripley! * laugh *
When travelling away from safety and shelter, always place torched on the right, using this technique i have literally never been lost
Would love to see this as a mod showcase series, The Man of Many Horrors.
I love these videos! Have you ever considered using a backpack or map mod? I think having a few additional base mods may better fit the scientist theme.
the mod itself looks horrifying but honestly id love to get my hands on some of those blocks
DD has been around since 1.5.2 if not earlier, it was in the original Hexxit
My absolute favourite TH-camr, thank you Librarian 🙏
In this mod Alien Queen don't exist so those eggs comes from creatures turned to eggs and that skulls are the remains of those creature used for egg-morphing.
16:13
Apparently, the Silverback Gorilla was considered to be a cryptid (to Europeans at least) until one was shot and their hide or a taxidermy or something was brought back to Europe. This in the early 1900s.
Edit: Okay, so I read that in a book once. Turns out it was in the 1840s when Gorilla bones were found and in the 1850s when a dead specimen was brought to Europe.
Drunk rn but ur a real one librarian
This character seems perfect for the sanity mod... slowly losing his mind
This makes me wish that the technic pack "Blight fall" had a dome infected by this stuff, would have been quite interesting
25:16
"How do you get off?"
oh you are getting him off, alright.
I was genuinely surprised when I realized eggmorphing is a part of this mod, it's one of my favourite little known aspects about xenomorphs
1:10:40 I think the jar's contents where the possessions of whoever was sacrificed, like Mummy Jars
What in the Alien Trilogy is this?! I use to love playing the PS1 version of that game (and watching my older brother play it) and the graphics of this mod are giving me so much nostalgia as it looks so similar to it, i love it. (Also, the Xenomorpth having Isolation sounds made me have small shivers, ngl, that game scares me)😅
Also, gotta say that for a Alien mod, this looks so cool, the amount of details and how accurate it is to the Alien Genre, it's so well done. Lets just hope the Predators/Yautja were fine with you exploring and taking apart their underground Xenomorpth hunting grounds Pyramid Librarian (that or Weyland Yutani using it for their own gain)😅
Sorry for the small need our there (am a AvP nerd though I'm still learning about Predators/Yautjas tbh) loving this Minecraft side series, keep up with the amazing work Librarian, thanks you, you are awesome👍
(Edit-typo)
as the no.1 italian H.R. giger fan, this mod seems like it was made for me
Another mod that would fit great into this series would be Alex's Caves. It adds several rare cave biomes you have to find, and each one has a different horror/sci-fi theme: dinosaur caves, magnetic anomaly caves, scary mole bat creature caves, toxic acid caves and Deep One oceanic abyss caves.
It’s nice that the aesthetics of the mod are pretty consistent with Minecraft.
