The sand table looks incredibly cool - the nerd in me wants one. But surely it defeats the entire point of a zen garden in that you get the relaxation/mindfulness while you physically shape the sand by hand...
Came to the comments to say the same thing. A sand table is supposed to be low tech and simple so you can relax and lose yourself in shaping the patterns.
@@thegreattheone 1. I’m not sure you understand what a hypothetical is, because I didn’t say anything hypothetical. 2. I will provide examples of hypothetical statements: Can you post to TH-cam without using electricity? Can you comment on TH-cam vids without using electricity? Do home devices like sand ball movers have a significant impact on the environment compared with other energy consumers, or is it completely negligible, making any virtue signaling comments about how the creator is contributing to climate change ignorant and misguided? These are more hypothetical. 3. Only like 25% of greenhouse gas emissions come from electricity production (in USA, 2020). Of that 25%, most comes from burning coal and natural gas instead of renewables. That is the important issue, and the computer you’re typing on, or the sand ball machine someone likes, is not. So maybe we should think in hypotheticals sometimes, and not be too rigid and literal
If you a musician get the Shure SM7B. A good rule of thumb is if your recording only use mic that connect via XLR cable. If it connects with a USB cable your audio will be very poor. For Podcasts though the USB will work just fine. Thanks for sharing all these cool gadgets!
Nice video. Wish we all had enough cash to have a setup this nice :P One point of contention about that rocket notebook: Storing your notes in the cloud is not more environmentally friendly than storing them on paper. Trees grow back, and the only cost to storing your paper notes is space in your home. Storing notes digitally requires electrical energy as long as you store them, and the process of mining metals to build the physical hardware the notes will be stored on is significantly more environmentally destructive than logging and papermaking. edit: I've reached out to their customer service with my reasons for skepticism and their response was that they've done "no in depth research" to justify the claim that using a RocketNotebook is more ecologically friendly than using traditional notebooks.
This video is exactly what I needed after redesigning the layout and aesthetic of my office! With my budget I chose to keep the charging cables but instead grabbed some elago cable management buttons which cleaned them up and thankfully didn’t ruin the minimal desk vibe! Commenting just as I’m about to order that rocket notebook! Thanks once again Andrew!
My Favorite Accessory is my Porcelain Eye Glasses Holder. I have reading glasses for my desktop so I know where my glasses are every time I sit at my desk. it can also double as a catch all for smaller items. By the way, Great Video!
The best note thing companion for me is my Tab S9 Ultra, perfect for everything really, I use it In university for taking notes but for also downloading pdf files and highlighting text and so on.
I love my G915 Logitech keyboard. Low profile and comfortable to use all day. I need the numpad, so it’s black, a white one (if ever released) would be perfect.
Not really premium but I found that old school pencils and a good sharpener really improves my desk. Before I was using ballpoint pens which I kept losing since all my coworkers use the same ones. Then I switched to propelling pencils but those keep breaking. The regular pencils are great! Simplicity that works is beautiful!
My favorite premium accessory is my MX Master 3 mouse because it is very ergonomic and has many features that help me complete tasks efficiently. Never left my side for two years. Techie.
I think my favorite is the Blackwing Pencil Caddy Kit. My wife has really gotten into high-end fountain pens, and those really did not grab my attention, but for some reason those pencils do! I think they are reminiscent of me sitting with my Grandfather at his drafting table as a child.
Reusable notebooks are great. When you pass away, every thought and record you have ever made is erased when you die like you never existed. But you saved a tree branch in an industry that plants 3 trees for every one it cuts down. So, you can feel good about yourself.
The bowl is cool, but I'd need one inset into the desk. They should do a kit. Speaker seems a bit mad, considering they're magnet driven and may interfere, not to mention the vibrations and sand! 😁 Cool video though
Integrating song in to the Drift would cause the patterns you get messed up. There is however, a sand and or "glob" speakers that make patterns, also check out how bass effects posting water, it amazing.
This is the video I've been looking for. Thanks for this. Great setup. My favorite on my desk is my M1 16" MacBook Pro! I'm now trying to reorganize my whole home workstation to be more ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. Your video is great inspiration.
Hey Andrew, great video. Question , the cork coaster the porcelain mug was sitting in looked equally beautiful. Would love to know where that’s from. Cheers
I recommend Supernote A6X as an ink-tabled. Taking it with me and writing when I have something on my mind is just super helpful. This a good Time we live in.
Great video - Have a question for you: I just upgraded from my 2012 MacBook Pro to a 2019 Intel. Budget, so this machine w/have to do for a while. My main interests of use are my growing desire to improve my graphic design skills & photo editing - both using Affinity Designer & Photo. I'd like to set up a desk/studio to use the new machine like a desktop w/a 4k display. My question is, would you recommend the TS4 or would the 3 be good enough w/the new(er) machine? Thank you in advance - I find your videos very informative!
OmG is one of the most interesting setups I've seen on TH-cam. I loved all your accessories and the way you organized them. I bought a Protractor Desk at Barcelona Designs a week ago and, right now, I'm wondering if I should decorate it with a kinetic sand table like that, because it has really blown my mind. Simply fascinating. Thanks for the tour.

dude you're so busy in the first place a few slip ups we don't care about!
The sand table looks incredibly cool - the nerd in me wants one. But surely it defeats the entire point of a zen garden in that you get the relaxation/mindfulness while you physically shape the sand by hand...
Combine that with the knowledge you spent $400 on it.. it removes a fair bit of the zen feeling
Came to the comments to say the same thing. A sand table is supposed to be low tech and simple so you can relax and lose yourself in shaping the patterns.
Instead of wasting time performing a relaxing activity yourself, save time by having a machine relax for you!
Lmao I almost clicked off the video when I saw it. Absolutely defeats the purpose
Cats would love that Drift Bowl! Probably chase and swat at the ball and turn it into a $400 litter box.
Talks about saving the environment and that it's important right after showing a ball getting moved in sand using electricity
But has style tho
There are plenty of ways to generate electricity that don’t harm the environment
@@jawshoouhm Let's not talk about hypotheticals. Most of the electricity is generated via fossil fuels

Yes, because that uses so much electricity

That notebook is badass
Came for the video, stayed for the voice ❤️🔥
I haven’t upgraded to any premium home office supplies or equipment yet, but your videos are peaking my interest.

I am in love with that mug.
And so am I.

You're so welcome!
A mini version of the kinetic bowl will sell like crazy. I agree with the speaker and an additional white noise sound on the app and it will be bliss.
That drift ball is the coolest
It is. I sure hope a smaller version comes out.
So much stuff on the desk would drive me crazy!
I still have the original BenQ desklight it’s 100% one of the best accessories you can get for you desk. It is completely game changing.
My Favorite Accessory is my Porcelain Eye Glasses Holder. I have reading glasses for my desktop so I know where my glasses are every time I sit at my desk. it can also double as a catch all for smaller items.

Gadgets! Thanks for the inspiration, my wallet might hate me, but my Mac will love me!😂
The best note thing companion for me is my Tab S9 Ultra, perfect for everything really, I use it In university for taking notes but for also downloading pdf files and highlighting text and so on.
all this tech got me feelin zesty
I love my G915 Logitech keyboard. Low profile and comfortable to use all day. I need the numpad, so it’s black, a white one (if ever released) would be perfect.
The notebook is something I might actually grab up, what an amazing idea!
You have some awesome flyng light bulb in the background, maybe some words about it.

True. I'm using my sharpener since I was on college, some 13 years ago, it is one of my treasures that moves with me anywhere I go.
My favorite premium accessory is my MX Master 3 mouse because it is very ergonomic and has many features that help me complete tasks efficiently. Never left my side for two years. Techie.
Ah, the greatness of the MX series.
@@AndrewEthanZengwhat is the tray you are using under the mug cupm
Love the santos!
I’m digging the pencil holder, looks a lot better than my old coffee cup pencil holder.
It is nifty. In any case, the coffee cup in this video looks and works well too. 😉
I think my favorite is the Blackwing Pencil Caddy Kit. My wife has really gotten into high-end fountain pens, and those really did not grab my attention, but for some reason those pencils do! I think they are reminiscent of me sitting with my Grandfather at his drafting table as a child.
Fond memories indeed.
That monitor is sick
You should look at the ember mug, got one as a gift and I absolutely love it
Cartier watch. Love it.
Reusable notebooks are great. When you pass away, every thought and record you have ever made is erased when you die like you never existed. But you saved a tree branch in an industry that plants 3 trees for every one it cuts down. So, you can feel good about yourself.
Yes, yes, yes. My mug is in fact the unsung hero of my office. I always say that nothing will work in my office without Coffee. So.
Thanks for sharing and really looking forward to the next home office video
More to come!
Awesome 😎
The bowl is cool, but I'd need one inset into the desk. They should do a kit.
Speaker seems a bit mad, considering they're magnet driven and may interfere, not to mention the vibrations and sand! 😁
Cool video though
Fair enough! And yes, I agree on a more nifty desk kit.
Love these videos, working from home I want my space to be enjoyable and functional
Yes to this! Spending long work hours on a space you enjoy helps ease some of the stress.
the best article on this video is the 2 tone explorer II
I was waiting for the link too that plant pot
The drift bowl truly is rather unique, would appreciate one on display in the office or lounge room.
It's really cool, but imo, its not great for a desk setup, and really deserves to be in the living room as a decoration piece
please keep your cat away from it :)
@@MaxxYurri idk if it would work but building into a desk might work so it's flush
This video was great and helpful with I need for my home office. Thank you
thanks for the great content
Great accessories!
i love your setups style
Really love your office and your videos!
Thank you so much!
I love Rocketbook, been using this for years now.
Integrating song in to the Drift would cause the patterns you get messed up. There is however, a sand and or "glob" speakers that make patterns, also check out how bass effects posting water, it amazing.
What is the desk itself? Looks nice!
We use caldigits at work. They're decent, I recommend. Just remember that every Mac dock on the market sucks in some capacity
One of the best desktop setups on youtube!
Appreciate it.
Pretty cool stuff. Not my style exactly but I like the review process. Thanks for the video.
Great list and well shot video as always. Rocketbook is a thoughtful environmental pick, thumbs up from me 👍
Every conscious decision goes a long way 🍃
This is the video I've been looking for. Thanks for this. Great setup. My favorite on my desk is my M1 16" MacBook Pro! I'm now trying to reorganize my whole home workstation to be more ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing. Your video is great inspiration.
I appreciate your feedback. Enjoy the process.
Love the Cartier santos.
Techie. Great video. Everything has a clean look
Thank you!
Your desk setup is the object of dreams!
Thanks for sharing :)
I'll definitely go that way when kids grow up and the house gets uncluttered.
Hey Andrew, great video. Question , the cork coaster the porcelain mug was sitting in looked equally beautiful. Would love to know where that’s from.
Cheers
This is great... thanks to you I'm getting some kick ass pencils and -- I don't feel so bad as a techie now! your stuff is amazing...
Really interesting stuff! Where did you get the coffee mug holder?
great video thanks
I really have never heard of pencils or microphones. Thanks!
Love all your ideas 💡 As much as I try to take notes on my computer, I always grab paper 📃 ... love the notebook idea!
I enjoy my MoKo wireless MagSafe charger. Great video!
I had never heard of a microphone! What a great invention! Thanks so much!
would be amazing if the homedics drift bowl was able to be mounted with the sand staying in place.
One of my favorite little gadget you've never heard off is a TV!
this woulda been great as a coffee table lowkey?
Awesome! By the way, what’s your monitor brand/model?
I recommend Supernote A6X as an ink-tabled. Taking it with me and writing when I have something on my mind is just super helpful. This a good Time we live in.
Wow, you have a wonderful setup.
The Caldigit TS4 is fantastic. I love mine. Thank you for sharing this video. definitely going to pick up a mug.
Hope you enjoy it!
The reason you've never heard of them is because you've never needed them 😂
Ooo that’s a sweet Cartier Santos
Great video. 👍 Love the products.
Thanks so much!
amazing sand art display!!!!! i want!!!!!

Beautifully presented as always 🙂 I could stare at the kinetic sand table all day!
You and me both!
I would replace your mug with the Ember Mug 😁
I do have one, but the Hasami ones are more me at the moment.
Thanks!
The accessory that’s so crucial but not mentioned at all… what stand is it you’re using for the screen and double shelved? 🤩
Some cool accessories.
I love how this video is titled accessories you’ve never heard of, yet everything you’ve mentioned are common items LOL nice vid tho
Which keyboard is that? im in love with it!!! damn
Hey Andrew, some cool stuff here for sure. But, why not get ride of your pencils, appointment book, and Rocket note book and just use a Remarkable 2?
This looks to be a very fun topic to cover, always neat products coming along that can improve your desk setup. Thanks!
im interested more about the coaster then the mug
My favourite accessory on my own modest desk has to be my orbit key desk mat. I like how it doubles as a paper filing system and cable manager :)
Remarkable 2 would have been a good mention.
Loved the video
What lofi beat is playing in the beginning?
Love it! Which monitor do you have?
I love the riser you're using under your monitor, where can I find it?
Andrew! What keyboard is that? I love that colorway
i really like your videos, inspiring!
Glad you like them! Hope you subscribe for more 👍

Yay! Thank you! The Protractor Desk looks interesting though you might need something wider for the Drift.
Ordered my TS4 back in early June and I’m still waiting.
Any reviews on the keyboard coming? Looks pretty cool
I had that doc and had some serious GHOSTING on the image. I had to return it. I now have a thinkpad dock. Works great.
what screen you are using, and the keyboard/mouse pad?
Great review. One question, what is the brand of your diary ?
It's called The Five Minute Journal.
So intereting!! You didn’t mention about the keyboard you’re using in the video. I’d love to know what it is if you don’t mind :)
i just realized the irony in quoting davinci while owning grovemade pencils lol
