Just an idea for you to fiddle around with for the shorts your channel. How about common phrases that may be used in everyday conversation. Like: "I'm good" "Sorry, still learning ASL" "Have a good day" "How are you?" Just some simple stuff. I think you may have covered some in your longer format videos but I feel like stuff like those would be short enough to fit into a shorts if done one at a time. Just an idea, with just a few examples.
I always appreciate new ideas. Thanks for watching and for the feedback. I think I cover a few of your suggestions in my “How are you?” short but I will keep the others in mind. 👍🏼 How to Sign - How Are You? - Sign Language - ASL #shorts th-cam.com/users/shortsF8oD0_KEQas?feature=share
The first sign of "Good" it's like "Thank You"? Escuse me, please, I'm starting learning ASL to translate for many languages. Congratulations for yout channel and thanks for your videos. I'm brazilian translatior and interpreter for our sign language - Libras. Nice to meet you!
Hi and thanks for watching! Yes, the "one - handed" sign for "good" is the same as "thank you." If the context of the conversation doesn't make it clear, you can use the second option to make sure that you are understood. 👍🏼
Hello I just subscribed I was inspired by my teacher to Learn sign language could you maybe do… “He” “she” “I’m” me” “him” “her” “your” any works and btw I love your videos ❤❤
So the difference between good and thank you? Please if you don't mind explaining I want to make sure I get it right. Like if I'm signing "good" with one hand is there anything that differentiates good and thank you?
That is a great question. “Good” and “thank you” are the same sign. The difference being that you can use the two handed version of good. They both start at or near the chin but most often “thank you” is signed in the direction of the person that you are referring to. The context of the situation will determine the meaning if there is any doubt.
That’s a great question. More often than not the context of the conversation will determine the meaning. If you are signing and you want to make sure you are clear, you can use both hands. If you are still unsure, you can always clarify by asking the person which word they meant.
Essentially they are the same sign but “good” can be signed using both hands if you want to make sure you are clear. Also, the context of the conversation helps. You are right! "Thank you" and "good" are the same sign except the version of "good" that uses both hands (like I show in the beginning of the video). If there is any doubt, the context of the conversation will determine the meaning.

@@ASLLOVE thank you so much
I have a question. How do you know if the person is saying "thank you" or "good" if they are only using one hand?
