    That was awesome. I laughed, and am humbled as well. One thing that may go unnoticed by some, but I thought was fantastic, was the realistic spacing of your tracks. It appears as if over time, the railroad made some changes from its original design decades ago. The yard I work mostly has changed 3 times in 24 years. Some tracks removed, some switches removed, keeping up with the times. This is the storytelling that many lack, but you nailed perfectly. Kudos, and thanks for the shout out.

      I’m honored that you liked it! Funny thing is I learned most railroading tips from your informative videos. Your expertise & videography make for next level learning 👍🏼 Thanks for everything man!

    Nice! Those vehicles look really nice. Walthers is honestly one of my favorite brands, they make so much stuff, its budget-friendly and looks really good. Keep up the good work! Can't wait for friday.

    I really like your methodical approach to scenery and your layout in general. Your actions are carefully thought out and gradually implemented which keeps the interest high every step of the way. Too much development makes it too busy for the sake of making it look busy. You are doing great !

    Awesome!!!! Those modern Ho Scale trucks were first made by Boley before Walther's added the vehicles to their Scene Master line. I have some of them with the Boley brand name I've bought before Walther's started offering them under their Scene Master line. Most of them are the newer Internationals and Chevys along with the older Late 1980s - 1990s International cabs with the boxy look. While the Newer International cabs have streamlined curves. Boley also made modern Ho Scale firefighting vehicles.

      Wow I never knew that. Boley sure did a good job designing them. Thanks for the cool info!

    Another great video TR and I've got the same M.O.W. trucks for my layout! You've done a nice job with the static grass and the extra pieces for bushes looks awesome! This layout is really shaping up nicely! Thanks again for sharing your videos on this series. I look forward to seeing them as well as the new ones!

    I like the work you do on your layouts. I have a question about the telephone poles. Do you or others add wire to them to make them more realistic ? Just wondering.

    • @TopRailroad
      @TopRailroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do plan on adding the wires and all later on. I know if I do it now, my clumsy self will end up clipping it while working 😂 Sp better do to it when the scenery is close to done

    I know other people have different opinions, but I think the videos should be longer. What you could do is just do a video every Sunday or Monday so that you have everything that you did all week all in one video. Since you do 2 videos a week, that makes the videos double the length. Plus, since life is busy at times, you only have to worry about getting 1 video out a week other than multiple. Again, just an opinion, but I believe the majority of people would agree. Maybe you could do a community pole to see if people would like that better 👀. Aside from that point; your layout is really coming along nicely. I’m sure you plan on doing this, but weathering the vehicles and buildings and eventually the rolling stock would be a very, very great thing for the layout. Also, on the BN unit, you could re-number it and put the BNSF lettering under the road number just like on ex-BN units you can see today. Thank you for the great content and hope to see you take my suggestions into consideration! 👍

    • @TopRailroad
      @TopRailroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really appreciate the constructive criticism. The poll is something I’ll probably do sometime to see what the majority vote is. What do you think is the ideal time for a video? And I do need to get some BNSF lettering on my engine soon haha

    • @awr1050
      @awr1050 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your videos are usually around 5 minutes, so I would say at least 10 minutes would be cool. I know that varies, though. But, that is understandable. Thanks for the consideration.

    I am starting a railroad build but have no time or planning ability. I just want to lay some track for my son and I to play with. I contacted several people they want over 900 bucks for a train plan thats not including the benchwork!! which is about 2 to 3k for the size room I have. My question to Top Railroad, as I take extensive notes on the materials you use.. Did you screw the plywood onto the plastic shelves or use some other method? If you used screws can you show or tell what type of screw you used?? thank you for your time also thank you for inspiring me to get off my butt.

    My layout consisted of a fewsmall dioramas like this, a lot of detail in a small area while the rest looked post-apocalyptic. Was fun though. Will you be weathering those trucks?

    • @TopRailroad
      @TopRailroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s awesome! Yes some areas on the layout are pretty baron, it’ll take time to get to all spots haha. And eventually I will for sure 👍🏼
