As a native speaker of Japanese from Tokyo, I assure I could never, ever detect a single tiny bit of foreign accent with her Japanese. Incredible.
I’m no language expert so I wonder why does accent matter when speaking a language?

@@misora25chan Highly, highly doubtful by that time seeing as the Myth girls just only recently got theirs a couple months ago. IRyS hasn’t even gotten her New Years’ outfit yet due to delays. She will definitely get 3D at some point though, hopefully in the near future because she deserves to sing in 3D alongside Sora and AZKi instead of from within a frame with her L2D
@@chanlaman2565 they don't need to get new year outfit first before getting a 3d model. Remember that gen 4 debuted their 3d model before their NY outfit (also it took them almost a year before getting a new outfit). I think Irys will get her 3d model soon to allow her to perform on stage as a vsinger.

This is the best Internet Overdose cover I've heard. I've listened bunch of them like Akie, Nanahira, Nakuru and other vtubers covering this song as well. I like Nakuru's version too but something about IRyS' vocal really brings out the energy of this song and also really fitting. Not to mention that she has very good Japanese. Her pronunciation and articulation are amazing, hopefully she will do more covers.

So out of the 3 who I know covered this song, this is unironically the closest to the actual song in the overall vocals. I understand Polka went with a more unique approach to it, but Aqua just didn't really do it for me with a lot of what I heard.

It’s talking about how people pretend to live in a virtual world, becoming otaku and leaving family/society behind, and comparing it to stuff like hallucinating on drugs to escape the harsh reality of the real world
