    This was an excellent and helpful explanation of EBP and how to conduct a study to bring changes we desire. I loved this! I can use your clear instructions for my entrepreneurial business training service! Thanks so much!

    I had to subscribe. Not just a helpful video but, delivered by a mature, calm voiced person. Can not stand the loud, high pitched female nurses who scream at me the subject material. Glad I found you.

    EBP is important because this is what will take the nursing profession out of the hospitality and service sector (we are treated like food service and hotel housekeeping) and into the STEM fields where we belong.

      That is the goal ....however, that is not reality. The coffee, tea or milk situation is incorporated as an emotional/psychological need/connection. The public doesn't know any better and therefore translates it as "hospitality". Nursing has been on the track of "proving" ourselves for decades ...yet

      @@meas7762 Unfortunately, the public seems to “need” coffee and drinks and food” more than they need actual healthcare. I’m burnt out on serving food and drinks. That’s why I don’t do it anymore.

      @@gradehacker I wrote several papers specifically about this during my program. Nursing is a STEM field (science for sure, maybe even tech to an extent), but the older population still thinks it’s 1950 and the little nurses should be running around in their caps fetching food and water and fluffing pillows. They literally do not care about medications or treatments nearly as much as they care about snacks and blankets. It’s soul sucking. I’ve had older patients enter a room where we are performing CPR to ask for a blanket and water. These people do not belong in an advanced society.

    Sticking to sound rationale and the fundamentals of nursing is not what alot of nurses want to do - from the top down. Evidence based practice leads to positive outcomes yet its not mandatory for nurses to read about the latest in evidenced based practice...make it make sense??

    • @americandissident9062
      @americandissident9062 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nurses really want to stick to what they know and what “has always worked”. They don’t want to change and adapt. Older nurses have this huge issue with doing new things because boomers simply dislike younger people.
