    Oh geez, not bragging but now I feel great about my deal. Ordered my 2 door, Badlands, Sasquatch, Lux, 2.7 in 2021. Waited 2.5 years and finally took possession 3 weeks ago. With price protection, my MSRP was 54.5k, 8k less than the current 62.5k MSRP. My dealer did me solid!

    Base Sasquatch, and a few extras, $43,380 OTD and flat state tax of $600.

    Thanks for the transparency. I know a lot of people don’t like to go into detail like you did, but it’s definitely helpful. I stupidly ordered my Bronco this July 2023, and unfortunately with the strike, there’s probably no way it will be built anytime soon. So I ended up finding a used 2022 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sas, Lux and Tow for $57K here in Vegas. Luckily there wasn’t any hidden fees and no hidden markups. So I am pretty satisfied with my find. If I had stuck around for my 2023 Build, it would have cost me $75K (estimate for now at least). I’m fine with saving almost $13K on depreciation.

    My wife and I have been eyeing up the bronco as well, for very similar reasons 😂. Don’t feel bad about your sales tax of 7.75%, it’s a lot worse up here in Canada. The total $ creeps up real fast. Great looking bronco, it’s nice seeing that colour in “normal” lighting. Take care.

    That seems not right somehow but I see these stories quite often. I ordered my fully loaded 2023 Wildtrack (including the Hoss 3.0, leather/vinyl, Lux package, rear table, hard top, etc. etc), December 8, 2022. I received it (March 1, 2023) yesterday. It is absolutely gorgeous. Where I live the sales tax is 12%. My total bill was $93,300. But here is the thing. I live in Manitoba, Canada. In US$ that works out to $67,500. (That includes an unexpected $1500 rebate). So I ended up paying less than I expected. The big plus is the dealership was honourable, and were content with their built in markup. I just wish everyone had access to that experience.
    Having said that, I love your color combination and you finally have your Zombie Apocalypse escape package ready...

      Mostly accessible stuff anyone can do to start. Eventually we hope to do more "intrusive" mods to the Bronco later. 🙂

    All due respect, but I wouldn’t have given a single penny to the dealer. 5K Markup on a custom order?! Thats unheard of. I’m pretty sure that the dealer pulled a fast one as corporate stated that special orders have no markup.

    We got a 2022 V6 4-door BaseSquatch for $43k plus tax. No mark ups and no bogus fees. We always buy everything w cash. No debt. We are thrilled with it. Its another way to do things if you are not made of money.

    Glad I found this video. I just ordered a 2023 Bronco that is almost the exact same. Only difference is, mine is a Badlands. I did the same color and same options. Awesome to see it in a video! My MSRP is $65,405 and dealership has promised only tax and tag extra. No dealer fees. Hopefully I'm not waiting as long as you guys did, but I am expecting it to be my 2023 Xmas present....

    My wife just bought the exact bronco with soft top. Got it at MSRP from a ford dealer that is not into ripping off their customers. Dealer in long beach wanted 20k over.

    I ordered a 23 BD SAS 2.3 Hardtop Mid Package in March and it came out to $55k without taxes. Currently in production. Seems like if you ordered the same OBX now youd prob pay even more? At that point id imagine itd be worth just getting a Wildtrack.

    Didn’t you have price protection from Ford for being an early reservation holder? I got my bronco in Aug 2021 so I’m not too familiar with the price protection rules, other than what I’ve read online.

    • @broncobebop
      @broncobebop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had to look it up, and I think from what I've read, the $2845 was the price protection to cover MSRP increases from the 2021 to the 2023. I don't know if price protection extends to the dealer markups. I'll tell you what though. I'm kind of pissed off more about this now, and I plan on contacting Ford corporate to see what they have to say. If I get any info, I'll post it here and/or make a follow-up video on it.

    Why wasn’t the tax liability reduced by the trade and incentives rebate amount?

    • @broncobebop
      @broncobebop  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've checked the local dealer where we got ours a few times in the last couple weeks, and they've had nothing. The next nearest dealer has had a bunch on them though, but they're asking at least $10k-$15k over MSRP, so that might be why.

    The biggest issue was the dealer mark up. As a reservation holder, there was supposed to be price protection. Should have had them put it I writing. Dealers love for you to walk. Then they can get 10k over. My 22 badlands was MSRP at 2021 pricing. Your dealer is an asshole.

    • @broncobebop
      @broncobebop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty sure the $2845 was the price protection to cover MSRP increases from the 2021 to the 2023. We've never reserved a vehicle before, and it never occurred to us that we wouldn't get the 2021. We won't forget this experience if we have to do it again!

    I'm just in shock you dropped 30 thousand on a vehicle 😳. You know it will lose value. That's insane

    • @broncobebop
      @broncobebop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If we came in with only the trade-in and no cash, we would have paid an additional $6,400 in interest, or a total of $10,500 on top of the price of the Bronco. That would have been a monthly payment of over $1,000. Alternatively, if we could have invested that $30k and earned a better rate than what we got from Ford loan, then that would have been ideal. Unfortunately, that isn't possible in today's financial climate. But I'm no finance guru, so maybe what I did was wrong (and a little insane)? 🤔🤪
