I originally wanted a base Bronco since it listed for $29,999 MSRP but with dealer markups in Ohio making them $50,000 or more for a base and now the QC issues with Ford Trucks which used to be a minor problem…I may never buy Ford again but every other car manufacturer has been marking up prices also and having QC issues as well. I think all the car manufacturers have gone beyond greedy to just not caring. But that’s just my opinion.

You are right about that plus Ford factories will be shutting down soon for retooling getting ready for next year's models so inventory always grows this time of year as there will be much lower delivery numbers now until about August or later. My first car was a 2001 Ford Focus that was purchased new. That car was pretty much my favorite car in life. It lasted me all the way through 2011 when it was totaled in a crash. After that, got a 2012 Ford Escape. Another amazing car that, if it weren't for a hailstorm, I would've still had to this day. I don't know what happened to Ford between 2012 & 2015, but I bought a 2015 Ford Focus, thinking it would be like my last Focus. Like night and day. That 2015 Focus was crap. I went through 3 "PowerShift" transmissions in that car. The car loved to shudder & stall. There were battery & other electronic gremlins that would have my lights completely cut off while driving (even at night). I kept the car until it was almost the end of the warranty period and decided to try once more. In 2018, I got another Focus, but when the transmission still shuddered while driving at only 3 months of ownership, I traded it in for a Mazda3. My Mazda3 is still in my driveway and aside from regular maintenance, I'm approaching 85k miles and this car is still riding and running just as good as the day I bought it.
Ford just stopped building quality vehicles and banked on brand loyalty to sustain them and, there's only so much brand loyalty people can have. Do I think the Bronco is a nice vehicle? Yes! I would LOVE to get one, but the experience of owning a modern Ford have made me not want to ever own another Ford vehicle again.

You’re not even talking about all the cars that were parked at the factory plants because there was no computer chips
that still have to be brought to the dealers sold and then find the factory problems on them. I hope that when the dealerships except those vehicles that all the factory recalls are done right there and then before they sell them to the customers.
But knowing the dealerships that I’ve dealt with across the country I highly doubt it though just wait until they sell it and help the name of Ford go further down with shitty quality control
When you think how many plants that make different parts for the Ford vehicles and then the parts come together at one location quality control is a big problem.
Just for an example, I am a truck driver. For a short time I did flatbeds. Oil city Pennsylvania has a factory that makes rolled steel. That rolled steel gets taken to Barberton Ohio. That’s where Chrysler has their driveshaft division. I don’t really think that it’s only Chrysler but Chrysler names on it. Because there’s trucks that pull out of there and used to go to the Lordstown plant in Ohio for driveshafts. But just with the example, you got the oil city company different state is the steel made properly. When it’s delivered to Barberton Ohio are they putting that rolled steel together making sure their welds are proper. Then you figure all the other parts the universal joints where they come from. Good luck trying to get quality control under control when you’re not making everything at one plant. Most of the electronic stuff come from Europe, France, China.

The Corvette and the Bronco have had problems. But these vehicles were not just generational redesigns, they were completely new vehicles. Everything was new from bumper to bumper. Nothing was carried forward from a prior generation. Every car company experiences the more problems, when they take on a massive project like a totally new vehicle. A company can test the hell out of new prototypes and early runs vehicles, but it simply will not flush out all the problems that thousands of cars being driven millions of miles in various conditions will reveal.
I don't care who the manufacturer is, never buy a car that is a completely new vehicle, it will have more problems the first year or two.

After listening to the video, I can understand why Ford has such a high price markup - to pay for all the recalls. The CEO states that quality is his number one priority that will take years to recover. His job may not last that long and I am sure he is fully aware of that fact. The issue starts with him and should trickle down through the dealerships for ownership. Once trust is lost it is hard to win any customers back, add in continuous recalls exacerbates the task. I would expect more from a CEO than formulating a problem statement, a step by step corrective action plan needs to be laid out to show a firm grasp for the seriousness of the issue. Clawing back customers after a multitude of failures does nothing to instill confidence for future sales.
