The Hulk Video Game is Pretty Good!

- The movie tie in game for Ang Lee's Hulk is often overlooked because of its vastly more successful younger brother Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. But Hulk 2003 has some qualities of its own that makes for an enjoyable albeit short experience.

The PS1 Diego hosting the show is such a cool touch. I like how you covered this game with a lot more of the perspective of the time than I did. I don't remember 2003 all that well because I was only 5, so that aspect of this video was really interesting. Also, you mentioned that Hulk 2003 ended in South America and that sort of leads into the Incredible Hulk movie, which I completely forgot about because I haven't seen Ang Lee's Hulk in a long time. Maybe one day we should review both Hulk movies and talk about how they could be connected, even if "officially" they aren't.

Hulk (2003) ends with Bruce dispensing medicine and deals with militia confiscating the stuff denying people in need and embracing his rage to defend the people. Incredible Hulk (2008) starts with him working in a soda factory while in search of a cure and training to manage his temper and hold his rage.
Aside from the South America bit, the connection between the two movies is not there.
Ang Lee's Hulk is a underrated masterpiece
I appreciate this game having so many lesser known villains as bosses. Hulk has a decent rogues gallery so it's good they're in battles that use their gimmicks.
If I could change one thing, I wish the stealth sections had a soliton radar in the corner. They're fairly tough otherwise.

The Ang Lee Hulk movie is super underrated it's kinda sucks that The Hulk isn't getting any love anymore because of the MCU neutering his character in favor of She-Hulk

Completely agree. Always have. When I heard Ed Norton was playing him I was ecstatic. But when I saw it, I was somewhat disappointed. Ang Lee and Eric bana were superior and it’s a great film. Definitely my favorite comic movie of all time

I really hope this eventually leads into a [PROTOTYPE] video because a. it's almost never talked about and b. it's one of my favorite games of all time, and I find it really neat that you can see the seeds for it in a bunch of Radical's early titles
Everybody tears apart the 2003 film but this game was amazing

As a huge Ang Lee's Hulk fan and also a Radical fan, this is one of those games that define the PS2 era for me. I loved watching you play this on stream, and really enjoyed your enthusiasm in this one.

It was pretty solid. A lot of movie tie ins these days were decent. The rep is they are trash but by this point most were more average than bad

I don't know if it'd be as perfect as I think it would be, but I think it'd fit the style nicely.
I enjoyed the crap outta this game as a kid. Been thinking about rebuying this and Ultimate Destruction for a while, but I'm unsure on it. Just never really have that much time to play video games like I used to.

Overall, I think this game is just ok, although I kinda wish that it had some kinda co-op versus mode where you can play as the other villains and beat each other up. The 2003 Hulk game walked so that Hulk: Ultimate Destruction could run! Also, I loved using Gray Hulk when you unlocked him via cheat code!
When this movie came out they sold green colored chocolate syrup and drinking one cup of it made me violently ill as a child

I love that very ASMR movie, but I haven't played this game. It's nice to hear it's solid entertainment.
I always dug the Ultimate Destruction, it's nice to see how they found a way to lay a foundation for that game, and adding some aspects with Bruce Banner have stealth segments is a nice way to implement the "man and monster" idea. I DO like the SNES game, if not for anything else but it's banger OST with Acid and Jungle inspired music.
*80's lou's hulk and he continued as hulk in the 90's voicing the character in an animated hulk series

@@itsBATMAYNE nah fam. 2008 can’t even do half the stuff as ultimate destruction. The combat, movement & physics are clunky, the game’s execution as a whole is worse than 2003. Empty boring open world. To each their own, but imo it’s a soulless game.
This one was decent....as long as you played with Hulk, because those Banner stealth missions were pretty bad. Radical Entertainment did 1000X better with Hulk Ultimate Destruction.
I don't like this game. The stealth sections are horrid and the Hulk sections are better but still pretty basic. I also hate anything connected to Ang Lee's horrid film.
