I have a male German Shepherd unneutered and he’s 7 1/2 years old just starting to give a seizure last year. He had Great. It was diagnosed by the vet. Had blood work done. They have apple epilepsy even put on phenobarbital still having seizures every blue moon, who have a cluster each time. The last cluster he had, he got in a wobbly as usual, and then all of a sudden day by day, it got worse to the point where sometimes he’ll stand athis back and for a couple minutes and then go down most of the time he gets uptakes a step or two and goes down, he tries to use his legs his back legs he does know it can’t be permanent because he does one morning. I woke up and he was moved from one of his beds to the other one so I know he’s using him. I just order him a wheelchair by walkingwheels for dogs on the 23rd of this month and a vet comes out to my house tomorrow to do x-rays regardless whether it’s rehab and doing some therapy or it permanent the wheel try hope helps him and helps him his attitude, but I have a question because he’s been constipated and I cook home-cooked meals for my dogs hundred percent ground turkey or chicken or fresh salmon along with either a fresh broccoli carrots green beans or spinach steamed I give him a little bit of pumpkin. I gave him a little bit of brown rice very little I give any accidents and trace minerals, and he never had a problem before, but I don’t know if it’s because he has a hard time standing in. It’s been they having a hard time using his back legs, but I’ve done a lot of research and the phenobarbital I found out is horrible for their bodies, but i’m had blood work done a few times through the vet, checking all organs and everything is liver and all comes back clear he hasn’t been on it maybe 67 months but I’ve never been through this before I’ve been giving them just a little tiny bit of ground turkey maybe a handful with a little bit of canned food. I use Nutri source and I make just a tiny bit maybe a tablespoon of pumpkin and a drop of olive oil he eats while he drinks a lot. I’m just looking for some advice. I’m trying to do everything I can for this dog. He’s a light of our lives and he has a lot of life left in themsuggestions come out below. 😢❤️

I have a 5 pound chihuahua mix that is 7.5 years old that has always had teeth problems that just started to have seizures. We suspect it is the reoccurring mouth infection that we are constantly having him treated for that is the cause. Do you think that might be what is causing them considering his age? If so, how would you treat him if he were yours? His blood work looked good except showing an increase in inflammation which we knew because of his teeth.
Also, would you risk putting him under to remove all of his teeth? And with his size, what are the chances that they break his jaw? His seizures started about 2 months ago. They have occurred about 1 every 8 to 10 days but he also had 2 seizures in 1 day twice now. We want to do what is best for him but don't know what that is and have seen multiple vets this summer with no real answers or solutions

very informative thank you.. I would just like to know what can be done with old age dogs who get like a glitch of ±3 sec, basically after a noise of just about anything, from a packet of crisps or tin bowl.. ? Thanks.

That voice graphic along the bottom is VERY distracting, unpleasant and unnecessary - just my 2cents worth.
