      I enjoyed this video. Thank you Valeria for your legitimate questions and concerns as well as your pure honesty in regards your personal journey with plastic surgery. I think your nose is perfect . I too have a small nose but love it. No plastic surgery on this end . Trying to age gracefully. Dr Fairchild was an excellent choice of a guest for you . I have tremendous respect for her in her approach to plastic surgery. She is refreshing . Thank you .

    I disagree with the doctor about how social media isn’t effecting people’s desire to want more surgery/botox/filler. I never even considered filler until I saw so many everyday women on social media getting it that I thought maybe I need it too. And I grew up reading magazines and seeing beautiful women but now it’s more in your face. Like everyday I open my phone I see it vs before only when I opened up a Magazine

    I wish people would talk more about the dangers of breast implants. I got mine done at 19 by a top Harley Street doctor. Fast forward ten years and after about six years of chronic health conditions, I had emergency surgery to remove two erupted implants that had been leaking carcinogenic material into my body for God knows how long. Parts of the implant are still fused to my lymph nodes so could not be removed. The online breast implant illness groups have hundreds of thousands of members... Seriously, we cut our bodies open, shove two plastic bags next to our vital organs, and sow ourselves back up and leave them to sit inside a hot body for years... Our immune system spends every second attacking the foreign object, which leads to autoimmune disorders... there are certain breast cancers that ONLY come from implants. Some people tolerate them better than others, but this is the medical industry lying and gaslighting for profit as usual when they say they are safe.

      Yes!!! I will never get implants as badly as I want them because I have seen my body react to foreign ANYTHING- piercings, tattoos, and my septoplasty all went so wrong.
      I will not risk it after all my experiences plus the stories I have heard about breast implant sickness.
      Even a fat transfer can be dangerous and not turn out the way you plan.

    I love you Valeria and you are beautiful, but i doubt your path to rinoplasty was a long process. You were a 16 year old kid… if the process was long you would have waited till you were 19 or 20 since that would have been when your face finished growing to its adulthood
    Ok, i just finished the video and Valeria adressed this issue in a beautiful and mindful way😊😊 ❤

    Not really sure I'd want anyone operating on me (for any reason) who is "so used to running on not alot of sleep and probably more coffee than I need", no matter how "gorgeous" they are.

    she's brilliant. I also had a nose job, and I can relate to you. The way I felt about myself changed. It's all about you and how it makes you feel. Really it's priceless.

    Just this Saturday I sat next to 3 middle eastern young ladies with the same chin implants and jaw lines, nose jobs. Yes, they were all beautiful but were pretty much identical - there are definitely trends and certain manufactured look many are after. I wish I could see more often individualised procedures done.
    I'm all about corrections that can better one's confidence but I know of certain surgeons that seem to only produce one type of nose, for example.
    Research, research, research!

      Worry about yourself. So tired of people trying to force others to accept themselves. Sometimes, you can't. Sometimes, you tried for years or even decades. Life is too short to be unhappy about yourself if you can change it. Of course it's a big deal and shouldn't be taken lightly. But I also think it can really help some people into having a better confidence, so why not??

    I didn't finish the conversation but I have been wondering - if you have a kind of obvious surgery like nose job or implants - what would you tell your daughter about it if she inherits the same trait that you changed? Aren't you sending a message that she doesn't look good just by virtue of having a surgery to change it?

      @@ValeriaLipovetsky I just saw the entire episode 😊 I am still struggling with this - the way Dr Fairchild said smth along the lines of "it's your child, to you they are perfect and you don't want them to change" - but how can someone say that when they changed the exact feature their child has 20 years ago? Is this the time you learn you should (have) love(d) yourself?
      It reminds me of Friends when Rachel was terrified Emma will inherit her nose lol.

    • @anacarmes
      @anacarmes 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I agree, kids learn from behavior much more than words, you can tell her she’s beautiful but she’ll see you didn’t like that part of yourself. I find it very complex. Specially because cosmetic procedures promote the same features in everyone, same small nose, same bigger chest, is not like there are many variations to what people do, I think specially women are also losing representation culturally with this…

      I am so so sorry to hear this. While I’m not totally against plastic surgery, people who pretend that it’s such a silly minor thing are just dishonest. So many women feel inadequate in their natural bodies, and social media/ marketing/ over-sexualization from a young age capitalized on this.

    I miss the days where girls looked natural. I miss the days where doctors were called doctors and dedicated their life to saving lives. So sick of this vain society we live in - how do people not get bored by this obsession with getting plastic surgery.

  • @MsBombastix
    @MsBombastix 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I wish there wasn't such a stigma around plastic surgery. In an ideal world people (especially women) would be celebrated equally regardless of weight, age, or looks in general. Sadly, we will never see such a world and I think it's great plastic surgery exists to make people feel a little bit better about their bodies if they have big insecurities about it.
    I will agree that certain people take it too far, and it becomes an obsession or unnatural looking, but it can be a beautiful thing adding back confidence that "loving yourself as you are" couldn't accomplish.

      Then so what, let us be ugly. It can bring a sense of freedom to hold a space for the wholeness of myself. The ugly, the pretty, the feminine ,the masculine. To be whole is to be perfect. And if a surgery is a solution and a way to you, then go for it. Just let us act from the place of wholeness, instead of self abandonment. The meaning of this Phrase is different for every Individual

    The TRUTH is we were all made just as we were meant to be and TRUE MENTAL HEALTH is found in embracing that being just as you were created. A surgery will never fix it for you, you will simply find a new thing to complain about.
    Even if it does “fix” that insecurity, and does not have complications or turn out not to look as you hoped,
    You will not have become better for it.
    From what I can tell online,
    The “stigma” around getting work done is long gone.
    From here on it is just women trying to justify vanity.
    Which is your choice to worship your vanity and lay thousands on the altar for that but social “stigma” is no longer an actual concern, it is just the same as only fans trying to break the “stigma” of being a sex worker.
    You know on some level that it is not the answer to your problems that you want to believe it is.

    When I first saw Valeria i first moment understood Valeria has jad nose job as the nose is sos mall and rtomy and looks so unnatural - Michael Jackson look.
    MJ had many Rinoplasty and made nose reduction too many times..
    I liked Valerias nose in old photos more than todays, just not like when people do unproprotional surgeries that shpuldnloud - fake! Nose that is smaller than a kids nose or a petite skinny girl has hige boobies like size 4 or 5 kust looks unnatural and fake.
    I support plastic surgery but if you do, donit natural way.. if u have no chest make size A or V but not from zero to D - lokks terrible.
    Same with nose.. if you edit a lil bit so people not notice - is good. But when you make nose tiny and sharp and fake looking like Michael Kavkson nose - looks unnatural and all my attention is to the nose - that was anout Valeria when i fiest saw her i looked on her nose and wondered how many surgeries she has done to make it so small 🙈
